At merely 20 years old, Allie could be considered a prodigy of wrestling. A mix of power, speed and drive makes her an opposing foe, and growing up in a wrestling family that has trained her since a ripe young age has allowed her a greater love for wrestling and experience than most trainees. While Allie isn't experienced necessarily in real matches, she has trained in the ring with her cousins and siblings, and has been subjected to hundreds of hours of tape to watch and go over, to learn from the very best, and in this, she both has acquired a great mind for wrestling, but also chosen just which style fits her best.
Her natural strength allows her to compete with some of the top middleweights in terms of power, while her speed and athleticism allows her to easily adapt a high-flying style to her matches that could overwhelm the unprepared. Her technical prowess is lacking some, but she isn't a schoolgirl on the mat and has been taught defensive mechanisms when grappling and stands a chance to fight off deadly submissions.
But her biggest strength is her will, a never-say-die attitude that allows her to push her body to its absolute limit. She lives and breaths wrestling, not just because she loves it or because she is so gifted, but because she has to.
Even so, she isn't invulnerable. On offense, she is a creative and versatile machine, but on defense, she can be lacking. Training matches often meant she wasn't getting hit as hard as she could've been, and thus if she falls onto her back foot, she can worn down, and while her will is powerful, her body's limitations cannot match up to her attitude. Along with that, submission style matches can be a struggle for her too, as while she has decent defense on the ground, she often can't turn that advantage into a match-winning submission, be it due to her holding back or due to her not carving out a list of moves she can pull out of a hit, like she can while grappling or running around the ring.
Along with this, despite her sheer determination to win, she is still human and is under great pressure to succeed. Both for personal and for family reasons, and thus she can get overly emotional in matches if things don't seem to be going her way or if she feels she's outmatched.
Personality:
Allie is a happy, if not also serious woman. Growing up in a wrestling family, she's used to the backstage atmosphere typical of that of a wrestling locker room, and is thus familiar of all the characters one could find back there. While she's open to friends and companions, her ultimate goal for wrestling is for herself and her family, and thus isn't super social, but that doesn't mean she's stone-cold or anything. She'll engage in conversation if she's approached, and isn't going to let herself just be some pushover, but everyone else in LAW is at least a step below her in terms of importance, and she isn't going to sacrifice herself for anyone else considering why she got into LAW in the first place.
Some may consider it cowardly or self-centered, but Allie really isn't that. Allie will take risks if it's ultimately beneficiary for her, and she'll look out for others if they help her as well, and outside of a wrestling setting, she's generally more open and talkative. But when in the setting, Allie recognizes that she's the one who has to provide for her family, and so becomes more distant in order to assure that she can do just that. She still feels for others, she just knows she needs to calculate her risks and analyze those she becomes close with, as not to risk losing her spot and, thus, her pay.
But outside of that, Allie is a total wrestling nerd. She loves it with all of her heart, and treats every day doing it a blessing, and is completely driven by both that and her family. Very little can shake her adoration for the sport, for being in the ring and fighting her opponent.
History:
Allie was born into the Magalei Family, a Samoan family of wrestlers that scale back generations. Her mother, Alaine, was a pioneer in establishing a role model for Samoan girls to look up to, while her father, Max, was a multi-time champion in numerous smaller promotions and a recognizable face in the bigger one. And from birth, she began to absorb the sport. Watching American wrestling on TV as a toddler and kid, expanding into Japanese and Mexican wrestling as she grew older, with her family eventually beginning to make her watch tape on all the legendary wrestlers and matches that there were records of. Other girls around her grew to adore things such as reality TV, superheroes, vampire flicks, boys, but Allie only ever had one love: wrestling.
Once she reached 12, she began to train with their older cousins as to learn how to be wrestlers. Out of everyone, Allie took to the training the best, having inherited her mother's wily speed and her father's strength. From a young age, she was considered a prodigy, someone who, once introduced to the ring with her first opponent, seemed destined for all-time greatness.
By the time she hit 18, Allie was ready for her first match, but backstage at the event, her mother got into a severe accident, and Allie bailed in order to visit her in the hospital. Around the same time, it was revealed that Allie's father was a serial cheater back in his wrestling days, often sleeping with other women while on the road, and even paying hush money to keep a pregnancy quiet. The accident reduced Alaine to being paralyzed from the neck down and in need of constant assistance, while Max was kicked out of the home and family.
Allie took the next year to providing for her mother, assisting her around the house, feeding, dressing and cleaning her, abandoning wrestling and her dreams. Not just her, but her younger siblings that were born several years after her. Eventually, the money Alaine had made and saved dried up, and thus in order to afford to get her mother on assisted living, Allie tried to get back into wrestling, not having developed another skill due to her constant training and studying when she was young. Her father's controversy soured many promoters on the Magalei name, but others allowed Allie to wrestle and her first match was in front of 20 people in a backyard. While Allie was great, the pay wasn't, and she had to be on the road--traveling--nonstop in order to make the appropriate funds for her mother.
A year went by of this, before eventually, a LAW representative reached out to Allie and offered her a multi-year deal to LAW under the Young Lioness program, offering steady pay that would allow her to comfortably afford the assisted living for her mother. While high in pay, being a Young Lioness meant that her spot wasn't secure and, if her production didn't match her pay, she'd be cut. Still, Allie couldn't afford to decline, and accepted immediately.
