Three Minute Challenge: Astrid Ostberg vs. Nashi Dragneel

When Nashi struck the turnbuckle, a rumble went through the ring, shaking the ropes and the canvas. And when the Norsewoman looked down at her foe, pinned in place by the sheer force of her shove, it was with a narrow-eyed stare, looking her right in the eyes. Astrid was doing this for Nashi because she saw potential in her. She was sure that the pink-haired girl could achieve greatness if she tried - she just needed the right challenge to bring it out of her. But that also meant that Astrid wasn't going to hold back, and Nashi would feel the brunt of it!

The impact with the turnbuckle had driven the air out of Nashi's lungs, but that wasn't quite good enough for Astrid. She bent lower, running one hand between her opponent's legs to hoist her upward - and then threw her straight down to spike her into the mat with a bodyslam! "Believe me," Astrid said, "I'm just getting started, too!" Already, Astrid was hitting hard - one could only imagine what she had up her sleeve!

Nashi struck the turnbuckle”GUH!” she gasped bending over as felt like a bull hit her in the stomach. The idol was trying to get the air back in her lungs before Astrid attacked. The pinklette pulled her head up and saw the Norwegian coming back like a predator wanting to eat it’s pry! Nashi didn’t have time to move out of the ring before she was lifted up and on her shoulders!

“I still gotta fight!” she shouted weakly with her voice slowly coming back to the singtress. Nashi tried to punch her opponent in the back but to no avail as Astrid slammed her hard on the mat! “AHH!!” it was a weak scream but a loud stud hit the arena when she hit the mat. Nashi was left on the mat in pain trying to push herself back up or even attempting to roll away from Astrid to get some breathing room.

When Nashi came crashing down against the mat, Astrid bent at the knees, bringing herself lower in order to look over at her downed foe with her hands on her hips. She had to give Nashi credit for one thing - despite her less than impressive performance last time, and her unassuming looks, she was showing the sort of stamina and dedication the Norsewoman couldn't help but admire in a wrestler. Astrid had been keeping the pressure on Nashi, locking her down with blow after blow that left the smaller girl with little opening to take back the momentum - but still, she was determined not to go down, and she put everything she had into bouncing back!

Astrid smiled to her, nodding her head. She was off to a good start - but she wasn't about to let Nashi go just yet. Talking was one thing...but seeing if Nashi could back those claims up when push came to shove, that was another. She wanted to challenge Nashi, forcing her to push past her limits to see what she was really capable of! "Is that so? Let's put that to the test..."

Nashi was struggling to try and push herself up from the mat - which meant that Astrid had her chance to strike! She reached down to grab her by the arm, lifting it up and swinging her legs into place to wrap them around Nashi's bicep. Then, she would fall to her back, twisting at the idol's shoulder with an armbar!

Nashi was on the ground struggling to get back up and fight. She soon felt Astrid grabbing her and swinging her body into a brutal armbar! “I can’t give up!” she shouted out loud. The idol felt Astrid’s legs crushing her body but knew she couldn’t give up! She went to send her knee into Astrid’s legs hoping it would do some damage. If that wasnt sucessful, Nashi went to use her free hand to grab one of Astrid’s boots. She aimed to try and slowly push it up hoping to give her free room to breathe.

Astrid grit her teeth, intent on squeezing down on Nashi's arm with as much force as she could muster. Her muscles bulged, stretching to their limit as the force bearing down around Nashi's bicep grew stronger and stronger. Some of the fans watching from the stands gasped - they could only imagine how much Nashi had to have been hurting when she had the full force of Astrid's incredible strength clamping down on her. Yet, she was still fighting it. She didn't even scream - all she did was call back at Astrid in defiance! The Norsewoman glanced back at her, and for just a brief fleeting moment, their eyes met - and Astrid smiled. Astrid was doing this to test Nashi's mettle, and if she was standing up against the champion's best efforts, she could tell she had what she needed to succeed. She had the potential in her to become a champion herself some day - maybe not today, but the sun hadn't set on Nashi Dragneel.

In fact, even now, Nashi was fighting back. She swung her elbow into Astrid's leg, each time landing against it with the sound of a smack. Astrid was holding firm, with her powerful thighs absorbing much of the damage - but Nashi was keeping it up, and little by little, her efforts were beginning to bear fruit. With each blow she landed, Astrid's grip eased more and more - until at last the pink-haired girl could grab her by the ankle. The champion stiffened her leg, fighting to keep it still and steady, but inch by inch Nashi was gaining back ground - until at last, she had made enough room for herself to escape!

Seeing that her efforts were futile, Astrid broke away from the armbar, rolling across the mat to get to her feet. The crowd cheered Nashi for showing the will to fight back, but for now, Astrid was going to hold back and wait to see what she would do next, letting out a breath and sinking into a stance. This match wasn't over yet, after all - and when Nashi seemed to focus on her mobility, Astrid knew it would be most effective to watch her and prepare for any sudden moves.

Nashi couldn’t believe it. Despite being stretched as if she was to be ripped in half! Hearing the cheers made the idol proudly raise a fist in the air saying”YA HEAR THAT ASTRID THIS IS WHERE I BELONG!” she shouted proudly to her opponent”I know this isn’t you’re favorite match but I hope it will be one of you’res favorites!” she smirked confidently going up for a head to head lock up this time! “I may be smaller but I still got plenty of energy in me!” Nashi had a burning fire right in her eyes as she began to pull out all the stops aiming to try and push the heavyweight champ back into a corner!

As she brought her arms up to ready her defense, Astrid smiled. Nashi was getting all the cheers an idol of her reputation would have expected - but this time, Astrid knew they were well-earned. She'd escaped from some of Astrid's most punishing holds, she was still standing in the face of all her offense - and through it all, she was still screaming it to the heavens, taking pride in every bit of what she was doing! When she first met her, Astrid wasn't sure if Nashi had it in her to live up to her father's example; if she would take too much after her idol mother. But now, all her doubts had been answered. Nashi was finally growing into the wrestler she had always dreamed of being.

Nashi stepped closer, closing the distance between her and the champion - and there, what Astrid saw made her eyes widen in surprise. Despite being quite clearly outmeasured in strength, Nashi was nonetheless going for a lockup against the Heavyweight Champion! It seemed absurd that anyone like her was going to overpower Astrid - but Nashi didn't care. There wasn't a hint of hesitation on her face. She was going into this with every hope that she could, indeed, force Astrid to concede her ground. The Norwegian bent lower in her stance, but she smirked at Nashi all the same - she liked that kind of bravado in her!

"Then, by all means..." Astrid said, reaching out to take hold of Nashi, "...give it your best shot!"

Astrid grasped Nashi tightly by the collar and elbow. She clamped down as hard as she could right off the bat, and she leaned in closer, clenching her teeth and hissing under her breath as she put all the forward momentum she could manage up against her foe. It seemed as though Astrid should have been able to bowl Nashi over in an instant, and yet...the idol wasn't moving. Neither of them were moving, in fact. Astrid and Nashi had entered a deadlock; both were shoving against one another as hard as they could, but neither moved an inch! Astrid leaned in closer, her muscles bulging as she pushed forward with her back and her shoulders...but Nashi stayed right where she was. She was forcing every bit of strength she could to the forefront, just to match Astrid pound for pound!

And then, at last, the unthinkable happened. Astrid...went skidding back. It was only by a fraction of an inch, the soles of her boots slipping across the canvas, but the cameras had caught it - proof that Nashi had been able to move the champion herself. That was enough to make the whole arena light up with a cheer, knowing what it meant - that Nashi could stand up to the best around!

Astrid heard that cheer, too - and she, too, knew what it meant. She looked back at Nashi, and the hardened expression on her face, for just a moment, turned to a smirk. "You hear that?" she whispered softly. "You've done good, kid."

But that wasn't going to be it for Astrid. Just then, she suddenly let go of Nashi, lunging in closer to instead throw her arms around her waist! Bending at the knees and pushing up from the mat, the Norsewoman would attempt to swing Nashi straight over her shoulders, going for a German suplex!

Nashi knew that the odds where astronomically against her! Nashi was a pop idol and for to be the one to start a grapple between her and the heavyweight champion felt like the ultimate suicide move in wrestling! However it didn’t phase her…. Nashi knew this would be the true test of her courage and she went at it.


Soon Nashi was shocked that she could see the heavyweight champion moving back! She heard the cheer of the crowd causing a small tear to go down the pinklette’s eye. What surprised her was Astrid going from a stern look to a gentle smirk complimenting her… “thanks… Astrid….” she smiled back gently lowering her guard.


That would be a mistake as Astrid let go of the lock up and raised her sending her down with a brutal suplex”GLUH!!!” Nashi cried out as a thud came down like a bomb! Nashi was on the mat in pain but said”Astird…. If you think about pinning me…. I’ll never… forgive you….” she said faintly beginning to push herself up”because I don’t want this to end until I’m done!” she told her opponents with a grit on her face. Despite all the pain she had gone through Nashi wanted this to be a true test of her abilities!

Astrid nodded to Nashi, accepting her words of thanks. For just a few seconds, when Astrid saw Nashi's face ease into a smile, the corners of her own lips turned upward to match. But that didn't mean that Astrid was going to go easy on the idol. Quite the opposite, as a matter of fact! Now, Nashi had committed to this. She had shown Astrid she was willing to take anything she threw her way, and fight through it with the fervor of a would-be champion! If that was what Nashi was capable of...Astrid had to treat her accordingly!

Her smile soon changed to a stony look of determination, as she scooped Nashi up, slamming her head-first into the mat with a German suplex! This was one of Astrid's signature moves, and the ring rumbled against the brunt of her assault, proving she had landed it hard. Yet even still, Nashi was holding on. She had been slammed right onto her head, with all the might the Norsewoman could muster, and she was determined to keep on fighting! And Astrid wouldn't have it any other way!

"Oh, don't worry...I'm not going to let things end that easily, either!" Astrid was riding high off the excitement of seeing what Nashi could do with her back up against the wall. She wasn't entirely convinced that Nashi could escape if she pinned her now, but she still didn't want to go the easy route. To end the match now wouldn't be doing any justice to what the pink-haired girl was capable of. Now that they were no longer concerned about the timer, Astrid wanted to see what else Nashi could do - and what she could fight through!

She let go of Nashi once the two of them were on the ground. But there, Astrid rolled over, getting to her hands and knees. She reached down to wrap her arms around Nashi's waist - and, as she pushed herself back to her feet, she would pull Nashi up with her. As soon as she had risen, she would go to toss Nashi over the ropes and out of the ring!

Nashi was on the ground panting tirelessly. She knew that this wasn’t a good sign especially compared to her opponent but even with that she had to give it everything she had! Nashi felt like she could win this match! When she heard Astrid’s reply she smirked”I agree ending the match when we just started would be bad” she chuckled noticing the timer went out. This meant that she had surpass the limit but she still had match to win!

She was quickly grabbed by Astrid and lifted up”NOT AGAIN!!!” she shouted as Astrid sends her outside the ring!”OW!” she screamed before slowly pushing herself up. Nashi looked up and saw the heavyweight champ standing tall. Nashi seeing her like this gave her the impression she was going to climb the most dangerous mountain in order to conqueror it. The pink haired girl knew this would be dangerous but she was stubborn enough to fight The Ostberg heiress!

“Hey Astrid if we can’t get counted out. Why not come out here?” she put her arms out as a gesture to the space they had between the ring and the change. While Nashi was panting she knew going back into the ring would be suicide she was praying Astrid would take the dare.
