LAWLESS: Painting The Town Red

Diana certainly had Viper beat when it came to physical strength - or she would, had she been at her full potential. But the pursuit of many other hopefuls had drained her power, and when Viper came in for the kill, she was powerless to resist. As the green-haired girl threw her arm around her throat, she could feel the life slowly but steadily draining away from her body, which grew heavy in her arms. That was when she knew Diana didn't have a chance of getting away - but even when she was already sure she had this in the bag, she was still happy to add a parting gift to the offer. She looked back over her shoulder to see the referee closing in, and she thought she might as well leave no doubts as to who would reign supreme - by slamming Diana face-first into the wall, feeling the vibrations of the impact reverberate through them!

"You've put up a good enough fight, so far," Viper muttered flatly, "but this is the end of the line for y-" But she was silenced in mid-sentence, as Diana braced her foot against the wall of the subway. Viper's eyes went wide as she saw her target resisting, moments before she kicked off the wall - sending both of them rolling down the stairs! With each step they descended, Viper let out groans and gasps, with every twist and turn bouncing and jostling her. As she reached the bottom, she let go of Diana, sending her rolling aside before she flopped on her back and let out a low, pained moan. It wouldn't be long before she sat back up and shook herself out - she'd been through worse, after all - but it would slow down the inevitable end to Diana's run.

The pair of gals would stumble down the flight of stairs, and at the bottom, along with hitting pavement, would slam into a person walking by, causing her to drop a paper she was reading. She would look over at the pair, glaring at Viper assuming the gal had been the one to cause the fall, and the moment she got up, she would lock her arm and head in a Crossface Chickenwing!

"Watch where you're going ya green haired twig!" Camie would yell, stepping on the paper so it wouldn't go flying away, while also locking in the choke on the gal. Camie, although having technically joined the LAWLESS hunt, didn't want the title at all, grabbing something else for a secrets plan. However Viper and Diana nearly blew her cover, so she was making sure nothing like that would be happening

Diana had caught Viper off-guard when she decided to send the two of them tumbling down the stairs, and now, as she came to at the bottom, the green-haired girl was starting to feel the after-effects. Her head was spinning, and she groaned under her breath as she propped herself up on her elbows and knees. But at least Diana had gone down the stairs, too. If she decided to strike now, she would be just as vulnerable - the Italian was likely still recovering from her own landing, and when Viper had shrugged off worse, all she would have to do was to throw herself down on top of her for the pin. The referee would see everything, and soon, the belt would be hers!

But what Viper hadn't counted on was that, by a sheer stroke of luck, she wasn't the only remaining hopeful with her eyes set on taking home the title. Camie Young was here, too - and just as Viper began to crawl closer to her fallen foe, Camie sprung on her from behind, grabbing her arm and twisting it over her own throat! The motion twisted Viper's back into an arc, her chest rising off the ground. She sputtered and gagged, trying to jerk her body from side to side in an effort to fight off the attack. At the same time, her legs kicked at the air behind her, aiming blindly to strike at her opponent. With her free arm, she reached out toward Diana - she couldn't let go now, when her goals were quite literally just within reach!

Diana had bounced off of every step as painfully as she could. Cuts and bruises galore covered her body by the time she had reached the bottom, though to her luck the former of which weren't to a gory level. Blood wasn't exactly gushing from the Italian, with her body looking more a victim to a hundred paper cuts than anything else. A fitting description given how much pain the Italian was in.

Praying this unnamed attacker fell just as roughly if not more so, Diana's right hand would move though no other part of the Italian would. Pushing as to raise her head just a inch, Diana's gaze landed on a blurry Viper she was confident was closing in for the kill. A violet, vengeful one if that, given Diana had just pushed the would-be champion down the stairs.

And yet, as her vision cleared it became apparent Viper wasn't rearing up a swing nor otherwise. Indeed her arms were flailing, but not in an effort to strike at the Italian. Nay, they were out to save their owner, as Diana's gaze cleared enough to tell her another fighter had entered the fray!

"Fucking...great..." Is all she'd mutter before her head fell back down - knowing full well that her fate was sealed. Unless these two were to fight for a long period of time, Diana simply wouldn't be able to muster the strength to rise and run!

Camie smirked, watching the snake kick and squirm around, she would glance over her shoulder, tightening her grip on the girl, before then rushing back a bit, a few bystanders moving aside. Waiting until the hold had dazed her enough, Camie would lift the gal up, swinging her around. "Have a nice trip!" She would mockingly yell before tossing the green haired girl backwards, looking to literally send her packing on the train!

If it worked, Camie would roll her neck, watching the girl go on a unplanned ride, glancing over at the dazed Diana, noticing the belt. She would walk over, kneeling down at looking at the girl, then to the title.

"Pfft~" She would snicker, grabbing the belt and simply letting Diana keep it, giving it a pat. "Keep your oversized belt buckle. I got bigger fish to fry and frankly I don't need a buncha jobbers trying to slow me down." Camie would mock, picking up her paper and golding it up, simply leaving Diana all alone, along with send viper away. The snake would likely want revenge, but Camie had more important things to do, only time would tell what that would be.

Having Camie on her back was less than ideal, but still bearable. If Viper could fight through the pain, she'd be able to drag herself closer to Diana - and to the belt. Hell, if she got to so much as hold the belt, that would be fine - she could use it to fight off her assailant before she finalized the deal. And, as her fingernails scratched at the hard subway floor, she was just barely away out of range. Letting out a muffled groan from behind her clenched teeth, Viper's eye bulged out of its socket as she tried to reach a little bit further. Just a few more inches, and she'd be there!

But that wasn't happening. Camie had other plans - right as she saw Viper about to grab a hold of the belt, she swung her backward, where there just so happened to be a train waiting to depart. The deathmatch veteran went straight through the open doors, crashing onto the floor behind - and, as she skidded to a halt, the doors closed, and the train took off! Viper slowly rose to a seated position, but there, she could only see Camie and Diana facing each other through the windows as she sped away. She grumbled to herself, still seated on the floor with several confused travelers gawking at her as the train went through a tunnel and the scene outside vanished. This was going to be a setback.

The longer the scuffling went on between the two in Diana's gaze, the more it began to set in just how screwed the Italian was. Nothing short of a train hitting both women would have evened the odds enough for Diana to be able to fight back. And she most certainly could not run - if her right leg wasn't broken from the tumble down the stairs, then damn if it wasn't the nearest thing.

Though, the most curious thing yet perhaps in Diana's career soon occurred; an event so curious that even in her completely exhausted state Diana pushed her left hand to the ground to prop up her upper body. Nay, it wasn't simply the forced-exit of Viper that brought about Diana's completely bewildered state, given that she still had one completely fresh contender standing right before her.

No, it was the fact this figure had just outright verbally stated her lack of interest in taking Diana's belt!

With her mouth near hitting the concrete floor below, Diana didn't know what to make of it. Was this girl out specifically to be Diana's saviour? Did she have previous beef with Viper that could only be settled by costing her what was essentially a free title victory? Or was this all an elaborate ruse, to be broken up by Camie stamping down her boot?

Diana couldn't believe it when it became apparent it wasn't the latter. Not as she was essentially handed the belt, before Camie left the vicinity entirely with nought but a pat to Diana's head. Of course the gal could have just have easily ran back in at any second - adding momentum and then some to her frame before near literally booting the head of the Italian off her shoulders.

Something about the swagger and tone of Camie however, told Diana otherwise. Something told her, that for the moment at least, she was in fact safe...

Raina Jaeger was humming happily as she walked down the stairs of the Japanese subways, preparing to head home from the LAW arena and was quite excited to watch some movies when she got there! Dressed in a revealing pair of black compression short shorts that showed the majority of her toned and muscular legs and a matching black white halter top that showed a lot of her broad shoulders and stomach the woman's physical impressiveness was on full display for all the passers by to see... causing more than one bumps between lookie lous. Of course Raina was well aware of it all and she loved it.

As she looked downed feeling something bump against her sandaled foot however she looked down and saw a hurt woman on the floor! "Whoa dude you ok!?" Raina asked worriedly as she crouched down to check on the similarly sized woman. Something that gave Raina pause. 'Wait a second.' She thought to herself, putting together that the woman on the ground before her was none other than Diana Accera, a champion of LAW! Or more specifically... "Oh... Ohhhhhh." Raina said looking down and seeing the woman clutching the LAWLESS title. Then looking up she saw the ref there looking at her with a 'really?' expression.

Grinning excitedly down at Diana the dark skinned girl would quickly drape herself down on the Italian woman. "Sorry about this." She said not sounding apologetic at all as any notion of helping Diana was suddenly thrown out the window while the ref dropped down and quickly counted the pin. If for no other reason than to get Diana some medical attention.

"ONE! TWO!! THREE!!!"

Just like that Raina Jaeger, only a few months after joining LAW, with hardly any wins became a champion. "WOOHOO! Fat champion checks here I come!" Raina shouted as she stood up, ripping the belt from Diana's grip while giving a pose before looknig side to side, knowing she could be pinned at anytime by anyone for this. 'Time to head home on the double.' Raina thought to herself as she suddenly dashed off, leaving the ref and Diana in her dust as she went to try and make it home before anyone could follow!

Diana needed time. Alot of it. More than she'd ever needed in-ring, which was odd given that in ring, she'd have a foe hot on her heels ready to take the next chance at striking the Italian down. Right now, there wasn't a woman in sight, save for the referee who had taken to idly waiting by the subway wall, leaning upon it with her foot resting. She couldn't help Diana, and nor could she do anything that might hasten up the need for her being there - ala calling attention to the outside world, to incite a fight in which she'd have to officiate.

Though Diana's luck would finally reach its limit, as the referees desire to be needed would be fulfilled.

"Fuck..." Is all the Italian muttered, as with a turn of her head she'd register from attire alone the figure atop her was not of a civilian variety. Nay, be it a woman whom was actively hunting her or otherwise, another wrestler had stumbled upon Diana in the most vulnerable state of her career.

And just like that, snagged the LAWLESS title from the Italian without so much as a strike...
