"And you conveniently ignored my failed attempt at getting more of a response from you, ok be that way."

Geun said faking annoyance before she grabbed her glass and took another sip, it was getting close to empty. And it seemed she had to wrestle every word out of Senji.

"If you are gonna be like that why don't you propose a topic?"

His expression turned deadpan at her reaction. He was just agreeing with her. The female species, what an enigma. He racked his brain to come up with something on the spot. Martial arts would get stale if he discussed it for too long. Rock climbing wasn't something they shared an interest in. What about...

"Have you ever been out of Japan?"

There were many who stayed all their lives, came to the country, or permanently extradited themselves. Senji was the of the latter sort. When his father had been around and after his passing, he finished his education in the United States of America and his mother moved back to her motherland of an area in Germany. Senji and Hiroyuki, in part due to LAW, had to stay in Japan and make themselves at home. Steadily, by participating in matches, Senji was building back income he'd lost starting out. He'd certainly get more as he won matches. He definitely loved both countries, ranging from the food to the music. He hoped nothing would happen that may ruin both. Still, Senji would do best to concern his attention on the fair lady in front of him.

Geun shook her head and chuckled, Senji's reaction, or rather lack thereof suggested that he did not catch that she was still just messing with him.

"You really need to refresh your people skills, I'm still messing with you, though I have to say, it's rather amusing. And no, never been to Japan before joining LAW, I spent my whole life in the states.

Senji's interest was pegged at the notion of her having lived in the USA before this. Originally, he had been under the notice that she was a native. Seemed he was mistaken on that front. The reveal of her messing with him made him sigh in a deplorable fashion. What she said went without saying. Oh well, Senji would get plenty of practice with Geun. The younger man shifted forward in his seat, leaning forward as to hear Geun better and grab ahold of the remainder of his drinks. Mouth to the lips, and Senji was well on his way to finishing the Sweet Tea properly. After downing it, he exclaimed a response in hushed excitement, lacking much passion since they were in a restaurant. Plus, he wasn't one to yell unless irrefutably irritated.

Finally, he interlocked his fingers in front of himself, folding the digits over each other as he returned her eye-to-eye stare in the second half of his response.

"Really? Me too...! Though, I decided to move here mostly because I did not feel like I was getting anywhere? Japan's been good to me and LAW's great so far. I think it has----everything I'm looking for. You and Huan have been a treasure especially."

"I'm glad you think that way, truth be told I didn't have much of a future back west. I've been good at what I was doing but there is only so long til my luck would have run out. I like the LAW better, though I wouldn't be here if not for someone recommending me."

She replied taking the last sip of her father. Back home she stirred clear of the more notorious circles and started making her way in some more official fights but getting seriously injured, in a way that few months and enough would not fix was always a possibility. She was happy to have that behind her.

Senji listened quietly as he wanted to let Geun say her piece. By her admission of what she was doing, Senji assumed she meant cage fighting of some sort. He thought he could relate to that. Perhaps there'd been another way. But Senji had stuck to his plan and as a result, found himself toiling at the behest of some seedy individuals. He hated it and the morally bankrupt eggheads who only wanted to see pain and suffering, regardless of any honor involved. He needed the money they were paying out and he hadn't ever killed anyone in the cage or ring. Senji refrained from actions like that. He'd torn past the cause of his anger and is on the road to healing. Even on the brink of defeat, Senji did not have a big enough reason to fight as he would if there was a game of death. Whether this was a strength or weakness, would be up to future events and interpretation.

Progressively, Takijima managed to dig himself back out of the hole. It remains be to seen whether something would pull him back in or not. It all depends on the world and the young fighter himself.

"You were recommended? Well, I was scouted. I don't know why they do that, I would say it's because LAW needed new fighters. It's much more pleasant than a long time ago."

"Yeah, when someone like Huan tells you a person can fight well, you just don't question it I guess. She dropped a word about me and poof, here I am. It's good to have friends like that. Also, I did most of my fighting where most scouts would not venture, so you know."

She said and stretched her back and shoulders in the seat before leaning back in her seat, one arm wrapped over the back of the seat.

"As far as I can tell LAW is always looking for more fighters, so scouts make sense."

"I'm 19, so I wasn't expecting to be...picked up, as you'd put it. Suppose it is a positive I was though, like I said."

That's another difference between them though. Where Senji stopped once he got what he needed, Geun continued to push her luck. Not that it was bad, per se. It was likely better that Huan did put in a good word on her behalf. And to be honest, Senji wouldn't be here right now if she hadn't chose to come to LAW. Or, perhaps he would be, just with another person. Many events were possible. Senji observed her little showing, drinking in the sight without falling over himself. That body was definitely admirable especially from a fitness standpoint. She had a fine set of abs for taking pictures punishment. And limbs that were put to the wringer only hours before in their match. Senji's thoughts turned to his future interactions, deciding to proposition her. In a questioning manner did his left eyebrow slightly slide up.

"You----want to grapple again, soon?"

At that, Senji with a dust of a fluster, looked down at the interlocked digits...then to the scenery around the two as he awaited for either response she chose.

Geun was slightly surprised by his demeanor at that moment. From all of his cagines before to being flustered while asking such a question, she wasn't entirely sure if he actually meant just grappling or if something else was circling his mind. She stopped herself from using that opportunity to mess with him, as perfect as it was, she didn't actually want to risk offending him in some way.

"Sure, any time." She replied in a friendly tone though she couldn't stop herself from raising one eyebrow and giving a slight chuckle given their entire situation.

Seeing that it got a positive response out of her, Senji nodded in thanks for her consideration. While he did appreciate how Huan and Geun looked, the teasing they threw periodically went over his head. More direct propositions wouldn't, such as, "I had your head between my legs twice now, you could relax a little." However, Senji wanted to respect limitations despite the implications not being lost on him. Becoming a lecherous fool was something he wanted to stay away from at all times. Plus, it was a littlee too early in their relationship from his perspective and Geun was only just starting to progress into that shell of his. Cageiness was definitely a word for it. Senji's thoughts turned for a new topic. Mmm...it may be a little weird but he may as well give it a shot. It's based on the martial arts area and Geun wanting him to speak up a little more.

"If you were to be----attacked in a car or something---how would you approach that? Sorry if it's a rare one."

Personally, that had never happened to Senji from what he could recall. His memory was far from horrendous. Still, making conversation in the waning moments of their outing would be better than just sitting in empty silence without substance.
