Debutantes No More: Cathy Jefferson vs Katsumi Oshiro

Cathy's eyes roll back in her head briefly then she is dimly aware that someone is tugging her. Is the match over already and are they dragging her away? The cowgirl wrestler's dazed and mightily confused for a moment longer, then she looks up and its like a blurry vision coming towards her at an impossible speed. She barely has time to tense before contact, let alone roll over to protect herself from the devastating impact that comes suddenly.

Bodies meet again with a slap, and Katsumi can feel Cathy's abs cave under her own. It's always a euphoric feeling, soaring through the air and landing across an opponent, taking them out with nothing but your own trim waist. It feels almost primal, savagely dominant. The landing for her is far more pleasant than it had to've been for Cathy, too. And that would be the understatement of the year.

Katsumi shoots a quick look back to Cathy's face, just to make sure she didn't overdo it and cracked a rib or something. Not that she'd be able to do anything about that now, but the concern is still there. The glance is fleeting, however, and she arches her spine inwards, grinding her stomach hard against the countrygirl's. That's kind of a euphoric feeling, too, but a different kind. She props her upper-body with her left elbow, her right hand raising into the air, ready to count off each number in sync with the referee. A brighter, prouder, more exuberant version of the devilishly confident smile she wore to the ring has found its way back onto her face.

The referee-girl, meanwhile, drops beside the two ladies. She raises her hand, and it swings down to slap against the mat.

The audience chants along.

"ONE!"

It feels like the knockout blow as her opponent lands atop the wounded cowgirl, Cathy's abdominals are completely pulverised even before Katsumi begins grinding their stomachs together for good measure. Adding insult to injury, the punk princess has laid the cowgirl out so hard that she doesn't have to bother pinning her anywhere other than across her belly, propping her upper body up on one elbow meanwhile, while the referee-girl counts down the fall.

"TWO!"

"THREE!"

"That's it! It's all over this time for Broncobuster Cathy, folks! The Punk Princess takes the match after a surprise reversal with her trademark Wild Rave move. And - oh boy! - after the beating they've taken, the cowgirl's abs have gotta be hurting for days to come!"

Katsumi's hand bobs in the air in rhythm with the counting, both of the referee and the audience. The feel of impending victory is exhilarating, like a fresh shot of nitro into an engine. And then that third count hits.

*DING* *DING* *DING*

Her hand lowers and she turns her head back to look towards Cathy's face. She lingers across her opponent while the announcer gives their spiel, soaking in the moment of victory, relishing the position of dominance over her. But soon, the referee-girl is urging her to get off of the countrygirl.

Katsumi, for once in her life, complies with the referee without fuss. She shifts into her knees, gives Cathy another look, then raises to her boots. Her wrist is taken, arm pulled into the air. The hand balls into a fist and remains aloft once released, and the Punk Princess steps over Cathy to approach a turnbuckle. Climbing the ropes, she stands with arms outspread, confident smile affixed to her face, soaking in the mixture of cheers and boos.

She hops back down from the corner post and turns to look towards Cathy. She can't help her up. She might want to, but that'd send the wrong message to the audience. It's too early in her LAW career to play fast and loose with her image. So she instead gives a haughty little sniff and slips through the ropes to land outside the ring. She snatches the pink shirt and makes her way up the ramp to the backstage area, hands raised and palms out to either side in acknowledgment of the fans flanking her along the way.

For several moments a confused Cathy Jefferson barely knows what's happening to her: until the *DING* *DING* *DING* of the bell announces that its all over (in this match at any rate). Eventually she feels a warm, sensual weight removing itself from her stomach but keeps her forearm shielding her face, eyes closed for now, not wishing to make eye contact with the woman who's beaten her... just yet.

She hears the crowd cheering as well as booing Oshiro. Ah well, at least she kept a few fans on her side at the end. But, now the adrenalin rush's gone and her opponent's departed the ring already, Cathy feels enormously deflated. This is what defeat tastes like, and the cowgirl wrestler doesn't like it one little bit. But, right now, she has to suck it up as she sits up, shakes her head clear and then retrieves her top from her corner before climbing out of the ring. To rising applause, Cathy Jefferson waves her hand ruefully before making her way up the ramp to the backstage area with head held high, following hot on the heels of her opponent.

Hot on her heels, but hot enough? Katsumi had intentions. Intentions. Nefarious, evil plots that she meant to execute as soon as the opportunity presented itself away from the prying eyes of the audience.

Once behind the curtain, Katsumi trotted her way forward, pushed open her dressing room door, and slipped inside. She tossed the shirt away onto the dresser before her mirror. She wouldn't be needing that for the rest of the night. Besides, she's pretty sweaty. She'd just be ruining a shirt if she pulled it on now. But she waited, keeping tabs on the hallway.

When Cathy comes into range, Katsumi reaches out to snatch at her shoulders and yank her into the room like a trapdoor spider. The idea is to get her out of view of everyone. The audience isn't the only group out there she has to be mindful of her image with. "Hey!"

As Cathy steps behind the curtain she looks for Katsumi. Damn, the punk girl's nowhere in sight - must have dashed off already. The shirt Cathy's holding is still bunched up in her hand and she uses it now to wipe her brow before mopping absent-mindedly at the sweat patch down the front of her wrestling top. As she pulls level with the first dressing room door, it snaps open and firm hands grip her shoulders, yanking her inside. "What-the-fuck?!" Cathy yells angrily, then, more a yelp of surprise: "Osh-Oshiro...it's you?!"

The culprit, none other than the Oshiro in question, offers Cathy a lopsided grin. "Uh-huh." She attempts to nudge the door shut with a foot and tug Cathy more to the side before moving her hands from her shoulder to her waist. Without offering a hint of further explanation, she attempts to push herself into the countrygirl's form, pressing skin to skin with her in a tight, but not excruciating, bearhug.

"Now that we're not trying to kill each other," she muses, "and we're away from the audience'n whatever, thanks for.. what you did. I couldn't really do this out there, because..." She glances towards the door, then back to Cathy. She hopes she gets it. All the while, the tightness of the hug wouldn't relent, maintaining that contact with her.

"Hmmmm, well..." Wincing as her bruised abs absorb the force of Katsumi's hug Cathy processes the surprising turn of events for a brief moment. Her voice is still a little gruff as she finally responds, slowly but thoughtfully. "Although I was goin' all out for that important win... I didn't want to proceed at the risk of really... hurtin' or harming ya..." Then the cowgirl softens a little more, returning the hug with a gentle squeeze of her own. "Seems you're not such a bad sort after all, Kat Oshiro, whatever that funny act is you put on out there in the ring!"

"Oh no," refutes Katsumi with an impish grin. "I'm a total bitch. But I'm not, uh.. heartless, I guess." Her arms tighten a little further around her waist as the hug is returned. It's a natural reaction, she's telling herself. When you're hugged, you hug back. It has nothing to do with the sensation of Cathy's body against hers. "It's just... being unconscious...," she continues, ducking her head towards Cathy's shoulder. "...that freaks me the fuck out. You never know what happens while you're out, you're totally helpless..."

She has no idea why she's giving Cathy potential ammunition to use against her. Maybe she's just trying to fill the void with something, anything, other than saying something stupid.
