"Correct. Very good, my pupil." Antonia responded, complimenting the Young Lion from what he picked up about the key to any good counter! "I also noticed your body showed more resistance, when I punched you for the second time. I take it you braced your abdominals for the impact? It seems you're learning at an exceptional rate, given your trainer is as remarkable as I."
"Oh. And I'll be sure to have Honie make an appearance in your next training session. What you just described is indeed her strategy. In her case, getting slammed rear-first by 178 lbs, and all from an exceptional height....It's effective." Antonia said, blushing a tad and trialing her eyes off to the side. She definitely had some personal experience of being on the end of Honie's high-flying moves, when the two Battle Bugs trained and spared.
"Now then. Since you have made progress in this area, we shall proceed to the next part of your training. You desired to learn how to block and dodge better, but do you know when it's best to choose one option or the other? Knowing when it's best to block an attack or avoid it entirely, can mean the difference between countering it successfully or not. And that in turn, can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Allow me to present a physical example...."
Suddenly, Antonia would race towards Oscar, and attempt to strike him right in the face, using a jumping roundhouse kick! If Oscar tried to block it, the powerful blow would still likely send the man staggering in pain and potentially falling back. But if Oscar dodged it, he could avoid this entirely. However, the general was upping the intensity again. Aside from the girl's subtle implication, the only "warning" the Young Lion would get was Armie yelling: "HIII-YAAA!"

Re: Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer
Oscar beamed at Antonia's praise and nodded his head to her question about his abs tightening.
"Thank you, General Aunt! Happy to hear that"
The young lion would listen along about the idea of Honie appearing for the next session, putting a grin on his face.
"Alright! I'm looking forward to it. I'll be extra sure to bring my notebook along- see if she'd like to autograph it"
However, while Oscar listened to Antonia on knowing when to dodge, block, and counter, it was time for another physical example. This time though- Oscar was more aware of Antonia's intense methods and never really put his guard down. Knowing how much it hurt to block Antonia's Twister kick, Oscar would show how the ant girl's training helped and would quickly duck to avoid the blow!
"HA! Not falling for that twice!"
Despite the grin, Oscar didn't keep his guard down and waited to see what Antonia did next!

Re: Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer
As the teacher, Antonia had been doing a lot of talking. But now it was time for things to get physical and intense again. With little warning, the army ant came straight at Oscar, aiming a jumping roundhouse kick at his mug. But to her pleasant surprise, this time, the Barbarian Prince managed to dodged the attack, ducking right under it.
"Good. good. You're definitely improving. It was better to avoid that kick." Antonia said. "What about this strike?!" The general would throw another punch at Oscar's body, this time aimed right at his liver. Because of the man's wide frame, as well as the strike's quickness, Oscar wouldn't be able to dodge it in this case. Antonia knew this, and this next test was to see if Oscar could successfully block her punch instead. Whatever the Young Lion did, his internal organs were on the line, as this intense training continued!

Re: Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer
Oscar was happy to hear praise from Antonia, but he wouldn't let that distract him as the general continued her test. It sort of helped that Antonia was in her own way saying what she was going to do before attacking Oscar, leaving it up to him how to respond. At least, that's what he believed she was doing. In any case, the young lion would be quick to lower his arm, tighten the muscles in them, and do his best to block the incoming liver punch!

Re: Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer
Antonia was indeed throwing little verbal hints about her incoming attacks, making it a tad easier for Oscar to respond. The Young Lion used his muscular arm to block the liver punch. Though the blonde's punch would still likely sting the limb, the block would be successful. But Antonia was far from done yet. "Let's kick it up a notch." She said, no pun intended, and not giving a more specific hint than that. Antonia would snap her knee up to send a crane kick at Oscar's face, one he needed to dodge. Then she'd send a punch towards Oscar's solar plexus, one he needed to block. And so on. The strikes towards his face and body would come in fast, but Antonia was training Oscar by keeping the pattern going, trying to get him more comfortable with his responses.

Re: Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer
Oscar winced at the sting from Antonia's punch, noting to himself that he was going to have to work on taking blows better if someone with technique like Antonia could still somewhat hurt him even if he blocked her blows. Keeping his guard up helped Oscar too, as he BARELY managed to avoid the crane kick- the general's boot grazing the tip of his nose as he snapped his head backward to avoid the blow before adjusting his arms to shield his solar plexus from another stinging punch from the general. If it hit with the same force as he attempted liver punch before- then Oscar would again wince as his arm stung from the blow. While Oscar seemed to be doing ok, he was back peddling a bit to try and get some breathing room. More distance from Antonia would mean more time for the young lion to register and react to her blows as they came his way as he continued to try to block and dodge whatever the general ant would throw at him!

Re: Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer
Antonia sent strike after strike after strike at Oscar, seeing if her trainee could dodge and block each and every one. Though it was cutting it a bit close, the Young Lion seemed to be doing fairly well, blocking the ant's punches to his body and dodging her kicks to his face. Not wanting Oscar to become accustomed to this pattern though, Antonia would switch it up. Sometimes she'd send multiple body punches Oscar's way, before going for a face kick. Sometimes she'd switch the targeting, attempting to punch Oscar's face and kick his body. And so on. Oscar was at least wise to try a keep a decent amount of space between them, giving him more time to resister what Antonia would go for. But as the unpredictability increased, they would get closer to the ropes, and Antonia would go for a very special strike. "KiA-YAA!" She cried, turning her body to aim a jumping hip attack right at Oscar's mug! As her plump, strong rump came in fast to deliver the surprise strike, Antonia wondered how her pupil would react, if he could react in time at all!

Re: Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer
Oscar would be caught off by the sudden change in pattern, taking a few body shots with some grunts. Although it looked like it hurt, the young lion didn't seem so keen on slowing down as he quickly adjusted to Antonia's new patterns as best as possible. It wasn't perfect as he would end up blocking more than dodging at some parts, but as far as he was concerned it was better than taking any more direct hits. Oscar would be pushing back to the ring post by Antonia's relentless barrage before the Ant General suddenly executed a hip attack- something Oscar had never, EVER dealt with before! The attack caught him by surprise as Antonia's powerful rear nailed Oscar in the face and knocked him into the ring post- where Oscar would grab onto the top ropes to prevent himself from falling down onto the canvas! As for Oscar himself, the young man looked confused and had a faint blush on his face- questioning if that really just happened to him!

Re: Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer
Training Music
"Yes. I assure you that did indeed just transpire." Antonia said, as if she had read his mind. "Overall, a solid job. But I take it you've never been hip attacked before? Oh you're DEFINITELY going to have to spar with Honie then. Unlike most other strikes, a hip attack is more or less powered by all of a foe's bodyweight. It is also typically quite a wide strike, especially when dealing with my perfectly plump posterior. These two facts make it difficult to block or dodge a hip attack at close range. For example..."
Still relatively close to Oscar, Antonia would dart at him and turn around to ram her rear hard into his midsection. And afterwards, the general would move down on her hands and feet. Only to spring back up butt-first, and sting poor Oscar in the face again with another hip attack! Antonia was getting Oscar more used to the move, while simultaneously showing him why it was so tricky to deal with! "See what I mean?" Antonia asked. Finally letting up, she backed a way a bit to give her trainee some time to recover.

Re: Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer
Oscar let out a strained grunt as he would work on pushing himself upright- giving his attention to Antonia as she explained how hip attacks worked. When Antonia sprung towards Oscar, the young lion believed she would go for his admittedly soft face again and raised his arms- only to get hit in his stomach! A loud "OOF" shot out of Oscar’s lips from the impact; causing him to lower his arms and arch forward enough for the Ant General to spring up and smash him in the face with her rump once more!
Oscar’s head snapped upward and he lost his footing, falling back against the ring post and sliding into a seated position on the canvas- huffing and puffing as he tried to get some air back in.
"I... huff... can totally... huff... see what you mean... huff... General Aunt"
