Wyvern (D) vs. Alizeh Mirdori

As she settled back against the ropes, Wyvern's breathing began to slow down and steady itself. Even a few moments of reprieve could make a huge difference, and with Wyvern's tremendous endurance she was far from spent entirely. The pain doesn't disappear, exactly, but as Wyvern's awareness fully returns to her surroundings, any distraction from it falls away. Pain was pain, but it didn't matter now. Instead, Wyvern turned her focus back to the rest of the ring, seeking out her opponent so that she wouldn't risk being taken by surprise.

After a few moments of searching, Wyvern identified Alizeh's location on the opposite side of the ring, having done the exact same thing she had in the other direction. Seeing her opponent finish climbing and smile, Wyvern returns the expression with one of her own. Whatever the audience thought, they'd been on the same page since the first exchange of the match had finished. Past the noise of the crowd, the pain of their bodies, and the thrill of victory or frustration of defeat, was the sheer joy of the fight, the need to release everything they had to have any chance of grasping victory. This was why they were here. This is what they wanted. An even match that was worth fighting, win or lose. Sometimes Wyvern thought she didn't care about winning or losing, but it was times like this that put the lie to that thought; she just didn't care against an unsatisfying opponent. Alizeh had taken everything she'd thrown out and then some without giving up and with enough strength to kick out of the Manticore Suplex. In fact, she was already charging across the arena and taking the fight to Wyvern!

Shit! It's a sign of the toll the battle had already taken on Wyvern that she didn't respond by attempting to counter attack or power through the flying knee. While an insane and self-destructive approach to the situation, that effectively made it Wyvern's default response, and her propensity to take such approaches combined with her natural toughness had done well for her in previous matches. Alizeh, however, wasn't far behind Wyvern in her durability, and relying on that for an advantage was clearly not going to get her far. She had proven she could out-strike the other wrestler, she just needed to avoid taking unnecessary damage as she continued to do so. Thus, instead of her usual aggression, Wyvern responds to Alizeh's jumping strike by just ducking, at the same time dragging the bottom rope lower in an attempt to send her opponent all the way over the ropes and onto the outside!

Alizeh had gotten really into this match, this brawl, it was firing her up intensely and making her want to do whatever it took to win against her opponent. If for no other reason than to prove that she was the tougher between them. Records, titles, opportunities or whatever else be damned, this was all about who could dish out more until the other couldn't take it anymore! So as she charged at Wyvern Alizeh ignored all the lingering pain throughout her body and muscles, the pain in her system only acting as a fuel for Alizeh, nitrous if you will that was pushing her to hit her top speed before leaping at Wyvern, trying to throw her leg out for a flying knee strike to the woman's chest.

But it appeared Alizeh had underestimated the state of her opponent. Given how exhausted and burned out the woman appeared to be, as well as the overall slower speed she displayed throughout the match Alizeh had thought she would be able to smash into her no problem at all. This wasn't to be the case however though. Before Alizeh could make impact her opponent was quick to duck down low and pull the ropes with her causing Alizeh's eyes to widen in response at how bad this could be. "Whoa!" Alizeh shouted out, nearly falling out of the ring. Key word being nearly. At the last minute Alizeh had managed to bring her arms up, just managing to grab the middle ropes above her as she did. As a result though the green haired girl's lower half was hanging out of the ring, while her torso was just inside right beneath the ropes. A precarious position, especially with an opponent like Wyvern above her!

As Alizeh closed in, she could see the smile on Wyvern's face turn predatory at the last second, the only warning she got before Wyvern attempted to turn the tables, dropping the ropes after Alizeh had left the ground and could no longer change direction. While outright dodging certainly wasn't one of Wyvern's usual tactics, Alizeh's flying knee made it a very appropriate response to the situation. Wyvern's unorthodox tactics came from experience and tailoring her approaches to her personal capabilities, not an outright contempt for the concept of convention. All told, sometimes, it was good to stick to the basics.

While Alizeh is skilled enough to avoid being thrown out of the ring entirely, the exchange leaves her hung in a vulnerable position, and one that Wyvern is quick to exploit. Momentarily stuck, Alizeh could see that same leering grin directed down at her mere inches from her face as Wyvern had yet to return to her feet, and had put the two nearly nose to nose, close enough to each other's breaths. "Might've been better to just keep going." As she said that, Wyvern stopped holding down the ropes, repositioning herself and actively jumping upwards. Using her hold to gain extra leverage for height as she leapt into the air. At the apex of her jump, she curls her right leg inward and descends, aiming a high knee drop right at Alizeh's face!

Alizeh had leaped up, going high to try and deliver a massive running knee strike into what she thought would be an opponent to slow to dodge. What she got instead was a extra wide gap in the ropes that nearly saw her go completely outside the ring from her own momentum! Luckily she managed to avoid such crash by grabbing onto the ropes to halt her momentum. However... as she was soon coming to learn that... was only a very temporary solution, one that her opponent was keen to try and turn to her favor against the green haired girl.

Blinking softly as she saw the amber eyes of her opponent boring into her own Alizeh felt the warm, uneven breath of Wyvern hitting her face and vice versa most likely happening as well in turn to the girl. 'Was that a... quip?' Alizeh asked herself in surprise, Wyvern's silence throughout the match quickly becoming a staple, but the words weren't unwelcome. What was unwelcome though was the woman leaping into the air right above her, no doubt to drop down like a guillotine! "Nope!" Speaking quickly in response as she Wyvern jumping up Alizeh would let go of the ropes and turn on her side, falling the rest of the way out of the ring and to her feet very narrowly escape Wyvern's attack!

When Wyvern had taken to the air with her knee drop, she had fully expected Alizeh to dodge rather than be hit by it. With this in mind, she hadn't fully committed to the positioning necessary for the move, and was able to adjust so that she lands on her feet rather than slamming her knee straight onto the ground. Keeping hold of the top rope as she lands in a crouch, Wyvern swivels her head to the side to look at Alizeh. The smile from earlier has faded again, leaving behind the intense, analytical stare that is one of Wyvern's two apparent facial expressions. After meeting Alizeh's gaze, Wyvern's eyes flick left and right, checking the ringside area for obstructions and getting a grip on the exact size and space of the area relative to her position.

"All right."

After this brief pause, Wyvern once again used the ropes to add height as she leapt into the air a second time. With this jump, she cleared the ropes entirely, flipping herself over the top rope with a corkscrew motion and letting go to fall the entire distance down to the floor. Wyvern lands heavily in a three-point stance, an impact that couldn't have been painless but certainly looked impressive visually. Was she trying to show off? In any case, it likely wasn't a terribly good idea to exit the ring that way, as absorbing the landing will delay Wyvern's ability to act in front of an opponent with no such limitations.

Landing safely outside the ring Alizhe took a few steps back instinctively as a safety precaution in case Wyvern went for a immediate chase to the outside. Looking up immediately at her opponent to keep track of the woman Alizeh couldn't help but smile softly, even as she was met with the once again ice cold expression of Wyvern. The girl was smart enough to adjust her position in expectation of a dodge. A move needed to be done on the fly, something that impressed Alizeh greatly hence the smile being present on her face despite the massive hit she she had just narrowly avoided taking. But if she was impressed before she'd be practically amazed in a second.

Eyes widening as she saw Wyvern leap out of the ring and land safely onto the floor below Alizeh's smile would get just a bit wider as she looked Wyvern from head to toe. "First quips and now a little bit of high flying? You are full of surprises." Alizeh said as she waited for Wyvern to compose herself. Sure she could have struck while the woman needed a second to adjust from the landing, a grace Wyvern had earned from Alizeh. Of course the moment she was good... Alizeh would immediately turn in place, looking to deliver a spinning back fist towards Wyvern's jaw.

Although the leap itself was surprisingly graceful, Wyvern still hit the ground rather heavily even if she did manage to stay on her feet. Ow. Why did I do that? She initially looked up to meet Alizeh's eyes, but at the other wrestler's comment on the flashy nature of her recent actions, a faint tint of pink emerged on her pale cheeks, and she looked at the ground. Did I? Was I...? She shook her head. Focus. No more showboating. When Wyvern looked back up Alizeh, all trace of embarrassment had disappeared from her face, which had returned to its neutral state. Chose not to attack. Odd. Reciprocation for earlier? Irrelevant. Recovering from her initial surprise, Wyvern slowly rose up to her feet, placing her free hand on her knee for extra support as she did so.

Once she's fully up, Wyvern begins to move forward to square up with Alizeh, but the sudden explosion of speed as the Texan wrestler unloads a powerful spinning backfist allows her to catch Wyvern before she can fully react. The blow crashes into Wyvern's jaw, snapping her head to the side and sending her reeling. The familiar taste of blood on her tongue sharpens Wyvern back up, and instead of pulling back to recover, she instead rolls with the hit, rotating to strike back at Alizeh with a discus back elbow aimed at her face. Unfortunately for Wyvern, while the strike is still quite powerful, not being fully prepared to receive the initial backfist meant that she wasn't able to properly make use of the momentum, and as a result her attack is quite a bit slower than her usual, lightning-fast strikes.

War was being waged right now by Alizeh and Wyvern as the two exchanged blows, now even outside the ring. Out here things were rougher, harder... freer. There would be lots, and lots more ways for the two to hurt each other with the various objects and surfaces there were to work with. Already a few ideas were coming to Alizeh's brain. However being on the outside came with its own set of issues. Primarily a time constraint with the ref already starting the count. 'Gotta make this fast or we could both get screwed.' Alizeh thought to herself as turned and unloaded her spinning back fist against Wyvern.

Naturally however it didn't drop the woman down. Wyvern was too tough to be brought down so easily, a fact Alizeh had already grown accustomed to over the course of the match. But that meant that she would have to be as hard hitting as she was fast with her attack. Having already stopped the motion from her spinning back first Alizeh saw Wyvern turning as well, likely to do something similar. Rather than allow herself to take it however Alizeh would drop down low, aiming to let her opponent's arm fly overhead. If she was successful in doing so than Alizeh would charge forward, looking to pushed herself head and shoulder first into Wyvern's stomach to push her back as fast as possible to slam her opponent back first into the ring apron!

Fewer limitations, more ways to hurt and be hurt, more ways to weaponize the surroundings against your opponent. The outside of the ring was, in many ways, a more comfortable area to fight in for Wyvern than the inside, all legality aside. The extra element of danger played well into her skill set, and the extra opportunities for brutality had never been something she'd hesitated to take advantage of. This particular instance of brawling outside the ring, however, was going less than ideally for her. Disrupted by Alizeh's punch, Wyvern missed her retaliation strike thanks to a quick dodge by her opponent. Damn. Should have gone defensive. Even as she's acknowledging her mistake internally, Wyvern is knocked backwards by Alizeh's follow-up charge, impacting her spine against the ring apron.

"Heuk...rrrrrrrgh..."

An involuntary noise of discomfort as the wind was blown from her lungs quickly turned into a growl as Wyvern pushed through the pain in her spine. Far faster than her previous attack, Wyvern makes use of the pressure from both side suspending her in the air and attempts to wrap both of her legs around Alizeh's torso, trying to lock in a body scissor. At the same time, she begins raining down vertical elbow strikes at Alizeh's back, attempting to deliver powerful blows to her opponent's ribs and spine.

So far Alizeh's plan for the outside had been fairly successful. Managing to take control early with a spinning back fist Alizeh proceeded to dodge Wyvern's retaliation shot with relative ease. Well relative being an operative word. Keeping up with Wyvern was no easy task, and quite frankly the woman's method of exiting the ring had been a major boon for Alizeh and her bid to take control of the match, had it not been for that and if she was 100 percent out here from the get go... who knows how that would have gone.

In any case however Alizeh managed to follow her strike and quick evasion to plow into her opponent and send her crashing back first into the mat with no shortage of pain there! Although Alizeh being so close to Wyvern's mouth was the first to hear her growl of dissention. 'Uh oh.' Alizeh thought before feeling the woman's legs wrap around her waist! "Ugn!" Groaning softly in pain Alizeh had to lean forward against Wyvern in order to not fall down. Unknowingly though she had set herself perfectly for Wyvern's secondary attack, elbows into the back! "Aghhh!" Screaming in pain as the elbows rained down Alizeh knew she had to do something and quick.

So grabbing onto the hem of Wyvern's pants with one hand and her thigh with the other Alizeh would step back... before stepping forward. Driving her opponent's spine into the edge of the ring. Something she'd do again, again... and again. Gritting her teeth all throughout the process given the elbows firing into her back Alizeh was looking to loosen Wyvern's legs around her waist a bit, not get them off completely... just loosen them as well as putting a stall on the elbows. If she was successful in doing so Alizeh would reach up with her free arm, trying to wrap her arm around the woman's head to pull it down under her arm and if she was successful Alizeh would throw herself back, trying to spike Wyvern with a makeshift cradle ddt on the outside!
