The Great Pyramids of Giza are considered a natural wonder to the world and a very fantastic site to see. Maybe in the mortal realm, but within the realm of the Anomaly, darkness lurks around every corner. Nobody knows the true inner workings of such a demon and what he allows to go on within his domain. His realm is a lot like the mortal realm, but victims of The Anomaly are at his mercy and play by his rules. What rules you might say? Any the demon dictates to be fair enough for him and his prey.

That is why he invited Selket into his domain and allowed her to be the first victim to be swallowed by his shadows. The fellow supernaturalist may have abilities herself, but she will fall before the demon. The Anomaly simply waited in the shadows inside the pyramids growling with echos of his roars throughout the halls of this sandy domain. He could be anywhere. Now, he waits for Selket to show herself.

Out of the shadows of the pyramid would come Selket. Dressed in her usual attire, with a small smirk of confidence on her face despite the situation she was walking into. After all, The Anomaly as he called himself, was certainly different than any other opponent she had faced, regardless of gender, but he certainly had guts to challenge her to a match on her literal home turf.

Sand pushing up against her feet with every step she took, Selket would look around as she fully entered the ancient site, darkness enveloping her once more as she followed the growls and roars of her opponent deeper inside. "Well, you're making no effort to be stealthy now are you?" The dark skinned beauty would say aloud, despite not being able to see the man or demon, whatever he was, she was fairly confident he would know what she was saying.

[Pegasus]

The Anomaly’s red eyes would glow in the darkness shifting from alley to alley inside the dark pyramid following different shots of Selket walking in the sand. This monster made this realm based on the homeland of his victims and wanted them to feel a false sense of security. Selket prided herself on being a servant to the ancient ones of Egypt and roams the land of sands looking for a perfect goddess to serve. Her smoke and mirror tricks might fool her normal opponents, but now she has to battle a foe on equal ground to her. A dark glove appeared out of a hallway and dark growls sounded near.

The Anomaly came out in his green trench coat and stood on the sand crunching beneath his feet. He unleashed a roar that echoed throughout the corridors of the pyramid and stood in front of Selket towering over her. The demon growled lowly distracting the priestess for the meantime as Jonathan snuck up on Selket quietly shifting his feet in the sand. He throws a chop to her head in order to ambush her and start the match!

“Welcome to the realm of The Anomaly, Selket! Consider that your wake-up call! You have to be on your toes against me and him,” Jonathan declared.

[Bare]

Selket would continue to walk around the catacomb of the pyramid, looking around every minute or two, trying to keep a sense of spatial awareness about her, knowing that if she allowed herself to get bored or distracted than she would almost immediately be ambushed. After all it was what she would do. Speaking of distractions though... an monstrous image would soon appear before her, ruffling the sand and making a loud bellow.... yet not attacking when it had the chance. Almost as if it was...

'Just a distraction.' Selket thought to herself, hearing the slight sound of sand shifting behind her and immediately turned, seeing Jonathan swing an arm down towards her! On instinct Selket would move to the side slightly, allowing the chop to connect with her shoulder which admittedly made the woman wince, but not before smirking up at the man. "A lesson to you then... I'm the master at sleigh of hand... so don't think I won't recognize one!" She hissed as she reached up to grab his arm that had chopped her. As she did so Selket would bring her leg up, trying to knee Jonathan in the gut as revenge!

Jonathan seemed to get the drop on Selket for the most part, but the priestess came back with her own attack. Grabbing his chopping arm, Selket launched a knee into his gut and made Jonathan spit out! Jonathan was launched into the stone wall and went down on his hands and knees swiping sand away from him. That gave him an idea for a counter attack. Knowing Selket, monologuing and boasting is her go-to for when she is leading so it must be her greatest downfall. Jonathan would stay on the defensive and let Selket have her words of triumph.

However, when the priestess would get closer, Jonathan would take a swipe at the sand beneath them launching a wave up at Selket’s face hoping to blind her. Jonathan then saw a scared sarcophagus and saw a spear in one hand. Jonathan quickly went for the spear hoping to turn his advantage up a notch! He had no intention of using it, but as a means of defense. Maybe Jonathan could choke or hit Selket with it if she came close.

Jonathon had gotten the drop on Selket, well mostly. Selket was the master of sleight of hands and misdirection, so she was able to recognize when one was used on her and acted accordingly. Smirking smugly at seeing the sight of Steel on his hands and knees before her the dark skinned woman would smirk cockily as she would approach the downed man.

"Well you were so eager to start this match, yet you're on you're knees already. Either you're that weak or you know you're place already." Selket said cockily, reaching up to press her foot against Steel's head, but she was met with a face full of sand!

"Gah!" She gasped out from the move and stumbling backwards, rubbing the sand from her eyes before looking up with glaring, red and watery eyes to see her opponent with a spear in hand. "You will pay..." She hissed before a cloud of smoke erupted at her feet and once it was cleared... she would be gone, regrouping and preparing to strike at Jonathon when his guard was lowered!

It seems this would be a fair contest for both as no matter what the other threw at their opponent, they had an equal chance of balancing the scales in their favor. Jonathan held the spear firmly, but Selket decided to change plans on him. Smoke started gathering at her feet and working its way up to cover Selket in a whispy tornado. Jonathan stabbed the tornado and hopefully would get some sort of painful response back, but he heard nothing. Jonathan used his free hand to swat away the smoke and grimaced seeing Selket disappear before his eyes. The priestess seemed to be retreating to a more favorable position for herself.

“Run away as fast as you can, Selket. I’m not your average opponent,” Jonathan muttered to himself running down a darkened hallway.

Torches lit his way into an open room that looked to be a worshipping temple for the ancient gods. Two male statues were on immediate display outstretching their hands as if to say their prayers to their gods while a female goddess held a stone pitcher that poured fresh water down into a fountain below her. Rusted and broken chains scattered on the clobberstone floor as Jonathan walked into the center of the room. He looked around keeping his weapon handy as Selket could be anywhere, but knowing the circumstances, she wouldn’t be too far away.

Selket was a clever and vicious opponent. Someone who acted when she had the best opportunity possible to strike. Otherwise she wouldn't even attempt to fully commit to an attack pattern yet. So upon escaping from Jonathan's line of sight, she would then follow him from within the shadows, waiting for her perfect opportunity to strike, and the moment he walked into this chamber... She knew this was her moment.

Quietly picking up one of the chains had lay in the sand she would lift it up and begin swinging it around to build up momentum. If she was able to do so successfully without Jonathan nothing she would attempt to throw it forward in an effort to have the chain wrap around his neck before pulling back to take him off his feet and choke the man with the rusted metal!

[Pegasus]

Jonathan kept a watchful eye around the chamber knowing Selket could be watching him at this very moment. It didn’t occur to him that the priestess blended within the darkness and managed to get the drop on him with a rusted chain choking his throat! Jonathan dropped the spear and went to his knees feeling the tightness of the metal making him feel his airwaves cut off. However, Lyra would appear from a hallway behind Selket with a spear of her own. Seeing the action from behind her cloak hood, she ran up in order to return the favor and choke Selket with the spear! Jonathan would try slipping out if the grip on his neck was loosened.

[Bare]

Selket would smirk sinisterly as she choked Jonathan with the metal chain she pocketed off the stature, knowing that from this distance Jonathan would be helpless as she choked the life from him. However she didn't anticipate the man using his little students to aid him and before long Selket would feel something around her neck, choking her out!

"Ngh!" She groaned out, her grip on the chain falling as she reached up to hold onto the spear around her. 'Little bitch.' She thought to herself before leaning forward, pulling Lyra on top of her back, if successful Selket would take a few steps forward for momentum before holding onto Lyra's wrists to pull and send the woman on her back flying forward with a throw, hopefully right on top of Jonathan!
