It was, for the most part, a whirlpool of nonsense, but that was the great thing about the wrestling sphere and all the talk that it generated. It had been the main topic of conversation during this episode of LAW, and if the goal of it all was to drive ratings, then it was a rousing success. This was one of their most watched episodes in a good while, with people tuning in to be the first ones to react.
But it would only work if they delivered. And they would.
Out of nowhere, the lights around the arena suddenly dropped, covering the audience in a veil of darkness. There was only one light shining now, a spotlight at the top of the ramp, shining on a single pole in the middle, as a dark theme began to play.

As the music built and built, she threw herself onto the pole and worked it with the sort of ease that only came from years of experience. Kicking her legs out, swinging around it, holding herself upside down while she did a full split. Acts of agility and insane flexibility, showing her confidence with every move. It was a routine that would’ve put most exotic dancers to shame, executed with a finesse that only an elite few in the profession could ascribe to, and as the beat dropped and the lights came on in full, its owner came strolling down the ramp with an arrogant stride and a devilish smile.

Freia Kagami was in LAW.
The crowd erupted into a mixture of cheers and boos, spilling out like a flood as she add her way down the ramp with a skip in her step, bouncing in time with the music. Some were happy to see her, always welcoming a familiar face who’d been away for a while. Others had cruder thoughts in mind -Freia was renowned for her sexually charged matches, and the idea of her in LAW opened the door for dozens of dream bouts. Others still remembered the way she had left wrestling in the first place, the infamous ‘Chisato Incident’ that had left a stain on Wrestling Angels. It hadn't been the final mail in the coffin, but it didn’t help matters, wrecking them in the public eye.
And here she was. Making her way to the ring, cocky as could be.
Freia made her way around the ring and picked up a microphone from the announcer’s table. She slid her way into the ring as the music died down and popped to her feet, just as the crowd’s noise reached a crescendo. It was so loud that she had to wait for the better part of a minute for it to die down before she spoke.
”I see that I’ve been missed.” Her words came out in a chilled, icy tone, dripping with sarcasm, light and hearty, as if there was a joke in her mind that only she knew about. ”For the two people in this building who don’t know, my name is Freia Kagami. And to all the women in the back biting their nails right now - yes, yes, your nightmares have come true. I’m in LAW, and I’m here to stay.” That sent the audience into another fit, but she pressed on this time. ”Easy, easy. I know you’ve all got questions, and we’ll get to them. But first, I need to have a talk with an old friend.”
Freia stepped forward and leaned against the ropes facing towards the ramp. ”Thunder. Ryuko.” Her words came out like a lustful moan. ”I know you’re here. I know you’re in the back. I know you’re one of the few who aren’t afraid of me.” She curled a finger at the curtain. ”Come on out. Don’t be shy. I just want to have a quick chat.”
