Cheryl Williams vs Korra the Enforcer - Apex Qualifier

Cheryl knew that it was silly to get your hopes up until a match was done, and she still felt the nearfall bring her spirits up thinking about the celebration she was in for once she pinned Korra. It all stopped when she was pushed off by Korra’s power, thrown off to the side next to Korra’s feet. “Nghh..” Cheryl groaned. Her back acting up from the force she was pushed off with. “Okay…no more pre-celebrations in your brain Cheryl…” Cheryl said before she would sit up and look at Korra once more.

She didn’t think that would work twice and she might hurt herself if she went for another high flying move like that. Instead she would just have to go for something bolder and with less flying, rushing in behind Korra to pull her into a sleeperhold, wrapping her legs around her waist and holding onto her before she could get up. She wanted to stop her from getting up and knowing that she would be able to hold her down and force her to fight with little air and on one leg that she would be in trouble.

“What is happening?” Her mind was questioning what Korra had done wrong. How she had messed up like this and put Cheryl this close to finishing her off. The cheerleader should be a paste staining her clothes not this close to beating her. She had to get up and get out of the ring to refocus. She started to get up and head for the outside just when Cheryl leaped on her again, her legs around her waist and pulling her arms into a sleeper like she knew what she was doing. Neck and waist squeezed to cut her off while the Enforcer felt Chery’s weight bogging her down. Slowly she started to falter and slip back down until once again Korra dug deep. What sounded like a death rattle was the only thing that was leaving her mouth with how tight Cheryl was squeezing and it matched the nearly defeated position she was in with the life almost being sucked out of her by this final submission. “Nooo.” Korra pushed back up and grabbed one of her legs while reaching her arm up to pull her head down and rest it against her shoulder. She didn’t care how much it hurt if this bimbo could fight through the pain her back had to be going through then she would fight through this leg shit. Korra stood up and hopped in place while keeping her head close to her own on her shoulder. “Goooo dowwwnnn.” With that Korra would drop before her leg failed or the choke finished her off, taking Cheryl with her with her Enforcers backpack. If it took everything she had she would win this match. She would show Cheryl why she made a mistake thinking she could win no matter how good she proved to be.

Everything seemed perfect, she was still hurt but she had her hold and she had Korra down. She kept squeezing to make sure Korra couldn’t breathe and would try to wait things out for her to fall. The moment never came, instead she was quickly moving back up and forcing herself to her feet. “What?” Cheryl muttered, unable to think about what to do when Korra not only stood back up but grabbed her and set her up from her position on her back to one Korra wanted. Everything clicked into place just when Korra jumped and brought her down to take a stunner while her head was trapped against Korra’s shoulder.

“Ugghh!” Cheryl gasped. The weight of the drop fell on her chin and after the fact her body shot up with her head staring at the sky before she came crashing down to the mat. As she laid there all the life seemed to jump out of her. The crowd could be seen deflating when it seemed as if Cheryl had been knocked out by Korra’s last second attack, a final finisher to put Cheryl down.

“Shit! Cheryl!” Amber’s words matched her concern while Korra felt relief when she could finally exhale and inhale without interruption. Falling backwards so Korra could lay down on Cheryl and unlike her Korra could still pull her leg up when she went for a pin. “Cheryl get up!” Amber slapped the mat to stir Cheryl to move when she saw how she didn’t seem to be moving much and the referee moved to count another pin.

The lack of movement from Cheryl had to make fans uneasy, those that wanted her to beat Korra were encouraging her to show some sign of life. Sadly as much as they and Cheryl wanted her to keep fighting, that move really did put Cheryl down. Her eyes were fluttering while her mind was sluggish and weak due to the way the move rattled her. She was barely aware she had a match anymore, nothing stirred even with the ref shouting near her head.
“ONE!”
“TWO!”
Cheryl felt herself slipping away more, not getting any closer to consciousness, despite her fighting and hard work which nearly toppled Korra one mistake and act of reckless abandon had cost her. She was confident she could have won this battle and maybe if she made a different move she would have, today it simply wasn’t meant to be.

Amber could only look on sadly when Cheryl didn’t move and the 3 count went perfectly for Korra. Despite her victory Korra wasn’t any happier. She had expected this match to go more like her fight with Loretta and instead she not only got a fight but nearly lost. It didn’t match her impression of her opponent or how the match should have gone. She was surprised. And she hated it. Instead of staying in the ring to celebrate her victory she would slowly roll out of the ring and limp towards the outside. Anyone wondering what she was doing got an answer quickly when she grabbed a chair and pulled it out before she looked back at Cheryl. Amber saw all she needed to see and quickly leaped into the ring and ran to where Cheryl was. “You get in this ring with that chair and you’ll be kissing it!” Amber didn’t care if she got in trouble. The match was over and she was not going to let Korra touch Cheryl a second longer. Korra just smiled at the other bimbo defending her friend. “If you're still in that ring it’ll be crushing your skull and her back. You think you scare me? Even on one leg I’d end you blondie.” Korra made her threats while taking a few steps towards the ring to see what Amber would do. A game of chicken to see if Amber was really going to protect Cheryl or if she would run the minute she had to face her.

Cheryl was starting to wake up, but nothing could have made her react fast enough to what Korra was doing while her mind was processing the loss. If Amber didn’t get in the way Cheryl wouldn’t have been able to fend Korra off. She didn’t see Korra leave but when she saw Amber standing over her and Korra holding a chair she put together just how bad things would have been for her if she was by herself. She wanted to reach out and give Amber a pat on the leg to assure her she was okay, but she was still groggy and weak. Her focus had to be on getting up before she did anything else.

Thankfully for her and Amber they didn’t have to deal with Korra by themselves, from the entrance ramp someone came running in behind Korra and ran straight for her. Amy ran down the ramp with the speed of a Lion before she bulldozed Korra from behind. “Having trouble my Wildcard partner? Why are you waiting and making threats, you're a fighter right? So get in there and fight!” Amy said. Picking Korra back up and holding her close before she would throw her into the ring without the chair or the element of surprise. Cheryl watched the whole thing unfold and looked at Amber while she was pushing back up. “Lets…get her!” Cheryl said. Despite having been knocked out a second ago Cheryl felt compelled to act by the sudden sneak attack and would aim for a kick to Korra.

Amber was watching Korra ready to fight if she entered. Nothing would make her abandon Cheryl to save her own skin this day just because a coward felt like she had lost the real fight. Korra even thinking that was misplaced, which matched the overconfidence the enforcer had shown since she had been in LAW. Another thing she underestimated was just how many people hated her enough to take advantage of moments like this to strike. She didn’t hear Amy Evans until the last second and by then a shoulder was jabbing her in the back and knocking her down with enough force to propel her forward against her will. Korra hit the padded floor to scuff up her nose and stop Korra from processing who just hit her. The voice made it clear despite Korra getting no chance to protest while she was pulled up and tossed into the ring. Amber had no idea what was happening but when she heard Cheryl getting up to strike she didn’t want to miss out. “Been waiting to smack her!” In sync with Cheryl both would kick Korra on both sides of her head. The two boots clapped her around her ears and knocked her senses into a fury. Her head was ringing and she shook in place before Korra unceremoniously dropped forward and landed on her face. The two could have left things there and it would have been fine. Amber had too much of a mean streak to let it end there. She came after Cheryl so she had to pay. “Cheryl. Big Finish!” Amber didn’t need to say more before jumping on Korra’s back to start locking in a Rocket of Saturn and waiting on Cheryl to follow it with her own submission. Korra didn’t get knocked out and when she started to be pulled into the dual submission hold everyone could tell she was wide awake. “Geenngaaaaaggh!” The Enforcer came here to hurt people like Cheryl. Now people like Cheryl were nearly breaking her in half while an entire audience watched her suffer in this miserable state.

The crowd ate things up and even Amy could only laugh watching Amber and Cheryl kick Korra in the head. “Alright! You girls have those educated feet, I like it.” Amy said before she watched them go even further and start to surround Korra for something else. “We have more than that.” Cheryl warned her before they proved it and pulled Korra into the Big Finish. Trapping all of Korra’s limbs with the Rings of Saturn and sharpshooter combo that could break anyone, even someone as tough as Korra. Her screams reverberated throughout the arena but Cheryl wouldn’t let up, and Amy loved every second of it.

“See Korra, they have some creativity when they beat someone’s ass. Beats you wanting to wreck someone with a chair which has only been done by everybody.” Amy said. She continued to taunt Korra knowing there was jack shit she was able to do about it with where she was right now. It wouldn’t have stopped her anyway, only making sure Korra couldn’t throw some insults back at her since she was too busy screaming her heart out. It was the best show she had watched all month, if only she had popcorn.

As much as everyone seemed to be loving this the staff still had to stop it before someone got hurt. The ref had to pull on Amber and Cheryl warning them to stop even if she was happy to see Korra get her ass beat. Eventually let go and Korra dropped back down to the mat, breathing heavily and looking completely defeated. “Let that be a lesson for you Korra. Don’t mess with the Pom Pom Punchers.” Amber would grab Cheryl’s arm and start to walk out with her while staying close by so she could help her if she needed it. Even after they left Korra could only move her eyes, opening it to stare at Amy. If she saw it it would tell Amy everything she coudn’t say right now. Her hate and desire for revenge to the blonde would not be sated until Amy was in a hospice. After a minute she wouldn’t be able to maintain her glare, closing it to rest and let the humiliation that followed her ‘win’ fade. Amber and Cheryl wouldn’t get out of this either. All 3 better enjoy this for however long they had.
