Toshiko Ito vs Amy Evans - Apex Qualifier

The cold blooded assassin's non stop attack would continue, and Amy needed to find an opening soon. Right now she was too hurt to focus on anything that might help her and she was quickly pulled towards Toshiko by her grabbing her leg and turning her to her back. She attempted to pull her leg away and get away from the swift Toshiko but she already had a plan and quickly started attacking her stomach with stomps.

"Auuggh! Gnngh!" Amy gasped. Toshiko's boots kept stomping her belly, forcing her abs to endure what felt like her entire weight crashing down on them. Her body tried to jump or curl up in reaction to the kicks, she gagged and coughed with each blow nearly spitting on her intruding leg. She would eventually try to turn her body again to avoid any more stomps but knew that it would only be half the battle with someone like Toshiko on her.

Toshiko's kicks landed hard into Amy's midsection, unrelenting and uncaring, as she was wearing down her opponent. It would be simple maneuvers like these, while Evans was upside-down, that would wear her down more and more. That was the goal, and with every cough and struggle from Amy, she knew she was doing exactly what she set out to do.

And then, Evans had managed to turn away, keeping herself from being kicked any more. Ito released her leg then, staring down at her and then squatting down over her. "You cannot challenge me," said Toshiko sternly before grabbing Amy by her hair and then ripping her back up to her feet. The strong, yet quick, girl had gotten Amy to her feet, scowling at her behind her mask before grabbing her by the head and throwing her towards the ropes.

Hoping to catch her on the rebound, Toshiko would wait for Amy to get close before stepping forward and leaping into the air with a Spinning Heel Kick, wanting to take her blonde opponent's head off. Just another in the many major ways she would break her down.

Amy protected herself, even as her body was getting battered by hits that would have knocked her out if she wasn't as built as she was. Every hit felt like it was piercing through all the muscle and fat she built like she had no natural defenses from any hit. Toshiko was growing in confidence, taking time to taunt her before she would grab her and try to force her up despite the pain in her abdomen and arms making her rise sluggish and with some protests, ultimately she can't stop Toshiko from forcing her up or trying to throw her her backwards to rebound off the ropes.

Despite her pain and stumbling towards Toshiko, the blonde was heading towards Toshiko who was already preparing her next attack. Amy had almost no time to think of what the attack was going to be, and watching Toshiko preparing to jump she realized what to do and move just as Toshiko would have knocked her out. The blonde dodged the kick by going low, crawling under her flying foe, but she felt her arms struggle to work and she nearly fell on her face before she stood back up. She would hit the ropes on the other side and stayed there, holding onto the ropes to stay up and get some time to focus.

Toshiko's Spinning Heel Kick had launched directly over Amy's head as she ducked under it. Ito fell onto the mat and then rolled with the momentum, swinging back to her feet as she glared directly at Evans, angrily and looking like she may come at her twice as hard now. A more angry and determined Toshiko was a lot more dangerous, and she was hardly willing to let herself be made a fool of by her opponent. Staying on one knee, she watched as Ito struggled against the ropes.

The big Twilight Edge began a full on sprint as she came directly towards Amy. She was going to make her pay, and she was sure of her ability to do so. The Japanese striker would then get close and swing around, firing a standing heel kick directly towards Amy's head with enough force to threaten to decapitate her. Toshiko Ito was upset, and it only powered her strikes that much more to become positively lethal.

As she expected dodging only gave her a moment of peace, as soon as Toshiko was on her feet she was heading back towards her. Amy couldn't think of anything that would get Toshiko to actually back off, and knew by now that she had to make her stop by hitting her with something she couldn't just get back up for. For a split second a crazy idea crossed her mind, but by this point she had to try anything. Rushing Toshiko as she charged her, Amy would go low and dodge the kick again before getting behind her and pushing her towards the ropes.

She wanted her to bounce off the ropes and come back at Amy but this time Amy would go low and lift Toshiko up, bringing her up and trying to catch her when she came down to go for her Pop-up Powerbomb. Her arms struggled to follow the motion but she had done that move so many times by now that pain wouldn't stop her and if it hit she would fall on Toshiko and pull up a leg to try and end the match here and now.

Toshiko's wild kick had missed, causing the Japanese striker to lose her balance for just a moment in her irritation. When she turned back at Amy, Ito was then shoved right back into the ropes as she groaned. Bouncing her back off of them, she would come right back at Evans. And then, in a moment, she was thrown up into the air, surprised that her blonde opponent even had that much strength left in her still, and she was promptly slammed down with her finisher, the Pop-Up Powerbomb!

Ito's body went limp underneath Evans, closing her eyes tight as her hand went behind her head. Teeth grit in pain underneath her mask, she would feel Amy getting on top of her for the pin!

The Twilight Edge wasn't about to allow herself to be beaten like this, impressively throwing her shoulder up to escape the pinfall from her opponent! Her body rested on its side as she groaned loudly, not quite ready to recover from the maneuver that had taken so much away from her.

Her finisher connecting shocked many due to how sudden it was but Amy didn't waste time taking in the fact it worked, Toshiko moved in too fast and left her open to it and all Amy could do was try to end it off that. She was on Toshiko in a second and pulling in for a pin, one arm pulling her leg up and the other pressing on her head to make sure she stayed down. The ref was equally quick, moving down and starting the count, hitting the first one the moment she could, the count continued and her hand was heading down for the third and final time....right before Toshiko kicked out despite Amy having wasted no time.

When Toshiko's shoulder came up Amy didn't process it for a second, it was rare for one of her biggest moves to fail to end the match. She knew it wasn't because of her hurt arms, she still felt the impact shake the ring. Her best move simply failed to do the job and Amy felt a mix of anger and adrenaline from that. While Toshiko moved to the side Amy sat up and rubbed her arm across her temple, wiping the sweat off her face to stay calm in this moment. Reassuring herself that despite her finisher not ending the match she told herself for once Toshiko wasn't moving after her, for the first time since the match started Amy had an advantage and she had to use it. Grabbing Toshiko she would force her down on her back again before she would throw a punch down into Toshiko's abs, aiming to throw a few punches to keep Toshiko the way she was.

Toshiko Ito was laying on the mat, rattled from that maneuver and holding her arms to her chest, taking shaky breaths as she tried to recover. Her entire body was feeling the aftershocks of that powerbomb, and she had simply tried to survive it and stay in this match. But then she wasn't able to recover too much because Amy was already upon her after her miraculous kickout. She was forced onto her back and then punches kept raining into her shredded abs. She was never one to purposefully try to make herself look good, but her training had simply assured that the abs she had which were being pummeled now were in immaculate condition.

She was gasping and struggling underneath Evans, grunting and gasping with each shot. She didn't have the strength immediately to do something big, but she could recognize the position she was in and how dire it was becoming. With a loud groaning, Toshiko managed to reach up and grab Amy before shoving her off the side as she rolled over onto her front, dislodging the blonde from her. Ito would then press her forehead to the mat as she sucked her knees under her, trying to cover her ailing midsection now and catch her breath. She knew that wouldn't buy her much time, but it at least stopped the assault.

The following punches hit the hard abs of Toshiko and soon had the aggressive assassin gasping for air as Amy quickly showed Toshiko what she could do once she was in control. It was pretty cathartic to finally have her on the ropes for once and she was letting out some anger for her non stop strikes and kicks with a few of those punches to her belly. She might have punched until her arms were sore if Toshiko didn't stop her by grabbing her and actually still being able to toss her back and off her.

"Gnngh.." Amy growled as she was flipped off Toshiko, staying low and turning to her front. Though she could pounce back on Toshiko like Toshiko did to her she would stay back for now. For once she could actually get a break, without Toshiko running after her again to try and knock her out. She would use this time to recover and would wait for Toshiko to start to get up before she moved in on her.

Toshiko would take the time to recover, a little surprised at Amy not coming back at her as she successfully got away from her. Her eyes stayed on Evans, not wanting to be surprised again and knowing the place of her opponent was tantamount to victory. But it looked like Amy was also taking time to recover. Slowly, Ito would start to push off the mat, glaring at Amy as she was down on the mat, taking deeper breaths now despite her battered midsection.

As the Twilight Edge got to her feet, she would go up to Evans as she was downed and then grab her by the head to start pulling her up. As she did so, she would wait until Amy was halfway up before firing a quick knee towards her head. She wanted to rattle Amy before she tried anything more significant that could open her up even more. And she figured another quick strike could do the trick.
