Alice Charlston VS Shimmerlace Snuggleblossom

“Augh!” Alice would scream as she stumbled backwards, clutching her face. She couldn’t be mad, she had given Shimmer the opportunity. But while she remained on her feet, she was stunned and in pain. Trying to react before Shimmer could rise, she would try to enact an elbow drop to her adversary’s neck.

The jolt from caffeine-addled REM sleep to full wakefulness pierced Shimmerlace through the sternum with adrenaline. She ducked out of the elbow’s trajectory—and Alice crashed beside her—but Shimmer’s focus was on her pounding heart. The muscle fluttered the way she imagined a heart flutters moments before succumbing under a blood clot.

Why’d this fuckin idiot let Shimmer loose?

‘Cause she didn’t want to win ten seconds in, you daft twit. Why not? Squashing a competitor out of her weight class, even a Lioness, in less than a minute could only have been a gold star on Alice’s record. Perhaps she held back for the audience’s entertainment, for love of the sport. Or Alice might have just felt pity: For as auspicious as a win like that might be, the reverse, the loss, would have stuck to Shimmer like tar. It still might.

Any way you looked at it, though, Shimmer owed this Alice...plenty...but a real match especially. Using the adrenaline for fuel, Shimmerlace managed a kip to her feet.

—And just that basic move got a laugh from the bleachers. Could you beat it? Later Shimmer would figure that the whole “sleep walking fighter” thing had come over as a bit, but in the moment Shimmer just acted on instinct—she turned and offered them a polite teatime curtsy.

By that time, Alice may have gotten to her feet herself. Either way, Shimmer would break the curtsy nine-tenths finished, dash for the ropes, bounce, and aim to jump butt-first on a down opponent or thrust after a spring with both feet her fey shoulder into a standing opponent's gut.

Alice began to crawl to her feet, somewhat dazed after missing the elbow drop. Now regretting her decision to release the hold. She let out a loud “oomph!” As Shimmerlace landed on the small of her back. Alice lay sprawled under shimmer, attempting to push up and buck shimmer off.

So there was Alice, bucking and carrying on like a wild manatee, and Shimmer didn’t really have a rabbit’s cotton-ball of an idea of what to do next, but her gut told her she was about to get tossed, so she tried to grab the nearest anchor to keep her mount among the turbulence: A smooth pair of brown, kicking legs.

As she aimed for this, something fuzzy and pink floating at the back of Shimmer’s mind whispered: If ya get them wee legs under your grip like and bend her up all rolly-polly so you're sitting on her face, see, and her knees are under your pits, that’ll stick her butt in the air!

(Of course it would also initiate a pin, but the butt was a more salient fact).

Alice grunted as she was pinned, and blushed at her position while desperately trying to kick free. “ONE!”

And it was, indeed, a fine patootie Shimmerlace exposed to the ringside ceiling. The Hedge-wise emissary gazed lovingly down at this part of Alice, so soft, so silly compared to the furious fighter it was attached to. Tight against Alice's clothes, it stretched and jiggled as she struggled in a way that...well. Shimmerlace had no choice, really. She had to bring down a glamourous smack upon that adorable, brown cheek.

And spank it she would have, except when she leaned forward to land the skin-reddening slap, Alice kicked. Alice's legs were under Shimmer's pits, and Shimmer was already leaning forward, so much of the work already being done, Shimmer went tumbling forward.

"Oop!"

Shimmer's face smacked into the canvas. And then—an idea. What if she just...kept rolling, kept the momentum going, somersault like a pillbug, as if Alice's move had sent her tumble-weeding into the ropes?

"FUCKFUCKFUCK!"

What would happen is she'd wind up a dizzy mess with her arms hanging off the bottom rope, and the crowd would laugh and cheer (fucking cheer), and a wee stupid part of Shimmer would a give a wee, stupid smile.

Alice gave a sympathetic smile at Shimmer. The poor girl was clearly operating on mere minutes of sleep. It was time to end this, she decided. But not without some payback. Shimmer had shown off Alice’s body quite a bit this match, and Alice had to return the favor. She would grab Shimmer by the back and drag her to the center of the ring, before lifting and, showing off, putting her opponent in a torture rack.
