Wyvern has studied various martial arts for almost half of her life, and the very first one she learned focused heavily on knee and elbow strikes like the one Thereisa tries to direct into her face. As a result, she's able to read the larger wrestler's plans well before her jump has even begun, and prepare what she considers an appropriate countermeasure. Rather than dodging again, or even trying to block, Wyvern actually widens her arms to fully open up her guard against Thereisa's flying knee. As her opponent thrusts her leg upwards, however, Wyvern snaps her head down, driving her forehead into Thereisa's kneecap.
The clash of strength is cataclysmic for both combatants. Wyvern's head is harder literally than it is metaphorically, and that's a very high bar to clear given her unbelievable stubborness. Furthermore, years of training and experience have taught her just how to make use of it to inflict the maximum amount of damage wherever it impacts. For her part, however, Wyvern's head is forcibly launched backwards, wrenching her neck and causing a disorienting eruption of stars in her vision. Thrown off-balance, the smaller wrestler is sent staggering backwards, saved from falling only when she backs into the ropes. More on instinct than conscious thought, she throws her arms backwards over the top rope to support herself, barely managing to stay on her feet as a result. She can't even see her opponent clearly, but a violent grin still manages to crack its way unnaturally across her face.
"Heh..."

Re: Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow
Thereisa was going for that knock-out blow, she was going for a move with the hardest part of her body in her knee right at the woman's face and head area... if it was anybody else they would have been seeing stars or concussed with ease.
But Wyvern keeps managing to surprise her as the other woman would slam her head right onto her kneecap, which is the turn of the beginning of the feeling out between the two of them as Thereisa lets out a grunt of pain from her knee. The older woman falls to her side holding her knee cap holding it with her hand as she slams her fist onto the ring canvas in anger before pushing herself up to her feet again, refusing to allow the other woman to get a jump on her as she glares due to seeing the other woman using the ring ropes to keep herself upright while she fell and ended up on the mat.
Deciding to fight smart instead of rushing in and allowing Wyvern to take the counter move and will try to set a pace for her that is more of her style of match, as she starts to circle her opponent now and starts to take swipes with her hands at her opponent to test and see what the woman is going to do but more of trying to set up an opening to allow her to get a good strike on Wyvern and get some payback for the headbutt to the knee.

Re: Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow
Wyvern's psychotically stubborn daring response to the knee strike bore fruit, momentarily incapacitating her larger opponent with pain and preventing what would no doubt have been a brutally effective follow-through. The fact that she was (technically) able to keep herself standing while Thereisa was forced to the ground after the clash only makes the momentary victory all the sweeter. Unfortunately, momentary quickly becomes the key word in that description, as Wyvern watches all three copies of the Silver Demon rise from the floor and advance on her before she has even begun to fully recover.
Rather than letting Thereisa get anywhere close to her, Wyvern flips back over the ropes and drops to the ground unsteadily. The turbulent motion does not favors for her head, but she's able to stumble backwards up against the barrier, sending one of the neon signs crashing to the ground behind her. She leans backwards against it, using her elbows to keep herself standing in a motion that would look almost casual if she wasn't so clearly impaired.
"I think that's enough of that, don't you? This is a street fight. Let's bleed a bit."

Re: Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow
Stumbling may have cost Thereisa due to her knee. As she was forced to watch her opponent, use the ring ropes to flip over and land on the outside with a stumble near the barrier, as much as she hates to admit it if she was younger... she would have been to keep the pressure on Wyvern and not let her escape that easily at all. Seeing as the woman knocked over the neon sign to the ground doesn't faze her, as she would turn her head and prepare herself for what she is about to do next... taking a gamble and going for a high risk high reward move.
Thereisa would run to the other side of the ring and rebounds off the ropes and reaching the other side would leap into the air, going for a leap of faith dive right at her opponent who is still resting on the barricade

Re: Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow
Normally, Wyvern might respond to Thereisa's leaping dive in a number of ways. If she had identified a weak point, she might try to turn her opponent's momentum into a weapon and strike it before she could be properly impacted. She might try to dodge, setting herself up to attack while her opponent recovered. She might even try to put together a proper block, attempting to use her exceptional strength and durability to tank the attack in a way no normal person could. While Wyvern still has many flaws as a wrestler, strict adherence to conventional tactics certainly isn't one of them.
Unfortunately, Wyvern's earlier stunt of headbutting a knee strike is still costing her, and she simply hasn't sufficiently recovered to mount much of a response at all. Even a simple fall to the side is prevented, as she is positioned between a pile of cinder blocks and a trash can that would prevent her from carrying the dodge out. Realizing that the coming impact is inevitable, all Wyvern can do is grab one of the small neon signs still perched on the barricade and hold it up in Thereisa's way. The larger wrestler will shatter her way through it and into Wyvern with little difficulty, but it will send glass shards into both combatants...

Re: Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow
At the last minute, Wyvern would change the match into the bloody match that the fans were looking for and hoping for, as the woman would grab the neon sign that she was next to and held it up just as Thereisa crashed into it.
Glass and sparks fly off the sign right into the older woman's face as she crashes onto the floor... Shards of glass are sticking on her face and hands when she tried to her hands up to protect her face but didn't get them up in time.

Re: Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow
Rather than brace for the coming impact, Wyvern forces her entire body to relax. Heavy resistance will only increase the risk of damage from what's about to come, and she can't stop it outright. Thereisa is too large and too strong for that. With only the small sign as a comically ineffective barricade, the next few moments seem to go in slow motion for the Irish wrestler. Thereisa crashes straight through the sign, which shatters in an eruption of jagged plastic and razor-sharp glass fragments. At the moment of impact, Wyvern brings her raised arms together in front of her face, shielding her eyes from being sliced open by any loose debris but shredding her forearms in the process. Then, she feels the impact as Thereisa's full weight slams into her. Already backed against the barricade, Wyvern has nowhere to go as she is crushed under the heavyweight's bulk. She can feel her bones straining, her back screaming in pain where it is driven into the top corner of the barricade. At the same time, the glass already piercing her skin is driven further, opening several wider lacerations and a few deep injuries. It's all too much, and the pain elicits a rare cry from Wyvern.
"GAAAAGH!"
Unable to deal with the impact, the barricade collapses backwards, bringing both wrestlers down into the standing room of the stadium. The crowd gasps and pulls away from the fallen fighters and spray of sharp detritus, giving the two room. Separated from her opponent by the fall, Wyvern struggles to force her way through the agony and begin to get up, but makes no immediate progress.

Re: Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow
'Aaarrgggghhhh'
Laying on her back looking up at the lights above her, Thereisa doesn't know how much damage was done to her face after slamming face first into that sign. Reaching up with her hands to clutch her face feeling the glass shards on her skin, blood leaking slowly from the cuts as she rolls herself over onto her stomach and starts to crawl slowly to help herself get to her feet.
As Thereisa comes across another of the neon signs that are all over the ring to promote the match, she reaches out and grabs it with her hands to help pull herself up to her feet before leaning against the sign to support her body weight. Doing something that would be considered shocking and graphic bloody and scary scene... The older woman would use her fingers to pull out every piece of glass that is stuck in her face, without even flinching before tossing them aside, one piece came dangerously close to her eye but struck her cheek instead.

Re: Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow
Wyvern's entire world is pain. Her entire body hurts from the tremendous impact of Cyber Widow crashing into her. Her arms bleed in over a dozen places, trickling down and staining the protective wrappings around her hands. Even so, this isn't enough to discourage her. On the contrary, she feels more alive than ever. There's a reason she seeks out hardcore matches like this, after all. One taste of this adrenaline and nothing else could ever fully satisfy her. Wyvern is no masochist; the pain was unpleasant, to be sure, but it was necessary. Pain was something she knew and could accept.
Finally pushing herself off the ground, Wyvern slowly rises, small shards of glass raining down from her all the while. Still half limp when she finally makes it to her feet, the Irish wrestler stares unreadably over at her opponent as the taller woman extracts the glass from her face. When Thereisa discards a particularly large fragment, Wyvern's arm darts out, snatching it from the air. Bringing it up to her face to examine it, the younger wrestler grotesquely flicks her tongue out and licks the bloody shard before casually tossing it behind her.
"That's better."
Slowly, Wyvern begins edging her way back into the cramped confines of the enclosure around the ring. She never lets her gaze leave Thereisa, keeping her guard up at all times in case the older woman decides to make a move before they're fully back inside.

Re: Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow
Thereisa glares at the display of her opponent is doing in front of her. Seeing the younger woman take the big piece of glass that was stuck in her face, and after looking at it for a bit, would flick her tongue out and lick the blood off of it before tossing the shard aside with a grin on her face. Seeing someone as insane as Wyvern is taking her back to her bloodiest match she ever been in, and that was against Rip Saber the army theme wrestler who blooded her so badly she had to get stitches in her arm from having it shredded due to the man love of barbed wires.
'If you think that is going to be enough to freak me out. You have to do more than that to make that happen.'
As the older woman would stagger to the ring but doesn't go inside as she is peeking underneath the ring apron... before raising up to her full height holding something that she has been known for using since her battles with the Blue Flame in her reign as champion. In her hands is a pair of fluorescent light tubes before sliding the items into the ring, before she ducks back down and pulls out more of them and a wooden board that is covered in barbed wire.
