As an avid follower of the law, Luana holds regard only for those who follow the rules just as she does. Thus she always shows adequate sportsmanship and respect when up against rule-abiding faces and tweeners.
However, Luana feels her time is better spent against the true felons of the ring: The heels, the sadists, the deviants, all intent on perverting the time-honored and rule-bound traditions of the ring. Such crooks deserve nothing less than Luana's "Bad Cop" side, and she has no qualms about giving it to them either. She'll use every technique at her disposal to wrangle, rumble, and ultimately subdue any perpetrator in her path, while never having to bend the rules herself to do so. However as a last resort, she may push her moves to the brink of what's acceptable in a match, but only in scenarios where two-timing competitors leave her no other choice.
Considering the diverse array of criminal characters in LAW, Luana has taken an all-encompassing approach to crime fighting. While some fans think she harbors a naughty side to her, she'll always profess that public shaming is just a necessary means of in-ring punishment - even if she does take some small pleasure in it.
Despite the hazardous nature of wrestling, Luana isn't one to take on too many risks, instead prefering to do things "by the book." She gets along great with other technicians and specialists, while being most at odds with wild, unpredictable, or impulsive characters. While some may find Luana's strict adherence to the rules a little too headstrong, and her overly serious personality to be somewhat of a buzzkill, Luana believes that only through strict discipline and dedication can she truly bring a sense of justice to the wild world of LAW.
Biography: Ever since she was a little girl, Luana has been a real stickler for the rules. Maybe it was her police officer parents who instilled it in her, or perhaps she's just a little more German than her fellow countrymen. Either way, the young German girl knew very early on that she wanted to dedicate her life to justice and the rule of law.
A career in law enforcement like her parents seemed like the obvious choice. As a young student Luana began rigorously pursuing activities that would better prepare her for her fabled career choice. Track and field was essential if she wanted to outrun future suspects, with the 800 meters quickly becoming her specialty. Criminology and psychology courses set her up with a solid understanding of law and the criminal mind. And last, but certainly not least, high school wrestling taught her the fundamentals when it came to subduing a perp.
As a star track and field athlete, accomplished student, and captain of the girl's wrestling team, Luana was a no brainer when it came recruitment time for the Munich police academy. She continued to excel in her studies and athleticism, but no where was her exceptionalism more clear than in her combative courses. German police forces taught a unique form of martial arts dubbed German ju-jutsu, one that Luana took an instant aptitude towards. While the artform itself utilized a healthy mix of strikes, throws and submissions, it was the latter two that Luana displayed a heightened competence for.
Her interest in the sport extended outside of just training, and she soon received an invitation to the elite local police chapter ju-jutsu club. Her skills were honed even further, and by the time she graduated, she had earned a reputation as perhaps the most capable hand-to-hand combatant on the force. But all of that would mean nothing until she had tested her skills out on the field.
Graduating at age 20, Luana spent the next two years as a prodigal police officer. She exceeded all of her arrest quotas, apprehended more bad guys than entire squadrons, and took down criminals twice her size with ease. A fast-tracked career in Law Enforcement seemed all but a certainty for Luana, and sure enough, the day came where Luana received a one-of-a-kind assignment.
A special promotion had been put out by LAW in partnership with law enforcement agencies worldwide in an effort to boost the faltering reputation of sworn officers, and her department had just nominated her as a potential candidate. Only one person was to be selected, and their job would be to represent the pinnacle of justice in the ring.
While she was initially hesitant to leave her post fighting crime in the streets of Munich, she was quickly convinced after witnessing live screenings of the utter debauchery that took place in LAW. Villainesses of all sorts preyed on otherwise noble athletes and wrestlers, with millions tuning in to revel in their perverted displays of cruelty. Luana simply couldn't pass the opportunity to put such evil to rest, while also painting law enforcement as a force of good and righteousness to inspire other young girls.
And so Luana began training rigorously in the art of pro wrestling. Her ju-jitsu clubbed helped her immensely, even putting on small exhibition matches to help her test her skills. Her martial background already set her up with a solid foundation, but Luana quickly picked up some high-flying techniques on the way to fully cement herself in the world of puroresu. Some of her clubmates even held private practice sessions to help her practice some of the more... intimate crime fighting techniques that would become necessary if she were to join LAW.
Soon the day of the tryouts came - a tournament in Tokyo that would determine who would be accepted into the program. Luana was placed into grueling match after grueling match against other candidates, but sure enough, she prevailed in the end.
