Lyra Vs. JJ: Something To Prove (Apex Qualifier)

JJ saw Lyra crawling and then trying to hide underneath the ring? "What the hell is this? If you wrestle get your ass in the fight! Stop running like a scared little bitch. Is this some sort of suburban white girl thing?" JJ asked as she rolled down underneath the bottom rope to land outside the ring, trying to pull Lyra's ankles to get her back out from underneath the ring.

[Pegasus]

Lyra only escaped under the ring in order to drag JJ out knowing this wouldn’t sit well with her. Lyra waited for JJ to get out as the cocky girl grabbed at her ankles almost fully dragging her out. However, Lyra used her better foot to kick at JJ’s grip and get her to let go. If successful, Lyra would ram her shoulder in JJ’s gut backing her into the guardrail. The next thing she focused on would be ramming JJ’s back into the guardrail really hard!

JJ fell into the trap and took a hard shot to the abdomen, doubling over while Lyra scrambled back up to her feet. JJ was driving back into the barricade, slumping and leaning as she crashed hard, with follow up shoulder thrusts by Lyra really hammering her! JJ tried to shove Lyra away so she could recover a bit, still slumped against the barricade.

Lyra’s plan worked to perfection as she then went right back into the ring scrambling to a corner. She then had a risky idea in mind, but with JJ reeling, it was no better time than now to implement it. Lyra would quickly run the ropes and fake a Suicide Dive instead going on the apron, because she knew JJ would just move out of the way for her initial move. If JJ thought she went for a Suicide Dive, Lyra would transition to jumping on the middle rope and go for a Springboard Crossbody!

JJ saw Lyra coming and grunted as she ran out of the way knowing she didn't want to be on the wrong end of a suicide dive! JJ moved out of the way but made the critical mistake of not watching her opponent otherwise she could have easily moved out of the way again for what came next. However because JJ didn't keep her focus she was smashed by Lyra as she sprang off the ropes and crashed painfully into JJ sending her down hard to the ground leaving JJ reeling!

Lyra collided with JJ sending both women to the floor as the referee kept up the count. Lyra broke her fall on JJ and her left leg only suffered minor damage as the fortune teller was able to climb back to her feet falling into the apron for balance. Lyra would kick with her right leg down on JJ to keep her down and heard “6!” as the referee neared the ten count. Lyra rolled back into the ring and hopefully could win this contest on a count out!

JJ was down and hurting as Lyra ran back to the ring. She was trying to win a qualifier with a count out? JJ shook her head and rolled over, groaning in pain.

"G-get back here...." JJ muttered. JJ wasn't going to lose like this. No way. Even without a gimpy leg, which JJ assumed wasn't too gimpy if she was running, climbing and jumping all over the place JJ felt like she was a better wrestler than this whispy little lady. JJ heard the count reach eight when she was crawling towards the ring, stumbling and staggering as she stood up and climbed up onto the apron to roll back inside the ring keeping the match going.

[Pegasus]

“9!” The ref cried before JJ got back in at the last possible moment and it made Lyra stir a bit into a solemn look.

She had hoped JJ would be wounded enough to stay out there, but JJ wanted to continue this match and now, she had to contend with putting more weight on her leg. Lyra walked over getting JJ up looking to press her back against the ropes before whipping her off to the other set. When JJ rebounded, Lyra would try for a Discus Lariat!

JJ was pulled up and whipped across the ring. JJ bounced off the ropes picking up speed as she saw Lyra setting up for something. "All right, you want to fight huh?" JJ shouted as she instead jumped up and aimed a dropkick right at Lyra's chest! She was pissed that Lyra tried to run, then didn't cheat but her tactics on the outside seemed sneaky. JJ wanted a wrestler not some desperate trickster! She was intent on taking the fight to Lyra now, knowing she couldn't afford a loss after her last two matches....

Lyra tried for a Discus Lariat turning around fast, but it proved to be faulty as JJ had already scouted the fortune teller. JJ hit a Dropkick into the chest of Lyra which sent the girl straight to the canvas as she held her chest. Lyra coughed violently and tried getting on her hands and knees to keep JJ from pinning her down.
