Meeting in Shadows (For Arjuna)

Teuila smiled at Dana's response to her teasing words. Frankly she was actually pretty certain Dana could do what Teuila just did, though it would have been more work for less reward for her.

Either way the spar was about to heat up once more and rather than say anything in response Teuila would just now with a determined nod to the woman as her response before the woman came charging in!

Eyes widening from the speed Dana did so Teuila would wince in pain as her hand was twisted in a wrist lock! "Ngh!" Grunging softly as she spread her feet a bit Teuila would duck low and twist under the arm, trying to untwist her wrist, and if successful get behind Dana while pulling the older woman's arm up at an attempt for a hammerlock!

Putting Teuila in the wrist lock, Dana was planning to transition it into something else, but Teuila managed to get herself out of it and reversed the move, putting Dana in a hammerlock instead. She grunted as she felt the pressure from the hold.

"Nnghh... n-not bad, dear..." Dana would like to see what Teuila would do next now that she managed to trap her in the hammerlock.

So far Dana managed to retain the lead throughout the spar with her overwhelming power advantage with Teuila only briefly managing to get bursts of offense in. It was what came with the territory of fighting such a larger, stronger and more experienced opponent. Luckily however Teuila's trick worked this time and she was able to catch Dana in the hammerlock! All she had to do now was capitalize...

"Trust me you haven't seen anything yet!" Teuila said eagerly as she kicked her foot out, attempting to strike at the back of her opponent's leg. A move that if successful in bringing Dana to her knees Teuila would follow up with by dropping the hammer lock before turning around to Dana's front, trying to grab her head before falling back for a ddt!

Trapped in the hammerlock, Dana was waiting for Teuila's next move. Sure enough, her protégé decided to target her leg, causing Dana to lose her footing, making her fall onto her knee. Then, Teuila released her from the hammerlock before she went to grab her by her head. Realizing what Teuila was about to do, Dana would brace herself before she was brought down onto the mat with a DDT!

"NNGHH!!"

Dana groaned as her head hit the mat. This left her disoriented. For the time being, she was exposed to more attacks from Teuila.

Success! Despite the pitfalls Teuila had fallen into earlier in the match she was now finally managing to get some hits in against Dana and after that ddt she was now in a position to really show what she had learned with Camie's assistance. "Get ready Dana, cause that wasn't even close to everything!" Teuila said sa she got back up to her feet and took advantage of the positioning from her ddt.

Reaching down to try and grab onto her opponent's legs Teuila aimed to cross the woman's legs against each other before attempting to step backwards for a Texas Cloverleaf submission hold!

Dana's head throbbed from being taken down by Teuila's DDT earlier. As she was still recovering, her protégé decided to make use of her position to put her into a Texas cloverleaf submission hold! Dana's eyes widened as she was put through such a painful hold.

"AAHHHN!!"

Dana cried out. Due to her still recovering from the DDT earlier, she couldn't immediately move herself towards the ropes, so she would remain there for the time being, having to endure the submission hold from Teuila.

Teuila had done it. She had gotten a decisive advantage over Dana and was even making her teacher scream in pain from the hold she had her in! Which in hindsight felt weird to say, but she would gladly take it! The only issue however was the fact that that Dana had THICK legs and was significantly bigger and stronger than her. Even if she had the woman trapped and screaming in pain Teuila's arms were started to grow sore from holding onto the woman's limbs.

'Dang it... Gonna have to let go soon.' Teuila thought to herself as she held on desperately. Still though... even knowing how difficult the hold was Teuila would make one last effort to make Dana tap...

"HAGHHHH!" Roaring with effort and determination Teuila would lean even further back, trying to add as much pain as possible to her hold before she was unable to hold it any longer!

Still trapped in the Texas cloverleaf submission hold, Dana quickly regained her bearing and thought of what to do. She sensed that Teuila might not be able to maintain the hold for long, and she was banking on that to prevent herself from tapping to her. So, with a grunt, she started dragging herself towards the ropes, making it difficult for Teuila to maintain the hold.

Of course, she could simply tap out to Teuila, with this being a sparring bout instead of a real match in the ring, but she thought it would be too early for her to tap out, so she would continue fighting back, not showing any sign of submitting to her protégé.

Teuila grunted and growled softly as she maintained the submission hold on her teacher, trying to secure a submission victory on her. But that was easier said than done. After all Dana was much bigger and stronger than Teuila and much of this hold was focused on the lower half of the body, leaving Dana's torso and arms free for the woman to crawl her way towards the ropes!

'Dang it!' Teuila thought to herself, not being strong enough to both maintain the hold and stop her opponent from crawling to freedom. So instead the Samoan just maintained the hold up until the woman managed to grab onto the bottom rope, in which case Teuila would drop her opponent's legs and stumble forward, panting softly from exertion of holding on for so long, and unintentionally giving Dana a opportunity to strike back if she got up anytime soon.

Eventually, Dana reached the ropes, and she held onto the bottom rope, getting Teuila to release her from the hold. Huffing, Dana pulled herself back up with the help of the ropes, and then turned around to look at her protégé. Seeing that Teuila stumbling forward after releasing her from the Texas cloverleaf, Dana would try to use this opportunity to launch an attack from behind.

Making use of the ropes as a catapult, Dana launched herself towards Teuila and made use of her momentum to try hitting her from behind with a shoulder block, ramming her shoulder right at her back, looking to knock the younger woman down with her momentum. From there, Dana could come up with more plans afterwards.
