Until now.
Lena Mei-Xing was far removed from those days at that German wrestling school. She couldn't even remember the name of it, if she was being honest. But the memories inside the gym were as clear as day. Men and women occupied the classes, including a woman known as Tina Meyer, but all of them seemed invisible in comparison to the incomparable Karen Adams. Karen had a gift and knew it, and thus she honed that gift until she became a star, and signed to LAW, while Lena...
No matter. Any difficulties were past her now, despite the pang in her heart. She had made it, finally. Years she had doubted she could become a big name wrestler, and the constant training she did and the strain she put on her body, finally Lena got signed to a big name company in LAW. And the sentiment wasn't lost on her, being signed to the very same company as Karen Adams.
It pained her to think of them reuniting, knowing the reasons of why she left in the first place, but Lena knew it was something she had to do. And in addition, the last show before she was officially signed, Karen Adams had a match on. Lena watched that match diligently, having watched many before, but this one being different for all the wrong reasons. Facing Kathleen Hendricks, the woman who called herself the Queen of Domination ambushed Karen from behind, knocking her in the head, and proceeded to brutally target it for all of the match.
It was clear that Karen was injured early on, but she did her best to fight through. But unfortunately, that injury was too much to overcome and Kathleen dominated her, ending her with a sickening piledriver that made Lena bite her tongue watching. Her being stretchered out was heartbreaking, bleeding from a cut to her head, and her attire showing off the bruises to her stomach and chest. Lena knew she needed to check on Karen, now that she was signed. Seeing her vulnerable and hurt like that, it broke her heart..
Now, here she was. Karen had suffered from a concussion from all the attacks to her head. She'd miss a lot of time, but doctors told her that she was expected to make a full recovery, with no lingering damage after her recovery. Along with that, she had abdominal bruising that needed some time to simmer and fade, and the cut on her head needing a few stitches, but were set to be removed rather quickly. But still, knowing the competitive spirit of Karen, Lena knew she'd want to get back into the ring, to get revenge on that monster of a woman who had destroyed her, and could use the presence of an old friend.
Finding her locker room, Lena took in a deep breath, before slowly opening up the door and walking inside. All of her anxiety over the meeting, she had to confront it now and just get it over with. All she could hope for, is that her old friend remembered her and didn't hold a grudge over Lena abandoning her without a word. "Karen..? Y-You remember me? It's Lena.."
