Lyra Heartfield vs. Helena DuBois (Apex Qualifying Match)

Lyra got back on her feet stumbling as she looked up in time to see Helena hit her with a Slingshot Dropkick taking Lyra down on her back as the fortune teller wheezed holding her chest.

Helena held her arms out and smiled as the crowd booed her success in the ring. She stomped down on Lyra a few times and sneered at her. "Know when you are outclassed! There is no way you are close to the caliber of woman that I am within the wrestling kingdom. I am the queen of this ring!" Helena shouted before kneeling down reaching for Lyra's hair to try to pound her head off the mat repeatedly!

Lyra groaned and wheezed as Helena’s kicks sunk into her stomach and the crowds boos became even louder against Helena. She didn’t give a damn. As long as Lyra was putty in her hands, she had full advantage and these fans could eat their boos. Helena then grabbed Lyra’s head smacking it across the canvas earning more cries of agony from the fortune teller, but Lyra closed her eyes receiving another vision as the universe told her to try for a counter when Helena would strike next. Everything told her the arrogant rich girl looked to whip her off the ropes next.

Helena smirked and smiled as she stood up running her hands through her hair. She bent down, yanking Lyra up by the hair. "Stupid idiot...." Helena hissed under her breath as she took hold of Lyra's arm to whip her to the ropes.

[Pegasus]

Lyra would be whipped into the ropes until she rebounded back at Helena and tried for a Leaping Clothesline. If she succeeded, hopefully Helena would go down on her back and Lyra grabbed the left leg of her opponent kicking it twice. She then tried to lock in a leg lock on Helena and wrench hard on the body part.

Helena tossed Lyra to the ropes not thinking she would be fighting back. However as Lyra ran at Helena she instead took Helena off her feet with the running clothesline! Helena hit the mat and shook her head trying to recover but that wasn't going to happen. Her leg was grabbed and kicked before the leg lock was applied sending pain jolting down the long limb of the Canadian!

"Ngh! Damn it you brat!" Helena shouted as she thrashed around trying to kick or punch at Lyra's grip any way she could knowing that she was in poor position to do much else. If this failed she would have to drag them both nearer to the ropes for her to reach out for a rope break.

Lyra felt Helena’s punching at her hold on her leg and twisted it harder to make the Canadian heel scream out in further pain. Lyra even kicked at the leg to do more damage and make it harder for Helena to counter attack. Even if Helena wasn’t going to tap out, her leg would be rendered hurt for the foreseeable future. Helena tried moving back as her second best option getting near the ropes, but Lyra broke the hold dragging Helena back to the middle and tried locking in a Figure Four Leg Lock!

Helena was near the ropes when she was close to a rope break before being dragged back to the middle of the ring and having a figure four leg lock applied! Helena arched back in pain thrashing about and letting out a loud scream. Helena shook her head and knew she had one chance to salvage this rapidly declining situation. She tried to roll the two of them over to reverse the pressure of the hold leaning Lyra as the one locked in! If successful Helena would spread her arms wide for a solid base as a guard against the same counter she had just managed to use.

Lyra kept ahold as much as she could and saw the results of her actions seeing Helena being very helpless. The Canadian attention seeker seemed to be on the defensive now and even if this wouldn’t be the end of the match, Lyra had gotten her wish that she was applying some damage to begin with. However, Helena managed to reverse their positions as Lyra screamed having to release the hold and rub at her legs.

An angry Helena stumbled up to her feet as she wanted to exact some payback on Lyra. "You want to go for the legs do you? How do you like this you miserable little brat?!" Helena shouted as she tried to grab one of Lyra's legs and kick away at her hamstring, a furious scowl etched on her face as she went to work.
