Wyvern (D) vs. Alizeh Mirdori

Enjoying herself immensely, Wyvern squared herself up, solidified her stance, and controlled her breathing even as she invited Alizeh to strike a third time, locking her jaw shut to complete her preparations. Despite her toughness and general personality, she actually didn't have much experience with these types of back and forth contests, as her previous opponents had rarely been willing to match themselves up with her in such a direct way. As Alizeh spins, the entire stadium falls silent, the audience eagerly waiting to hear just how hard the impacts in the ring were. Wyvern just waits, keeping her eyes on Alizeh's hand as it speeds towards her, landing with an echoing crack that fills the stadium followed by a wave of cheers and applause from the crowd.

"Kchhhhhhhhhh...gah...ha..."

As Alizeh's spinning chop landed, an involuntary exclamation of pain breaks through Wyvern's clenched teeth, followed by a gasping breath as she recovers the air knocked out of her chest by the blow. The pain was moving from stinging to burning, throbbing with every beat of her heart. Against her pale skin, the growing welt from the repeated strikes was far more visible than it was on her opponent, an angry scarlet patch that covered much of her sternum and collarbone where they were visible around her top. For a moment, Wyvern seemed to waver, swaying on her feet slightly, but after a moment she recovers herself and shifts her stance. Moving one foot back, Wyvern lifts her arm over her head, bending her torso back to stretch farther and bending her elbow as deeply as it will go, her hand disappearing behind her at the furthest extent of the windup. Finally, she whips her entire body around to deliver the strike, bringing her hand down with all of the force she can muster. Unlike the previous, rising strikes, this time Wyvern aims a a guillotine-like Kesagiri Chop directly at Alizeh's collarbone!

There it was. With a thunderous third chop across Wyvern's collar bone Alizeh for the first time in the match had earned a cry of pain from her opponent. Not a hiss, or a grunt, but an actual sound of legitimate pain that managed to break through the tight lips of her opponent's mouth. That alone was a victory in of itself for Alizeh given the process this match had gone in so far. In spite of such a breakthrough moment though it wasn't quite enough to bring the dark haired woman down for good, even with everything she had behind it Wyvern could still hang on. Now it was time for Alizeh to do the same and try to hang in there. Key word being try.

Seeing the arm of the woman across from her rise up Alizeh would take the chance to prepare herself once more. Gritting her teeth and tightening her fists tightly Alizeh jutted her chest out, practically inviting the woman to lay a blow in. All while tensing her chest and bracing herself as much as possible as she readied herself for what was about to come. Tensing her legs as well as her chest Alizeh watched as with each passing second Wyvern's hand rose higher and higher until it disappeared at some point, the anticipation taking hold as she waited until finally, the metaphorical beat dropped and Wyvern swung herself down, bringing an absolutely hellish final chop to Alizeh's chest. Final in the sense that almost immediately after it connected it got a big reaction, both from Alizeh and the crowd as well.

"Aghhhhh!" Screaming in pain from the impact Alizeh's legs almost instantly gave out on her and she collapsed onto her knees. Leaning forward Alizeh gasped breathlessly, one hand holding her now extremely red and tender chest, the other going out and grabbing onto Wyvern's leg to hold herself up as Alizeh tried to get herself together following the loss in the impromptu chop battle between herself and Wyvern!

The finishing chop Wyvern landed was a move she had practiced, but never had cause to use before. Although generally impractical unless the opponent was letting her use it, it was far and away the most powerful variant of the move she had in her arsenal in terms of raw force. As the crushing blow strikes Alizeh, Wyvern too experiences a searing flash of pain, through her hand, momentarily drowning out the world around her. Were it not for her intense training and knowledge of proper execution, a blow of this force could have snapped her metacarpal like a twig. Even with that, it hurt like hell, especially after the last two brutal hits she had dealt out. Can't keep this up. Hand'll break. Working her fingers to try to ease some of the pain, Wyvern recovered enough from her own move's backlash to actually check her surroundings. It's then that she truly notices the outcome of her strike, feeling a hand grasping at her leg and looking down to see Alizeh finally brought to her knees. She took grim satisfaction in having won the exchange, gazing with outward impassivity at Alizeh as the other wrestler struggled to stay upright.

After a few moments of recovery taken more for her own sake than to show any kind of mercy, Wyvern reached down, intending to grab Alizeh by one of the straps of her top and haul her none too gently to her feet before locking eyes with the Texan wrestler, their faces inches apart. She says nothing, neither the low threats nor greedy imperatives from earlier. Having gained a measure of Alizeh's fortitude and fighting spirit through the match, Wyvern fully expects her to be willing to fight through the pain and keep going until a decisive winner is found, the same as Wyvern. If her pull upwards succeeds, Wyvern moves quickly, attempting to Irish Whip Alizeh off the ropes and follow up with a powerful Busaiku Knee Kick!

In terms of striking power it was now abundantly clear to Alizeh who was superior and that was Wyvern. That last chop especially was something else entirely that Alizeh could have prepared for all day and still fallen down to her knees as as result from the impact. As a result of the massive blow Alizeh had to lean forward, grabbing onto her opponent's leg to keep herself from falling flat on her face from the debilitating pain traversing through her system from earth shattering chop delivered to her. 'Fuck.' Alizeh thought to heself with a wince, the pain being the only thing she could focus on, even her current position propped against her opponent was more instinctual than intentional with doing so being all Alizeh could manage.

But now her opponent was the one with the advantage as a result. Feeling her top pulled up as she was hauled up to her feet as a result. "Ngh..." Hissing softly in pain as her chest inadvertently moved as a result of her being forced up Alizeh would lock eyes with the amber orbs of her opponent, panting slightly but despite the pain she was in right now she refused to show weakness to the dark haired woman as they stared each other down. In this moment no words were exchanged. No barbs or disses, or empty promises to be upheld. It was a look of acknowledgement between two tough as nails fighters. Or at least thats how Alizeh interpreted it.

However despite the few moments of reprieve Alizeh was far from ok. In fact her chest was positively aching from being upright at the moment. Something that would only get amplified as she was thrown at the ropes, the active movement making Alizeh wince and hiss with each step she took. Bouncing off the ropes and rebounding towards her opponent Alizeh wasn't able to do anything as a knee blasted her, knocking the green haired girl off her feet and making impact with the mat! "Agh!" Screaming in pain from the impact Alizeh's legs hung over her head, body bent into a C shape from the impact as she laid there, temporarily stunned and unable to do much of anything.

It is indeed respect that Alizeh saw in Wyvern's eyes, mixed with a manic hunger that might intimidate one of lesser fortitude. The Emerald Storm had already thoroughly earned Wyvern's regard. Wyvern had never had a chance to wrestle someone so evenly matched with her, and this was the first time that she'd felt true enjoyment of a match in years. Indeed, in her enthusiasm, Wyvern lost track of just how unusual her pain tolerance is. As a result, Wyvern didn't expect her attacks to be quite as effective as they had been, and is almost surprised when her knee connects to Alizeh without a hitch, expecting her opponent to have recovered more in the time given. In fact, an emotion almost like fear begins to bubble up inside her chest. No. No, it's not over yet. It can't be.

None of this showed on the debuting wrestler's face, however, a consequence of the usual disconnect between her feelings and expressions. After taking a moment to examine her downed opponent, Wyvern strides almost angrily forwards. Unless stopped or interrupted, she grabs Alizeh's ankle and violently unfolds her, pulling the other wrestler flat onto her back as her jaw visibly clenches and unclenches. If that goes off without provoking a response, Wyvern kneels down next to Alizeh's torso, placing the fingertips exposed by her gloves on the raw skin of the Texan's chest. The touch isn't gentle by any means, but it isn't forceful, either; eliciting pain that will serve as a wakeup call to an opponent who can still fight, or cow one who cannot. Wyvern herself doesn't see pain as a weapon to hurt others with. For her, it's a neutral state, unpleasant but not one to be feared or avoided, an unavoidable side-effect of what she does to both others and herself. A tool with advantages and disadvantages.

All of this is lost on the crowd, however, which sees only a rookie disrespecting a well-loved veteran of the ring. Wyvern's apparent arrogance earns another loud wave of boos and jeers from the audience, one that she tunes out entirely, just looking over to the referee. The two wrestlers' current positions technically fulfill the requirements for a pin, which the official acknowledges as they slide down next to the pair.

"One!"

Alizeh groaned from her place on the mat, laid out by the combination of that brutal final chop in the already self destructive chop battle with Wyvern as well as that Busaiku knee she was left dazed and disoriented. 'A pin is probably gonna come, gonna need to focus to kick out Alizeh thought to herself. Her body was wrecked and hurting from the vicious strikes but her mind was still at least somewhat clear, or at least clear enough for her to think of a way on how to proceed as she waited for the inevitable of Wyvern pinning her. "Ngh.." Grunting softly in pain as her legs were roughly unfolded Feeling her legs roughly dropped by the woman Alizeh Though as she did Alizeh would look up... and see the usual stoic expression on the woman's eyes. But Alizeh had already gotten at least somewhat good at finding the underlying emotions in the woman's eyes and in this case... there was panic? Fear? Quite ironic given the emotions each women were feeling should honestly be reversed.

Either way though Wyvern would soon do something at least, though it wasn't what Alizeh expected. Rather than pin her, or at least traditionally do so, she pressed her fingers down against her chest, dead center in where she was the most sensitive and hurting. So as the fingers pressed in it was almost like pressing the reset button on a device. Almost immediately the sharp chills of pain that went through her caused Alizeh's eyes to bug open and on instinct she reached up, grabbing onto the wrist of Wyvern before looking up at the woman with a wild eyed expression.... Before she pulled forward on her opponents hand swung her leg up, attempting to drive her knee into Wyvern's head to get her to back off from her!

Wyvern's surge of fear didn't fade, only intensifying when Alizeh initially failed to respond to her actions as she flattened the other wrestler out with unnecessary force. She knelt down next to Alizeh only hesitantly, not wanting to in end the match but also unwilling to prolong it if her opponent was truly incapacitated. As she leaned in over the other wrestler, their eyes briefly met, and Alizeh was able to see past Wyvern's dispassionate facade and into the concern and hunger that lay beneath it. Moreover, there's a pleading cast to Wyvern's eyes, an almost childish expression that clashed heavily with the rest of what Alizeh has seen of the brutal wrestler. If Wyvern recognized how deeply she had been read into, or of gleaning any insight in response, she gives no sign of it as she breaks eye contact and focuses her attention on Alizeh's chest. She reached out slowly but inexorably to place her fingers on the other wrestler's injuries, leaving it up to the Emerald Storm whether the match would continue or end.

Alizeh does not disappoint.

As the Texan wrestler's eyes snapped back into focus, Wyvern didn't even have a chance to process what had happened before being struck by her retaliatory blow. Wyvern was taken completely off guard by just how fast Alizeh's response is, and for the first time in the match takes a blow totally unprepared as her opponent's knee crashed into her temple. "Ngh!" Wyvern, less experienced and largely unfamiliar with being knocked for a loop, underestimated just how well trained Alizeh's instincts were, enabling the strike even without being fully recovered. She was immediately forced backwards, staggering to her feet and clutching the side of her head. Alizeh has an opening to act here, but if anything she'd seen of her debuting opponent stayed consistent, it won't be long at all before Wyvern recovers and goes back on the offense.

'Note to self. Thank the girl who nearly knocked me out for waking me right back up. Huh never thought I'd that'd be a thing that happens.' Alizeh thought to herself as she delivered the impromptu knee strike to Wyvern's skull. 'Also be sure to thank mom again for all those drills of striking while pinned.' She thought once against as she watched Wyvern stumble backwards, holding her head and seemingly stunned by the blow to her head. "Alright then, time to change things up." Alizeh said more to herself, but also indirectly to Wyvern, though she doubted if the girl could fully hear her over the ringing likely running through her ears from that knee strike Alizeh had delivered to her.

But her opponent's stunned state was Alizeh's gain. Getting up following the pinfall 'attempt' by Wyvern and the knee Alizeh had clapped her with Alizeh would waste no time dashing up close to Wyvern's body. Reaching forward to wrap her arms around Wyvern's head and force the woman to bend over a bit. If she was successful in doing so than Alizeh would also reach down with her free hand to grab the dark haired woman's waist. 'That head of yours has already taken two good hits, lets see how you do with a third ring of that bell.' Alizeh thought to herself with a determined gaze on her face. "Hah!" With a grunt of effort Alizeh aimed to haul Wyvern off her feet and into the air in a vertical position, something that if she achieved wouldn't last long as Alizeh looked to fall straight backwards, and in doing so, spike Wyvern's skull into the mat with a massive brain buster!

The ringing in Wyvern's ears refused to fully fade as she staggered away from Alizeh, the knee strike having taken an especially vicious toll due to how off-guard she had been when it was struck. She forced herself to focus as much as possible, keeping her eyes trained on her opponent even as she was still recovering her posture and trying to create space. She only heard disconnected snippets of the other wrestler's subsequent declaration, but it wasn't hard to guess what it ultimately signified: Alizeh intended to take back control of the match now that the momentum had been shifted. Not stupid. Won't try a striking contest again (unfortunate). Most likely a grab attempt. Submission or impact? Wyvern mentally switched through Alizeh's likely approaches as fast as she could through the brain fog, but unfortunately for her simply does not recover quickly enough to actually do anything about it when Alizeh rushed in and forced her head down.

Wyvern failed to mount any meaningful resistance as Alizeh secured the hold and lifted her overhead. Worse still for her, she only fully recovered from the knee strike as Alizeh dropped her to the canvas below, immediately replacing the effects of the strike and leaving her further disoriented. She took the move quite literally head on and without mitigation, leaving her to fall flat onto her back after the initial impact. After a few moments, she tried to roll over, but the movement was sluggish and weak. Alizeh's targeting of Wyvern's head has clearly had an effect, and for now she's helpless to prevent the Texan wrestler's next move.

"Yeah!!!" Managing to land the brainbuster on Wyvern with a resounding impact Alizeh would stand up and give a war cry, further psyching herself up as well as the fans around them who responded almost as thunderously as that brainbuster. The move being rather decisive in the way it landed as Alizeh now firmly had the advantage over her opponent who had 'disrespected' her before. Not that Alizeh believed or was even aware of that, but that was a major factor as to why the fans were so revved up. Either way Alizeh had an advantage and she knew she had to continue to make the most of it if she were to win this hard hitting bout.

So watching as her opponent managed to roll over onto her stomach Alizeh got the perfect idea on how to continue her offensive to keep her advantage and hopefully put her opponent at a disadvantage. "Lets try this on for size!" Alizeh would say as she bent down, grabbing her opponents arms and forcing them behind her back in a tight grip. As she did so Alizeh roll forward to where her torso and chest was facing straight up while her legs were braced against the mat. So if all went well and uninterrupted than Alizeh would hopefully manage to secure a cattle mutilation submission on the dark haired girl to really crank in some pain and hopefully do some damage to Wyvern's arms in the process to hinder those strikes going forward!
