Saltwater Showdown!!!: Akari Ito vs Gawr Gura

Akari climbs up the ropes, pulling herself up and getting to her feet as she lets out a pained wince, clutching and nursing her backside after the mighty Michinoku Driver she just ate and powered through. Her legs felt like jelly as she could barely keep herself up. In general, her body as a whole wasn't just feeling pain, but it also felt out-of-sync as she stumbled into a corner.

She tried to keep still as her head ached, trying to stay conscious and focused as her blurry vision slowly focused and homed in on the blurry figure that was Gura's body who was getting up a few feet away from her. Akari let out a series of soft yet ragged pants, trying to draw air back into her lungs the whole time Gura stood back up.

Gura rolled back and got up but not much far from her opponent, she would pant and breathe for a quick recover at the same time Akari does, before keeping up with the match, she wanted to make sure this time to win the 3rd fall and to go ahead on the score.

Once she did enough, the shark walked towards the corner where she actually was after stepping back and started delivering some forearm strikes to the face, then she would throw her to the opposite corner and takes some seconds for another panting. After few seconds, Gura runs at her and attempts a corner clothesline against Akari.

Akari tried to move and dodge away from those hard-hitting strikes, but she was too exhausted to do so. Each hit she took woke her up from the sudden impact, then came the rest of the pain which felt like it was about to knock her out and make her collapse. Still, she stood and weathered the storm as grunts and groans escaped her lips while spit flew from her mouth as her head was rocked from side to side by those Forearm Strikes.

She was then tossed into the other corner, hitting it chest first and letting out a pained yelp before weakly turning around, barely standing up. The moment she turned around though, she was met with a HARSH clothesline that put her into quite the daze as her legs gave out and she was left sitting on her ass.

After that huge clothesline delivered to Akari in the corner, Gura hanged herself over the top rope while barely seeing how she fell sitting there, she also started looking a bit tired after all both of them went through, but the worse thought in her mind that after this round there still were two rounds left.

At that moment, Gura had an idea... She wasn't sure at all because what she was thinking would be very risky for both of them... But it didn't stopped her from trying. The shark picks Akari up by the neck with both arms, then she lifts the turtle up to sit her over the upper turnbuckle and gives some strikes to her gut at first. Few seconds later, Gura climbs the first turnbuckle and delivers few more strikes but at the head before going up to the upper one.

Once the shark climbed the upper turnbuckle with her opponent standing on both feet in the same spot, she would turn around as giving the back to Akari and place her arm around her head as the audience got crazy, and she would attempt an Avalanche Stunner against the turtle.

Akari was brought up by the neck, gagging and choking for a moment as her eyes went hazy. She was sat atop the turnbuckle and immediately punched in the gut a few times, coughing out as she awoke with a startling spew of spittle during her fit of coughs. She saw Gura climb up and prepare to attack her. She lifted an arm up to block the punch, gripping Gura by the wrist in order to surprise her. If Gura was taken by surprise, the Sea Turtle would proceed with her hasty and impromptu counter by going for a quick knee to Gura's chin in order to knock her head around and daze her.

With any luck, Gura would be partially stunned and knocked down to the canvas off the first turnbuckle...Akari would slide herself down to the middle rope and keep her balance...waiting for Gura to turn away so she could quickly leap forward and try to NAIL Gura with a Front Flip Cutter off the Second Rope!!!

Gura was ready to go for the Avalanche Stunner, but gets surprised after feeling her waist grabbed by her opponent, gets caught off by a knee strike at her chin and gets dazed, going down to the first turnbuckle but still standing.

After the knee, it was clear that Gura didn't fell from the corner but at the same time she was dazed and with the vision a bit blurry when she opened her eyes, what she saw next was at Akari wrapping her head with the right arm.

The Shark was too dazed to even try a counter move. Once the turtle jumped from there and delivered the Cutter, Gura fell harder against the mat. She stood over her own knees for a while and then she landed on her back, almost done after that brutal counter.

Akari hit the canvas roughly from the middle rope, slamming against the ground on her back and letting out a pained yelp as she choked back the tears. She struggled to move but she still manage to roll over and cover Gura with her body, laying her head on Gura's abdomen, blushing a tad but focusing on keeping her covered as the referee comes in and makes the count.

That cutter from the corner to the canvas really made Gura fell harder on her face, at the point of being seemingly unconscious. She was barely able to move due to the gravity and impact of that risky move. Gura was really down while she got covered by her opponent as the ref started the count up to 2.

"3!"

Everyone expected Gura to kick out of that, but she couldn't react in time for another miraculous kickout spot in the 3rd round like Akari did, thing which makes the score getting on disadvantage for Gura, who was breathing heavily with both of her eyes really closed. For now, the result is against the shark with a 2-1.

Akari let out several coughs and pants, sweating bullets as she laid on top of Gura, needing to rest for a moment and taking her chances while remaining on top of her, but not fully covering her. Her eyes glance over at Gura, whose eyes were closed. Akari gives her a slight smile as she breathes. She checks on her opponent, making sure she's okay...they're still in the middle of a match but, this has taken a lot out of the both of them...to say they're both feeling pretty worn out would be an understatement, they've both fought this out and fought their hardest, giving more than one-hundred percent the entire time.

"I don't know if you can hear me yet but...Just so you know...I think you're an amazing fighter, Gura." She whispered. "...thanks for being my opponent, this has been...fun." She said, rolling off and getting to her feet, having recovered enough after her little show of respect toward Gura as she whispered to the 'Shark' while they were both down on the canvas.
