Peaceful Meeting Under Karaoke Assault

Cheyenne continued working on her drink, bowing her head slightly as Alizeh spoke. She picked up on the subtle winks, the change in her smile, and her tone, although some of that was less subtle. Still, it didn't seem to get much of a difference in reaction from Black Rock. "I would say that Deanna and I are uncommon... in a multitude of ways--apparently with whether or not we would date, as well," said Cheyenne, glancing over to the girl in question who was currently on deck for karaoke right now. Deanna threw a big wave towards her and the Native American offered a bit more visible of a smile, giving a small wave back to her.

Then, she turned to face Alizeh again. "As for if I'm interested or not..." Cheyenne looked the green-haired girl over, letting the words hang there for a moment in suspense before she locked eyes with her drinking buddy. "Well I don't know you. So I would think that question is premature," answered Cheyenne, offering Alizeh a slight smirk, seemingly content to have avoided her question directly.

Meanwhile, the familiar voice of Deanna Duncan was on the microphone now. "HEEEEEEEY EVERYONE! I'm Deannaaaaa and I'm going to be singing for you guys... a CLASSIC! Total classic! You're gonna love it! I'm going to sing Africa! Yaaaaay!" There was polite clapping for Deanna's drunken enthusiasm as she looked absolutely thrilled to be up there.

Alizeh smirked as she heard Cheyenne's response. Not all that surprised given what she was able to gleam of her personality just based on their interactions thus far. It made sense and if anything it only made things all the more... interesting for Alizeh. Just as she was about to reply she would turn at the explosive sound of Deanna's voice from the stage. "Woof those lungs." Alizeh said jokingly about the volume whilst clapping politely for the girl before turning to Cheyenne with another grin present on her face. Clearly not phased by the woman's coy nature.

"Fair enough." Alizeh said simply as she leaned towards the woman. Not enough to get in her personal space, but enough to show her interest and make things just a tad more... private in the public space they were in. "In that case..." Alizeh said in a breathy whisper, as if she was about to say something lewd or outrageous, leaning just a bit closer until.... "Consider this a ask me anything!" Alizeh said jubilantly, pulling back and away from Cheyenne as she did so, giggling all the while as she leaned one arm on the table and the other on the booth.

"Any questions on you're mind for the Emerald Storm Ms.Black Rock?" Alizeh asked playfully towards the taller woman with a smirk and wink, clearly eager to see if the woman had any in mind for Alizeh, and if not what she could come up with on the fly.

Cheyenne regarded Alizeh as she offered herself up for any questioning, a calm smile on her face even as she was being joked with. "Mmmm... Well--" Losing her train of thought when the lyrics of Africa began and Deanna was starting to sing. She made a face, looking over at her friend belting out the lyrics, completely off-key but her enthusiasm being on point as she put a hand over her one ear facing the stage and said, "She is truly dreadful singing this song."

She let out a short laugh before settling again, looking back at Alizeh, humming in thought with a small smile. And then Cheyenne waited another beat before asking, "Are you fulfilled?" She waited another beat to allow Alizeh some thought before clarifying. "With your life. Every aspect of it. Or are you wanting in areas?" It was certainly not a light question, but more one that Black Rock was intrigued to find an answer to. Light conversation was hardly ever her thing.

Alizeh hummed softly as she leaned towards Cheyenne, waiting to see what the woman would ask her first given the free range to do so. But before she could Alizeh winced as she turned to the direction of singing not far from them and saw Cheyenne's partner Deanna singing... really badly on stage. Exuberant and full of energy at least but BOY was the tune off and not very good. Turning to Cheyenna Alizeh would chuckle at the blunt commentary. "Least she's not a soprano, otherwise all the glasses here would be breaking." She said with a chuckle

But then Cheyenna asked her question and it made Alizeh blink from the surprisingly deep nature of it. "Not what I was expecting." Alizeh said before leaning back in her seat. "But... yeah mostly at least." She said pausing to think more before elaborating. "I have the job I've been training for my whole life, I have a lot of friends, my mom is here with me even." She said wistfully while looking off to the side.

"I've even been helping other people with not as much experience find their footing, now it feels like the only thing to make things perfect is well..." Alizeh said, this time gesturing to her waist, making it clear that she wanted a championship around it. "I dunno if that makes me shallow or anything, but I've always been fairly simple with a list of defined goals and wants, and I've hit most of them, but there's always more to want in life as you live it, and I'm sure more will be added later on, you know?" Alizeh said, throwing a small, question back at her drinking partner, albeit more as a confirmation than anything.

"IT'S GONNA TAKE A LOT TO DRAG ME AWAAAAAAY FROM YOOOOOOU!" sang Deanna Duncan, dancing and grooving on the stage as she got incredibly into Toto's classic single. Even if it was awful, most people were still cheering for her enthusiasm and boldness.

Taking a moment of her attention away from Alizeh, Cheyenne would cup her hands around her mouth and cheer for her friend. "WHOOOOOO!" Then, she turned to look at Alizeh once more, smiling with a small laugh. "Truly, truly awful," remarked the Native American before taking another sip of her drink.

She nodded and listened to everything the girl said, quietly and perceptively, taking in her words thoughtfully. Black Rock would then speak when Alizeh was done. "I understand," was all Cheyenne said at first, taking the time to sip her drink, choosing her words. "That is good to know. Personal satisfaction is important. I don't think there's anything selfish about having aspirations though. Complacency is not a good trait to have. I think having something to work for keeps you from becoming lazy."

Then, she offered a warm smile to Alizeh. "I'm glad you are mostly fulfilled though," said Cheyenne before raising her glass.

Luckily Alizeh's response seemed to have been more than satisfactory for Cheyenne who nodded approvingly at what Alizeh said. Something that admittedly made Alizeh smile a bit brighter as the woman spoke highly of Alizeh's view on if she was satisfied. It was always nice to have affirmation that the way you thought was good, or at least appreciated by others.

Especially if that affirmation came from a beautiful woman like Cheyenne. That was definitely a nice bonus for her. Once again though before they could continue they were paused by the loud and very off key singing from Deanna. Turning to where the girl on stage was Alizeh would smirk and join her new acquaintance in cheering for her, if nothing else to just be polite. "Woo you go girl!" Alizeh said, clapping her hands as well before turning to Cheyenne.

"Thank you." She said sweetly before shuffling closer to the dark haired woman with a smile. "What about you? Feeling... satisfied?" Alizeh asked, her eyes running over the woman's body once more before locking on her eyes once more as she waited for a response.

Cheyenne continued to try to ignore her friend's absolutely terrible singing as she watched Alizeh, who had just asked if she felt satisfied. Running a hand through her brown hair, she thought on that, shrugging a shoulder. "In certain ways, yes," replied Cheyenne simply. Taking another sip of her drink, she relaxed a bit more, eyes rolling up as she thought.

"I am in a big promotion, able to keep competing. I wish I could compete more often, but at least I am there. I'm very happy with my physique and how far I've gotten though, and with my talents even though they can always improve. I'm happy I haven't had to compromise on my values to succeed. I think I have sacrificed a lot to get to where I am now," continued Black Rock, pausing to think more. "I have an incredible friendship with Deanna, as well. She helped me ascend in my career to bring any charisma that... I seem to lack. I'd like to be able to branch out from that, but I don't know that circumstances would allow that, and I don't know that I'd want to branch out and leave Deanna either."

The Native American shrugged her shoulders, smiling. "I have many thoughts, but yes. I am satisfied for the most part, even if I don't have much of an interesting personal life to speak of as a result. A long answer to your simple question. Sorry." She shrugged again, taking another sip of her drink.

Alizeh leaned forward, attempting to listen to Cheyenne's response with as much attention as she could, not wanting to miss a single word. A task that was admittedly more difficult than it needed to be with a certain blonde woman's terrible singing on stage making it hard to hear. But Alizeh managed it, and she nodded to Cheyenne's words with a soft, serious expression on her face.

"No worries you're fine." Alizeh said with a nod as she leaned back. "Honestly a fairly similar response to me." She admitted before leaning back in the seat. "Although I get you're worry about leaving Deanna behind. I was in a... similar position prior to receiving my LAW contract. So I had to choose between all this and a.. old friend of mine." Alizeh offered, relating even in a small way to Cheyenne and her worries. "All I can say is do whatever makes you.. well satisfied." Alizeh said with a chuckle towards the woman before getting an idea.

"Hey I know, how about we have a toast?" Alizeh said, holding up the remainder of her margarita in the air towards Cheyenne with a grin. "To whatever fulfills us." Alizeh offered, waiting to see how Cheyenne would respond in kind.

Cheyenne patiently listened to Alizeh, glad that she could connect with her a little bit in her situation. She would then smile warmly as she held up her drink, tapping her drinking buddy's glass. "To whatever fulfills us," she stated before downing the rest of her drink just as Africa had finally stopped playing and the torturous singing of Deanna Duncan had finally ceased.

Turning, she began applauding and cheering loudly for her friend as she took a bow, speaking into the microphone. "Thank you! Thank you! You have all been amazing!" said Duncan, laughing before fanning herself off and placing the microphone back on the stand.

The Native American would then look back at Alizeh. "I was about to start admitting to crimes I didn't commit if the song didn't even soon," joked Black Rock, smirking at her own joke, seeming to have loosened up a bit, be it the drinks or the company or both.

Alizeh would smile and nod at Cheyenne as they tinked their glasses together, toasting to their mutual goals. Downing the rest of her drink Alizeh would get a shudder as the alcohol ran through her system before looking up at the stage and smiling as Deanna finally finished her song and began clapping for her.

Though she practically lost it when she heard Cheyenne's joke about her friend's singing. "Pfffft hahaha.." Alizeh laughed, nearly snorting before collecting herself. "I feel ya there." She said before turning to face her.

"Soooo." Alizeh said, leaning in a bit closer towards Cheyenne. "Anything else you feel like asking me? I am an open book ya know." She said while batting her eyelashes at the dark haired beauty.
