I gotcha. Believe it or not, I haven’t won a single world title and I’m only 38. I got some time left on me, but you never know when it’s gonna be time to call it quits,” William stated as he joined both women on the sleds.

It really depends on how long you see yourself in the ring. Most women mine and Alaina’s age would’ve hung up the boots by now and just spent retirement elsewhere hanging with family. This sport is also not for everyone so other men and women retire way younger than the average age is. For me, I think my mid-40s will be my stopping point. I’m getting old by then and my body will break down faster the more I do this,” Kennedy explained.

I never really thought about my age of retirement. I think I can still go for 20 or 30 more years. I’m more old school so even winding down to a part-time schedule wouldn’t hinder my abilities. I’m also a natural gym rat so I basically always keep in shape. I might even try to get some tag team gold with Astrid’s father so he can have one last title run,” William explained.

"I hear ya.... I am 47 now. I would love to be a 50 year old who wins a title or has a title showing the young ladies that I am still a force in the ring even if I am old enough to be their mother. But the kids will be 13 at that point. Once they are that old it will be tough to keep going. I go nuts here so I can wrestle all the matches I can age be damned." Alaina said. There was no denying though that her recovery time needed for matches was more than it was when she was 27. She had to keep pushing herself. She knew coming back and holding her high standard for success meant she needed to win championships.

She perked up a bit as she finished her sled pushing and stood with her hands on her head taking deep breaths for her short break before starting the circuit all over again. "Tell him you trained with me. We've met and were a mixed tag team for a short time when I first got to Europe. I left an impression with him when he did a locker room callout and a woman answered it. Just don't bring up the fact that I beat him." Alaina said with a wink.

He deserves to live out the title dream one last time. He said his brother, Hans, isn’t really in the mood to keep wrestling going and it’s just been him competing in the indies. I’ve trained with him and Lars thought me how to effectively put in the Bearhug so I’ve taken it up as a finisher to use with him and Astrid. Plus, since he’s going to be my family now, I might as well become his partner for the time he has left. Lars has told me about retiring in the next five years or so,” William mentioned.

"Five years? Oh wow, he better have a nice celebration his career has been something else." Alaina said before getting into position starting the pushups to kick off round 2.

"Kennedy who are some of your favorite opponents?" Alaina asked not wanting her to feel left out.

Oh, I always have a soft spot for Astrid. That girl is my eternal rival and I couldn’t ask for anyone better. I also had my recent match against Peggy McIntyre and she’s pretty tough as well,” Kennedy replied. “Surely, you have fun wrestling stories to tell, hon.

"Hmmm, well I have a few rivals here in LAW. Kat is a great friend and we wrestled back when I first retired. She seems to have my number to an extent since my comeback as frustrating as that is but it will change soon." Alaina said taking a deep breath. "Sienna Smith, Karen Starring, Dana Ashford, Thereisa Neidermeyer.... I have a lot of women I clash with regularly." Alaina said with a shrug lunging her way over to the ropes again.

Ever had any trainees with ya? I do that with Ash and Kayla of the SoCal Connection, but we call ourselves Jungle Pride. We recently won our first match together in England,” Kennedy stated with a proud smirk.

"Oh nice! I actually train with my tag partner "tigress" Tina Armstrong. She was the inaugural LAW middleweight champion at 19 and still going strong even though she dropped the title after a year and a half." Alaina said. "My nephew Dan is a strength coach in the LAW gym, his girlfriend Irelia Xu trains with us sometimes too." Alaina added as she wrapped up her row medley.

You might’ve heard about this as well, but what about your kids? What would you think if they ever got into wrestling or ever had an interest in the sport?” William asked.

"Oh.... well I can already see it happening even if I am honestly not a fan. I would love to see them do something else that doesn't require all the travel and strain. But if it is what they want to do I can't stop them." Alaina answered.

They were only 9, so she knew she at least had some time to hope that they changed their minds.
