Finding One's Thorns I: Aoi Hoshino vs Rosie Knuckles

The 'Flower of the Galaxy', Aoi Hoshino vs Rosie Knuckles (aka Rosalina Walters)
Match Type: "Knockout."
Win by knocking the wrestler out via submission and forcing them to pass out or by inflicting enough physical damage on the other competitor's body. When a person has been properly 'downed' or incapacitated, the referee will check them for a response of some kind after some form of direct or indirect check-up. If the fighter fails to respond, they are considered to be knocked out. Additionally, if a wrestler remains outside the ring for too long, by the count of ten they will be disqualified. Furthermore, if a wrestler performs an illegal move and is caught in the act by the in-ring official, they will be disqualified.
Standard rules - DQs, Count-outs, and the knockout MUST happen within the confines of the ring, otherwise, it will be dismissed and ruled as a ring out.

As the audience murmured in anticipation, a theme song kicked on and the lights began to flicker.

Aoi walked down the ramp, looking different in her new gear...she looked angrier. It was as if the lightweight had a little more grit to her. She had a way more serious stride in her step, and when she arrived at the ring, she wasted no in getting in. Microphone in hand, she stood in the center of the ring and she spoke aloud to the audience.

"HEY!!!" She yelled. "Every single one of you out there!! For far too long have I just been seen as a pushover...I'm sick of it!! I can't put up with this garbage any longer. I'm not just some cute face to get tossed around. I'm a FIGHTER...This is the big leagues...getting here means I MADE IT...and some of you out there don't seem to get that. So I'll show you, ALL OF YOU, just who you're overlooking....and that starts here and now with this match. Knockout only...against someone who you all SUPPOSEDLY seem to like more. Every rose has its thorns and I'm here to show all of you MINE...SO GET OUT HERE ROSIE KNUCKLES!!! GET OUT HERE SO I CAN KICK YOUR ASS!!!" She said...It wasn't like her to sound this...hateful...truthfully, she despised it. She had nothing against Rosie, keen viewers could likely tell, but Rosie was seen as one of the tougher lightweights around...if ANYONE could give her win some credibility, it'd be her.

Now it was just up to Aoi to actually back up her words on a physical level...Rosie Knuckles was no slouch. Challenging her openly like this was definitely a poor call but it was the only way to drag her out here...to make matters harder on herself, it was a match type that someone like Rosie would shine in. So Aoi would just have to do her damndest to shine brighter and prove her point as she tossed the mic to the outside of the ring. She stretched and cracked her knuckles, preparing for what would be coming next...

Rosie Knuckles was backstage at LAW, not necessarily there because she was booked, but instead due to her being on standby, doing some promotional stuff. Despite being hated by half the crowd most times, at least half of them positively adored her and her style. Better for Rosie yet, she was able to do some simple interviews and buffers for the show while she hung out in her casual clothes. She had a tube top, a jacket, and black jeans on, and while she'd love to be out in the ring tonight beating the hell out of someone, she was alright with having a breather. She was currently on her phone, giving a nasty look to anyone who bothered trying to talk to her.

Eventually a stage hand approached her cautiously. "Miss, umm... Knuckles?"

With an annoyed sigh, Rosie didn't take her eyes off her phone and instead replied, "Yeah?"

"You've been called out," said the backstage worker.

Wrinkling her nose, the cute brawler looked up at her and asked, "What the hell do you mean I've been called out?"

"In the ring! Aoi Hoshino just called you out, specifically!" proclaimed the stage hand.

This just baffled Rosie even more as she looked bewildered and asked, "Who the fuck is Aoi Hoshino?"

"She's a wrestler. She's employed here--"

"And she's calling me out?" asked Knuckles, peering at the stage hand.

"Yes...?" she added.

Staring in confusion for a few more moments, Rosie would then let out an amused laugh. "You know what? Fuck it," said Knuckles as she walked towards the stage hand. "What's your name?"

"Saori?" answered the backstage worker.

Taking Saori's hand, Rosie puts the phone in her hand. "Lose this and I'll kill you. Thanks for the heads up," said Knuckles before patting the stage hand on the head and walking towards the gorilla position. She wasn't in her normal gear, but that didn't matter as much to Rosie. She was always happy to get into a fight, no matter her condition.

After about two minutes, Skulls by Halestorm hits in the arena as Rosie Knuckles steps out onto the stage, glancing out at the crowd as they had a loud, mixed reaction to her. Knuckles keeps her focus on Aoi, in particular, in the ring. She lets out an amused laugh as she walks down the ramp, shaking her head. When she got to the ring steps, she asked a nearby crew member for a microphone, and she was promptly handed it as she started up the steps and ducked through the ropes, giving a side-eye to Hoshino, she deliberately passes right by her before getting to the corner and standing on the middle ropes, holding a fist up high, another loud reaction erupting from the crowd.

Some hated Rosie for her outright cruelty and brutality towards her opponents at times, but other absolutely loved her for it. Knuckles didn't mind, so long as they kept getting loud. And Rosie would then hop out of the corner and start speaking into the mic. "So I just got told that somebody challenged me to a fight. I wasn't scheduled today, I don't have my gear, but you know what I do have? My two fists, that are about five seconds from pummeling this idiot nearly to death--and I know she's an idiot because she challenged me to a fight, are you kidding?" asked Rosie, pointing directly at Aoi as she addressed the crowd.

"You can love me, you can hate me, but what everyone here should be doing is fearing me, because it doesn't matter if I'm scheduled, not scheduled, I run into you backstage, in the parking lot, in the street, I will throw hands and knock your ass out in a heart beat, just say the word," said Knuckles, stomping right back towards Hoshino, getting in her face and keeping the crowd energized.

"I said somebody challenged me and I mean a somebody, because you are a literal somebody, whose name I already forgot on the way out here, and after you're on the ground, you'll be a somebody again. So in this short time where you have an identity by calling me out, who the hell are you?" asked the Pink-Haired Pugilist as the crowd continued to sound rowdy for her.

Then, she would force the microphone into Aoi's chest, giving her a chance to speak. However, when the challenger were to open her mouth to speak, Rosie would haul off and throw a strong right cross directly towards her face, aiming to sucker punch her immediately. Rosie wasn't going to be paid by the time she was out here today, and she was more than happy to try to make some short work of this chick.

After hearing a certain theme song blare on in the background, Aoi knew exactly what was coming ...or rather, WHO. She saw the pretty, Pink-Haired Pugilist storm the arena, taking the audience captive as their attention immediately shifted towards Rosie in a sea of cheers and jeers, already giving her more attention than most people did with Aoi. The 'Flower' could do nothing but watch as the woman wasted no time in approaching and getting a microphone in her hand...Oh yeah, she probably had words to say.

As Aoi listened to her speak, she kept a neutral, unamused look about her...Rosie's comments didn't really affect her. She knew EXACTLY what she was getting into. That was the point, whether it was stupid or not, this is something that HAD to happen. She can't expect people to take her seriously if she doesn't show some grit, passion, and backbone. She can't wait around for the opportunity to get tossed around and squeak out a win...She CAN'T keep going as the cute babyface jobber that people see her ass. Yeah, she might as well be a somebody...a faceless extra in the background...but dammit she wasn't going to let herself remain that way. SHE MADE IT ALL THE WAY HERE. FROM THE INDIES TO THE BIG STAGE. SHE'S EARNED THE RIGHT TO FIGHT AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL AND THEN SOME.

So if she needs to change her methods and get a little rough, then those are simply the shots she'll be willing to call. The microphone was shoved into her chest, the first sign of physicality in this match...It was a little shocking, it made this WHOLE thing feel a little more real. Just as she was about to respond to Rosie's promo, the next sign of physicality struck...literally.

Aoi was floored by a dirty right cross, a sucker punch before the bell had even rung. She dropped the microphone immediately and was left hanging on the ropes, slightly dazed from the shock of the impact. Soon after, she felt the REAL pain that the punch had to offer. She almost tasted blood in her mouth from her lip...Oh, HELL NO. Her eyes glared angrily at Rosie and instead of crying or being a baby about it, she got off the ropes, wiped her chin and looked at Rosie dead in her eyes.

"That all?" She asked, the referee getting into the ring and quickly calling for the bell.


DING !!!

Rosie turned around immediately after cracking Aoi in the jaw as the crowd erupted and angrily ripped off her jacket and threw it on the mat, slapping herself on the chest repeatedly and walking to the ropes as she mouthed off to the crowd, standing on the bottom rope and leaning over the top one, pointing at herself. "You don't mess with Rosie Knuckles! You don't do it!" screamed the pink-haired girl before getting off the ropes and turning back around, glaring at Aoi. For someone so cute, Knuckles had quite perfected a death glare, and seeing Aoi asking for more only encouraged the Pink-Haired Pugilist more.

This time, Knuckles didn't even respond. Now wearing just her tube top and tight jeans, Rosie sprinted directly at Aoi, going for a wicked clothesline that had enough force to send them both flying up and over the top rope, sending both girls falling unceremoniously on the outside of the ring, keeping the intensity up in this fight already!

Rosie rushed right at Aoi, that Clothesline would certainly take them both to the outside with the amount of force behind it. Aoi brought her guard up, blocking the main impact with her forearms, releasing a partial grunt before taking a small spill outside of the ring. She would roll over the ropes and fall onto the apron, but she managed to catch a break by quickly grabbing hold of the middle rope, hanging onto it, and stabilizing herself as Rosie fell outside. She would drop down soon after, giving herself a much softer landing.

Without any hesitation, she ran over and gave a Punt Kick right to Rosie's head, aiming for her cheek and jaw, but really...she was trying to hit just about anywhere. Any damage is good damage, provided it was legal. This was a good chance for her to try and whittle down Rosie.

Rosie had went in like a bull, knocking both women over the top rope. While Knuckles had landed on the mat with a loud grunt, it appeared Aoi hadn't landed nearly as harshly. However, the cute brawler wasn't about to let up quite yet and was already pushing herself back up, at least until a punt came her way, hitting her in the head and knocking her away, leaving Rosie rolling across the padded outside as she held her head with one hand.

She groaned and was already starting to push herself back up. It would take a lot more to keep Rosie Knuckles down. Especially while she was already fired up and ready to fight. This was hardly the first messy brawl she was in, and it for sure wouldn't be her last. But it did seem to stun her enough to where she couldn't get right back at Hoshino.

Aoi's kick landed perfectly on Rosie's head, knocking her over and sending her tumbling around. It made her feel powerful, she felt strong, she felt GOOD...strangely enough, this act of violence started to give her a similar feeling to Rosie's as she smirked. She lifted the girl up by her hair, dragging her over and clocking her in the cheek with a left hook and then following it up with a right uppercut, wanting to keep her stunned for as long as possible. As long as she can maintain control and beat the snot out of Rosie, she'd have this in the bag.

Meanwhile, now that both fighters had been outside for long enough, the referee began to demand that they re-enter the ring as the ring-out count began.


"ONE!!!"

Rosie Knuckles was pulled up by her hair, not usually in the adorable pig tails she usually had it in. She growled out in pain from it before being clocked in the face once. The uppercut came after, but Aoi had made the mistake of trying to get into a fist fight with an expert brawler like Knuckles.

Rosie dodged to the side before firing a stiff jab towards Hoshino's stomach. The Pink-Haired Pugilist would then draw her one arm to the side before throwing it back towards the side of Aoi's head for an elbow. And finally, Rosie would attempt to slam Aoi's head off the apron.

Meanwhile, the referee counted to

"Four!"

Aoi's punch clocks Rosie right in the jaw, dazing her for just a moment longer, but unfortunately for the wannabe tough-girl, it's not enough as the Pink-Haired Pugilist found her second wind and immediately began to retaliate. A swift dodge followed up by a stiff counter-punch led to Aoi gasping for air for just a moment. She breathed in but she gave Rosie too much time to recover, resulting in her getting knocked upside the head by a mean elbow strike, forcing her to stagger back a bit.

As she was being dragged over to the apron, Aoi could feel her head being tossed straight into the side of the ring. Luckily for her, she pushed both arms out to stop herself, her quick reaction time saving her from a brutal headache. With a huff, she tries to elbow Rosie in the gut in order to have her loosen her grip. If successful, she'd escape and roll right back into the ring first as the count continued to go up.


"SEVEN!!!"

Rosie hit that jab and elbow rather effectively, instantly showing Aoi that she couldn't match in a fist fight with her. Not many in LAW could, and those that tried normally regretted it. However, as Knuckles went to slam Hoshino's head on the apron, but she was stopped.

An elbow came after, stopping the aggressive Rosie from completing that move when Aoi began trying to get back into the ring. As soon as she slid in, the cute terror grabbed hold of one of the blue-haired girl's legs and by her pants, holding tight before she could get too far. "Not so fast, bitch!" yelled Knuckles before yanking back hard, aiming to pull back on Hoshino and send her falling right on her front unceremoniously on the outside of the ring!

This would trigger the referee to reset the count all over again, starting with,

"ONE!"
