Rookie Challenge: Hikari Morizumi vs Valkyrie

' I don't need you mom right now... So why are you coming to the ring with me huh?.' Hikari would say frowning as her mother is standing right beside her backstage, but her mother waves her daughter's anger aside... She is going out to watch and study a new rookie wrestler who has been hand-picked by the company to scout for a future contract.

But the higher-ups have given Osamu free reign of what she can do to Valkyrie, even picking the matches for the woman to test if she can handle the wrestling business.

Music plays over the speakers as both mother and daughter make their way out on stage, Hikari still frowning on their way down the ramp and to the ring as her mother takes a seat on the announcer's desk. 'Fine no pressure I just win in front of you mom and everybody will see that I am the top new rookie in LAW.'

[Valkyrie]

Valkyrie’s theme song played up as she made her way to the LAW stage. She was ready to make her debut as a young lioness in the rookie program. She came to LAW with very high expectations and a heart full of dreams. Her opponent tonight was certainly going to put her to the test, given the size and weight difference between the two. Yet, Valkyrie wasn’t scared. Instead, she was hyped about it. Overcoming the odds and proving her doubters wrong was what she was all about. And what better way to debut than to do what you are meant to do?

Valkyrie walked down the ramp and quickly climbed the top turnbuckle. She slid inside the squared circle rocking her default attire made of leather and colored patterns, along with black boots and knee pads. She looked over to Hikari, noticed the height difference and nodded slightly in silence. She then turned her attention to her mother, LAW trainer and special observer for the Young Lionesses program. She was being watched and tested to her limits, but she was ready to give it her all.

Valkyrie signaled the time keeper to get the match starting before closing in to Hikari in the middle of the ring. She extended her arm and opened her hand, looking for a handshake. “May the best woman win!” She said as a way to get her LAW adventure started. She was ready and willing to go all out on her debut.

Osamu would look on at the young woman she is to be watching and grading on tonight's match. Eyeing the young woman up and down with her arms crossed seeing that the woman has the look of a baby face wrestler in the program, but something in her mind just doesn't feel right with her when looking at the smaller woman who is tiny than some of the other girls in the program but size does mean that she might fight as harder than the others to put on a good show.

As she nods her head to the ref to ring the bell and start the match between her daughter and Valkyrie.

Meanwhile, back inside the ring... Hikari has a frown on her face seeing the woman that her mother is scouting for future contract and she is not happy about it. 'Really this tooth pick right here is being scouted by my mom....' Hikari would think to herself as the bell was rung and her opponent makes her way over to the middle of the ring, holding out her hand.

'Yea, the best woman is going to be me, got it?' Hikari would smack the smaller woman's hand aside, showing bad sportsmanship. But since the match had already started and not wanting to allow Valkyrie to make the first move... she would raise her arm and go for a clothesline to knock her opponent down to the canvas.

Valkyrie couldn’t help but notice the curious eyes of the LAW trainer at ringside. She was there to do some scouting and scouting her was effectively what she was doing. Valkyrie felt like she was being watched and evaluated. Once again, instead of feeling the pressure, this made her feel ever more enthusiastic for the opportunity. She wanted to make a good first impression and the attention she was receiving was nothing but an incentive for Valkyrie to give it her very best shot.

However, her initial hopes suddenly took a turn for the worse as her opponent abruptly and unexpectedly rejected her handshake. Hikari shoved her hands back and Valkyrie was stunned and flabbergasted. She was not expecting such a show of poor sportsmanship… and it didn’t end there. Hikari charged in for a vicious clothesline and completely rammed over Valkyrie who fell down on the canvas hard, being almost decapitated by the incredibly strong arm of her opponent. The message was sent loud and clear. Hikari was not messing around and Valkyrie was in for a world of hurt.

The young lioness from Finland sit up immediately after the hit, shaking her head a little and favoring her neck, trying to get her bearings back quick enough. She tried to quickly roll out of harm’s way and get herself to the corner, to then use the ropes as leverage to straighten herself up with her back pressed against the soft buckle pads. She was still clearly stunned which allowed her opponent to follow up and capitalize on the cheap shot however, despite the little separation she had built between the two.

Hikari can almost feel the look of disappointment on her mother's face right now. But she is tired of losing so many times and it seems like she isn't making any progress at all, with each defeat to her name looking worse and worse for the cocky rookie wrestler who comes a famous parent who is still a big thing in the company right now and yet she just keeps losing.

Not wanting Valkyrie to escape and not wanting to lose her advantage after striking her opponent... Hikari would chase after her opponent and seeing that she had backed herself up into the corner just made it all the easier for the younger woman to press her advantage even more.

As Hikari would slam right into her opponent's chest with a jumping body splash right into the corner, pinning the smaller Valkyrie, which will allow her to throw some corner punches right at the blond woman's face. The crowd is split since both women are baby faces, but Hikari is wrestling a more aggressive style compared to how she usually wrestlers in the past. 'Not so tough now are you huh?' taunting her opponent now as she feels that she is in control of the match already.

Hikari wasn’t messing around and Valkyrie noticed it right away. A strong clothesline sent her ass down to the canvas hard and then, even though she tried her best to create some sort of separation between the two, her opponent was smart enough to not allow that to happen. Hikari waited just long enough for Valkyrie to straighten herself up in the corner before charging in and completely squash her against the turn buckle pads with all of her weight.

Valkyrie collapsed and sit her ass down on the first buckle pad. Unfortunately for her, Hikari wasn’t done yet and she started clubbing away at the high flying baby-face with a series of hard hitting blows. Valkyrie got her hands up and around her head to try and prevent some damage but Hikari was all over her in the corner. “I need to get away from here…” Valkyrie muttered to herself as the hard hitting blows were colliding against her forearms which she was holding up high in front of her face and forehead.

Just like that, Valkyrie tried to slip away by crawling right under Hikari’s crotch. A bold move one would say, however it was made possible by the significant size difference between the two. If successful, Valkyrie would then start running in the opposite direction and trying to get to the ropes… only to then bounce back and charge right back in. Her goal was to catch Hikari off guard with a running drop kick and let her know that she was not going down without a fight!

Hikari was taking it to the scrappy blonde in front of her. But every blow that she threw at the smaller blond would be blocked due to Valkyrie getting her arms up to block some of them, she wants to beat the fight out of her opponent and making sure that her mother watches it happen as to prove a point that the woman in front of her doesn't belong in the ring.

But just when it seems that she was about to land another blow onto her opponent's face... the other woman was able to slide in between her legs and get away from being pinned in the corner at the last minute, and already plotting her next move to get revenge for the earlier beating and bad sport that Hikari shown her.

'Hey get back here...UUUGHHH' the taller girl would cry out. As she turned around and takes a drop kick to the chest, but it slams her back first into the corner buckle before falling onto her backside dazed and stunned at the moment, since she thought the match was going to be nothing more than a one sided beat down and yet Valkyrie is going after her and has her on the back foot now.

Valkyrie managed to land that drop kick quite nicely and effectively stunned Hikari back to the corner. The big powerhouse fell on her ass a Valkyrie bounced off the mat and got back to her feet right away. Sure that initial clothesline and subsequent body splash got her stunned but the match had barely started and she was far from being worn out. She glared at her opponent and noticed she was just sitting there stunned… it was time for a follow up.

Valkyrie ran right back towards the opposite and corner and then charged in once more, this time trying to get her knees up and catch Hikari with a running meteora in the corner. This move was done by clutching both of her knees and effectively splashing against her opponent’s face in the corner just like that. Hikari would have surely felt the effect of the move had it been connected successfully.

“I can’t stop here, I need to press the advantage!” If everything worked as intended, Valkyrie would then drag Hikari just a little by her feet to get her out of the corner a little. Obviously the weight difference prevented her from dragging her opponent all the way towards the middle of the ring, but just a little drag would suffice. She needed enough space for the high flying move she was about pull off.. in fact she quickly hopped off the top turnbuckle and as the crowd roared in anticipation, she flew in the air for an extremely dangerous Swanton Bomb…

Stunned, sitting in the corner with her back against the turnbuckle. Hikari was not expecting her opponent to try so hard and impress her mother like how Valkyrie is doing right now, But that was all the time her opponent needed to go on the offense and make her move by slamming both of her needs into Hikari face knocking her for a loop a bit.

Letting out a groan from taking the double knees to the face just leaves her slouched in the corner... all before Valkyrie drags her by her legs away from the corner giving her time to take to the air and go for a high-risk move this early in the match.

Hikari though knew what was coming as soon as she saw her opponent hop up to the top rope, and as soon as she spotted Valkyrie in the air is the moment she got her knees up so that the other woman would crash right across them back first. If her plan worked out like she wanted it to... she would get to her feet and in a show of strength pick up her down opponent by the mid-section and slams her across her knee with a back breaker, before repeating it again for good measure to weaken the other woman hurting back.

They say high risk maneuvers are… well high risk. Sometimes they pay off, sometimes they don’t pay off at all. One way or another, they can decide a match based on whether or not they connect and how effectively they do. In the case of Valkyrie, that top rope dive did not go as planned at all. Hikari was able to lift her strong, muscular knees up and Valkyrie felt right on top of them, back first. She rolled out of the way, screaming in pain and favoring her back. That was definitely going to be a turning point of the match.

Hikari knew Valkyrie was hurt and immediately went after her. Having a possible back injury against a strong powerhouse who had an arsenal of back wrenching moves was definitely going to make the match a hell of a lot more difficult for Valkyrie. While Hikari was a baby-face, she wanted to win to the point she was willing to exploit the injury if that meant winning this match. So she picked Valkyrie right up and sent her crashing down on the tree trunk knee in a very dominant backbreaker. Valkyrie grunted in pain as her spine was hurt. Hikari sensed her opponent was in trouble and doubled down on the torture, by delivering another spine bending backbreaker.

Valkyrie dropped down to the canvas and rolled out of the way, trying to get some separation between her and her opponent. The referee asked her if she wanted to continue and she nodded her head yes. However that match had just become an incredibly high mountain to climb for her.
