Fitness, Fighting, & Friendship: Akari & Honie

Akari smiled, enjoying the admiration and cheers from her new friend. Praise from the fans felt nice, but praise from a close friend or family member felt millions of times more touching and heartwarming. Not to mention, Honie was pretty damn inspiring given her physique and overall attitude. The way that things just bounced off of her, Akari would've LOVED to have her level of confidence a few years ago when she had gone through a darker period of her life. Honie was akin to pure Teflon, nothing seemed to ever bother her. That charisma and bombastic toughness that she radiated felt infectious...Akari felt less inhibited by her nerves and anxiety by just being around her. Now, that wasn't to say that she felt nervous often but rather that being around Honie just made her feel more confident than usual. As she observed Honie's form, she got a dumbbell of her own and tried to mimic her, pulling it off pretty well, struggling a bit at the start but pulling it together.

"Whew-!!! That's incredible...I've done my fair share before but this pose has me sweating after just one!!! You do this a ton each workout? Impressive, Hon~!!"

Honie smiled, as Akari followed the big bee's example. The turtle got her own barbell, and after shaking off some initial struggles, the reptile girl got the hand of it! Akari started to sweat pretty soon, but Honie was preforming multiple reps with seemingly little issue. This is something Akari took a note of, and complimented Honie over! "Indeed I do! Thank ya kindly!" Honie responded, before encouraging Akari to continue. "Keep on going, girl. You should feel the burn in your hamstrings and glutes especially. Got keep myself extra buzzing thicc for all the opponents I smother, whether they like it or not. Teehee."

After the sassy Beatrice was done with her reps, the heavyweight put the....well heavy weight down, before addressing her newest friend again. "So that's one of the ways I get my lower body fired up! Why don't you take the lead in the next exercise? What's a type of workout you usual do, when you find yourself at the gym? Buzz?'

Akari continued to do her best to keep pace with the heavy-lifting, heavyweight Honie Bea but it sure wasn't easy for her. Every second that passed, Akari got to see a further glimpse of just how strong and tough Bea really was. It was impressive that the woman was so incredibly capable. Her level of intensity drove Akari to push further, press harder, dig deeper, and excel past her own limits in order to match Honie's. THIS is what a training partner should be, someone who elevated others to do better than their best, Akari could feel her heart pumping blood through all of her veins to all parts of her body, feeling this heightened sense of strain as her muscles were torn apart and rebuilt in a stronger form. She continued to do rep after rep, not stopping until she did the same amount as Honie did with her current weight set.

"I can...ngh-...Tell what...gh-...mean. The burn actually feels...pretty great." Akari said in short bursts, each word punctuated by another grunt as she completed another lift. Once she and Honie were finally done, she took a load off and let her body rest for a moment, Honie's extroverted and sociable personality sparking up yet another conversion. Just like always, Akari was happily paying attention and joining in the spirited discussion as a good friend would, offering the bee-themed heroine some insight into her own training regimen.

"Well, for aerobics and flexibility, as well as general coordination and balance, I focus on dancing. For the past couple of years, I've picked up breakdancing as a hobby. It fits with my whole 'DJ' aesthetic, I don't just make my own music, I can groove to it too~" She said. "I could show you some of my moves if you're interested. Maybe I can even teach you one of the basic beginner moves, I'm sure you could do a kick-up or a basic helicopter~"

Even if it was with a lighter weight load, Honie was proud of her new friend for doing as many reps as her. That in itself was certainly no easy feat. But after they were done, Ms. Bea was curious about what Akari usually did at the gym. So she would allow her middleweight turtle friend to take the lead!

"Dancing?" Honie puzzled, a tad surprised. Dancing wasn't the first thing most people thought of, when it came to workouts at the gym. But as Akari began to further explain, Honie would in turn begin to understand! "Oh! Aerobics and flexibility! That makes sense! I bet ya can teach me a thing or two about that. Maybe it'll help my legs stretch better to capture my opponent's faces and wedge them between my glutes. Haha."

Honie gave Akari a teasing hip bump, the turtle-girl likely now used to the bee's commonly rough but sweet displays of affection. "Speaking of glutes, you did a great job on those deadlifts girl! With consistency, peak booty gains are coming your way. Not that your cheeks aren't already plump of course!" Beatrice would then direct Akari to a nearby mat, one that looked appropriate for dancing on. "I'd love for you to show me you're cool, buzzing moves! I don't know what a helicopter or kick-up is, but I'd love to learn Coach Akari!"

The Sea Turtle chuckles at the Bee's joking statement of capturing her opponent's face between her legs...although, knowing Honie there was likely some truth to that statement, but Akari couldn't help but laugh at it a little. She stretched and got herself nice and limber, decompressing after the weightlifting segment of their workout and preparing to show Honie just how in-depth breakdancing could be.

Akari, now unfazed by Honie's hip bumps, returned the favor back, colliding her hips with Honie's at the same time once she spotted that the big woman was about to sway toward her. It caught her off guard before but now she was accustomed to the busty, bombastic bombshell bee's habits, and she was happily welcoming of it too. "Well, I'm glad you're eager to learn~...it's a little difficult starting off but given your frame and build, you'll at least have no trouble in keeping yourself upright when. Some of this stuff requires good upper-body strength and a well-built core as well. As I said, you'll have no trouble with that~" Akari said.

"Now, let me show you how it's done~...a little beginner's set. A lot of professional b-boys and b-girls open up with a little flair to capture the crowd's attention before they move on to the more complicated and intricate performances. It's not just power moves and flips and spins, it comes down to footwork and having control over your body. Now stand back....and watch!!" She said, busting out into an opening set, starting off with a few back-and-forth movements to get her rhythm going before she starts twirling and spinning around like a toy spinning top, fluidly moving along the ground between skillful transitions.

Honie watched with eager anticipation, seeing her turtle friend stretch and prepare to take the lead. She chuckled, after Akari returned the heroine's hip bump in kind, before she began to explain what breakdancing was all about. Though Honie was new to this, Akari assured her that having good upper body strength and a strong core would be a big help. "Check and check!" Honie said confidently, flexing her rock-hard abs as well as her beefy biceps.

Akari then went on to physically show Honie how to breakdance, through an excellent example! The heroine watched as her friend warmed up by dancing on her feet, before going right down to the mat. Once there, Akari went into a series of spins and skillful breakdancing moves, moving along like a fluid top! "Oooooooo! Nice! You're amazing, Akari!" Honie complimented, her eyes glistening with awe and excitement. "Let me try it out!"

The Heroine of the Beehive did the first part just fine! She was a pretty good dancer on her feet, but going to the mat was where the challenge would kick in. Thankfully, Honie had an excellent instructor! She followed the more simple moves Akari had showed her relatively well. Honie's strong arms and core allowed her to keep her legs up and moving with relative ease! After a bit, it would be clear Honie was mostly just swinging her legs around, but it was a start! "Buzz! Buzz! Buzz-Whoa!" The bee exclaimed, when eventually her form broke. She was tried to transition into something a bit more complimented, which just caused her to fall onto her side. "Haha. How was that for my first time?" Honie chuckled, pushing herself back up.

Akari spectated as Honie tried to perform some similar moves that Akari did just then. Akari was far more experienced and her body was built for the light, swinging motions. Honie wasn't COMPLETELY messing up, in fact for a beginner it wasn't half bad, at least not to Akari's standards. She watched along and cheered her friend as she attempted a few more moves, botching the last one and falling onto her side. Akari clapped gleefully and congratulated her. Honie had the guts to at least try it, not many people she knew would do something that would put themselves 'out there' and potentially lead to public embarrassment. However, Honie had no filter and was as bold of a bee as they came.

"Not bad, not bad..." Akari said while smiling, trying to comfort her friend after a pretty rough fumble, but falling down over and over was a normal step in learning how to breakdance. You mess up a move, fall, get back up, and try it again until you get it right. Practice makes perfect and all that jazz-

"Come on, lemme give you a hand." She said, helping her friend back up. "So that was breakdancing...what do you think?"

Even though Honie eventually messed up during her breakdancing, she had fun and actually put up a decent first-time showing. Akari seemed to appreciate this, clapping and congratulating her bee friend. This caused Honie to grin from ear to ear, Akari's encouraging words vaporizing any embarrassment the heroine had! The bee accepted the turtle's hand, getting back up on her feet after the pervious stumble. "Breakdancing seems pretty cool!" Honie buzzed. "While I don't think my heavyweight frame is built for all the advantaged stuff, I'd still try breakdancing again! My arms and abs were certainly holding their own at least! And it's a good deal of fun! I certainly see why you love it so much!"

Honie gave her now used-to-it friend a playful yet firm punch in the shoulder, before continuing. "Okie dokie! So I've shown you some of my heavy lifting, and you've shown me some of your breakdancing. I'd say we're pretty warmed up now. If you want, we can get to sparing now. Unless you have anything else you'd like to do beforehand? Buzz?" Honie asked. There were of course even more things to do at the gym, but Beatrice wanted to see if her buddy was ready to start brawling now.

After a bit of chatting, Honie sprang an idea that Akari was absolutely eager for. "Ooo, you just read my mind, Bee~" Akari responded. "I'd say we're all good to continue!! I'm warmed up and ready to bring the hurt, that is...if you're up to handle it~" She said playfully, smiling with confidence as she delivered a strong hip bump to Honie, it appears someone's been taking notes on how to pull off a good bump because the Sea Turtle packed some 'oomph' into the impact of this one. Afterward, she would walk alongside the bee-themed wrestler and farm woman, spotting a free practice ring not too far away that they could borrow for their little one-on-one session.

Honie grinned, after Akari accepted her offer to spar. Apparently, the turtle was thinking the same thing as well. It was about time these two wresters showed each other a taste of what they could really do, even if the setting was less competitive than LAW Arena. Sounds fantas-Ooof!" Honie started, before being caught off guard by Akari's hip bump. It was the first time the turtle had hip bumped Honie, without the bee indicating the gesture first. And Akari opted to follow the bee's playful roughness, making Honie stagger just a tad! "Haha! Guess you take after me. But as I was saying, sounds fantastic!"

The two gals walked together and soon found a practice ring. And once there, Honie would leap from the bottom floor, clean over the top ropes, and right into the ring! "That's my signature ring entrance!" Honie proudly buzzed, looking back at Akari. "Get the buzz in here, buddy! It's time to get started!"
