"Diamond" Deanna Duncan vs. "Wonder" Sakura Ikari

Deanna was busy trying to soothe her injured chest when she was suddenly shoved back onto her back with Sakura atop her. She heard her opponent trash talking her and quirked a brow as the referee went down for the count.

"ONE!"

The Diamond shoved Ikari off of her, face crinkling in annoyance. "Noooope... Not happening. No way. I've got a lot more left in the tank. You need to do a lot more to wear me down," said Deanna, rolling over onto her front and starting to pull herself back up to her feet, still trying to get over that pain in her chest still. She did, however, at least throw a European Uppercut Sakura's way to try and keep her from coming at her immediately.

Sakura did her best to maintain the pinning hold, but after a disappointing count of one Deanna gathered her strength and kicked out. “Of course, you went for a pin too early in the match, you dummy!”, Sakura thought to herself, losing some of her newly found confidence. “No, stay focused! You still have the upper hand!”

Resolved to keep going with her attack, Wonder Sakura got up from the mat and looked at Deanna. The white-haired was still getting her strength back so that was a situation the debutant could capitalize. “Here I go!” With a rushing move, Sakura went for a charge. Her aim was to get Deanna with a high boot as she was recovering, but there was something Sakura didn’t account for, and that was Deanna throwing an European uppercut as she was getting up. “Uaagh!” The hit got Sakura directly on the jaw, stopping her on her tracks as she whimpered and covered her face with her hands while she turned her back on Deanna in a move that was out of a complete rookie!

Deanna Duncan had fired her European Uppercut and smashed Sakura hard in the face! Looking relieved, the Diamond would then smile, standing up before noticing her foe was already turned away.

"There you went," said Deanna, quipping as she closed the gap between them. The platinum-haired girl would then grab hold of both of Sakura's arms, hooking them behind her. "And here you actually go. It's gonna smart," added Deanna Duncan.

Then, Duncan would grunt as she heaved Ikari up and over her with a Tiger Suplex, slamming Sakura to the mat before sitting up, smiling cheerfully after an effective maneuver!

To put it plainly, being hit by an uppercut wasn’t a pleasant experience. Sakura was in quite the distress as her chin was impacted and the thought of the pain freezed her in place. From that position Deanna found some new drive. It wasn’t as if the white-haired needed more fuel since she was the energetic type, but now she was out to capitalize from the current situation as Sakura’s vision was blocked by her own hands.

To take more advantage from how defenseless Sakura was, Deanna moved with quick wit and planification. She wrapped her arms around Sakura’s and went for a tiger suplex. “AACK!” The impact was painful and the damage was piling up on Sakura, who was now feeling a little sore and winded up. Unable to get up, she would writhe in Deanna’s grasp trying to be free, but her efforts wouldn’t be that much.

The Tiger Suplex landed perfectly and Deanna Duncan was feeling the confidence surging in her. The crowd cheered her on as she pushed to her feet and clapped her hands together. "Oh, we're just getting started baby! I mean--in a technical sense. We've been started, but we've also really only gotten to the point where I'm really going to kick your ass," explained the Diamond as she swung back towards Sakura.

Deanna would then grab hold of her opponent and pull her to her feet, then hold onto her as she spun them both around twice before shooting Ikari off towards one of the corners! Watching Sakura for a moment, Deanna would let out a cry and run right towards her opponent before throwing a running boot directly towards her head in a maneuver she calls Point of the Diamond, wanting to lay a huge, heavy strike directly to her foe's skull to really keep up her momentum!

If there was something Sakura was jealous about Deanna it was the woman’s air of confidence. The white-haired was so cool-looking with an aura of strength that gave her the looks of a true winner, and crowd seemed to love her. Even Sakura had to admit that it was that the kind of wrestler ideal she wanted to achieve some day, but for now she was falling short.

It wasn’t only Deanna’s style what Sakura was jealous about, but her ability to recover from a bad situation and regain her footing in the match. Sakura was finding that really difficult and now that she was again on the losing side she really needed to turn the tables. When Deanna started her run at Sakura, the debutant knew it was now or never. “Do something, dummy!”

It happened more out of instinct and luck than actual planning, but Sakura seamlessly duck and moved forwards, evading the boot at her face by going low and ending up behind Deanna’s back. Despite evading taking her by surprise, Sakura reacted quickly and took advantage of her position with a sudden suplex that allowed her not only to do some damage on her recovering rival but to pin her!

Deanna's boot flew high towards Sakura's face as she went into the corner... and then she hit nothing and only proceeded to hyperextend her leg over the top rope. "Ah... Ow ow!" cried out the Diamond, slowly dislodging her leg from over the top of the turnbuckle as she backed up, wincing from the pain of it. She knew her leg would be bothering her for the rest of the match.

But then, she felt herself being grabbed. Letting out a quick yelp, Duncan tried to fight herself away from Ikari, but then she was lifted up... and then slammed right back down in a suplex! Deanna hit the mat hard, her whole body shooting out with a yell as she landed. And then, before Deanna could even attempt to get up, Sakura was already on top of her!

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Deanna shot her shoulder up, wincing as she got away from being pinned, keeping herself in this match. Her normally running mouth seemed to have ceased, at least for now, as she was just trying to recover right now.

“Come on, come oooooon...” Sakura couldn’t believe that she almost had the match on her pocket, but against her hopes and with a sudden jerking move, Deanna broke the pin just after the two count. The always verbose white-haired now remained silent as she tried to regain her breath, and in some way that was due to Sakura’s doings and a reason for her to be proud. But if she wanted to secure the match the debutant couldn’t stop and think about all these things and instead she had to go and capitalise from her situation.

“Come on, we are not done yet!” Without further ado, Sakura got a hold on Deanna’s hand, grabbing and dragging the woman back on her feet before launching her against the ropes with an Irish Whip before gaining some momentum with some running so she could meet her rival with a clothesline move!

Deanna was pulled up to her feet, grunting in pain. She shook her head once and muttered, "Well... obviously not. I kicked out dummy..." She had managed to utter out those words out of her constantly running mouth that was stifled for right now. Duncan would then be sent across the ring in an Irish Whip. She ran, rebounding off the ropes and watching Sakura come directly at her.

She couldn't calculate Ikari's speed coming at her, and so a clothesline knocked Deanna down hard, sending her onto the mat before her top half lifted back up and she held her chest in pain, gritting her teeth. "Gah... ow." She kept her arm hugging her chest close, trying to cope with that pain after being sent down with such a hard move.

After some bumpy start to the match, Sakura was feeling pretty more confident now that it looked like she had regained some control on the events of the match so far. At first she was for some time on the losing end, but at the moment the debutant controlled her nervousness to achieve some good hits on Deanna, who was now reeling in pain from the succession of moves.

Looking at Deanna down on the mat, Sakura knew that she needed to do something in a powerful fashion to leave her rival unable to break the impending pin. Her first pinning maneuver wasn’t successful because the move that preceded it wasn’t that great, but that was going to change. With the rush of adrenaline still pumping in her veins, Sakura would rouse the crowd before starting climbing the turnbuckle. When she was about to reach the third rope some vertigo and her inexperience took the debutant, so instead of going all out she settled for a move coming from the middle rope. With her nervousness showing more than she would have liked to, Sakura took flight to try and land on top of her rival with a simple but surely high impact body splash.
