Wyvern (D) vs. Alizeh Mirdori

Wyvern recovered at roughly the same speed as Alizeh, but her decision to retreat first meant that she was slower to rise to her feet compared to her opponent. Having gained the needed time to recover, however, she does manage to shake off the cobwebs from her senses and return to full fighting form, taking an orthodox stance. If Alizeh is familiar with martial arts at all, and is paying attention during her assault, it would quickly become obvious that Wyvern's stance wasn't taking from boxing, bearing more resemblance to Muay Thai. All of this was quickly rendered moot, however, as Alizeh successfully feinted against Wyvern. Unable to respond properly due to losing the initiative, Wyvern raised her guard to protect her face from an elbow smash that never landed, only to find herself wrapped in a waist lock by the Emerald Storm.

Only then processing Alizeh's comment, Wyvern failed to respond as her opponent was in the process of proving herself quite correct via her successful exploitation of Wyvern's self-inflicted damage. Wyvern is unable to counter or escape, only having enough time to briefly move her hips in the process of trying to wriggle free, and ultimately found herself on the receiving end of the suplex this time. At the height of the arc, however, Wyvern recovered enough sense of self to spitefully launch a stabbing elbow strike at Alizeh's temple. It wouldn't lessen the damage she takes, possibly even exacerbating it depending on how Alizeh responds, but to Wyvern's mentality it was still better than doing nothing.

Alizeh had quickly learned in the early goings of this match that if nothing else her opponent was tough as hell and strong to boot. Able to withstand a step up enziguri while holding ALizeh up and then suplexing her, albeit at a awkward angle. But none the less it meant that Alizeh would have to pull out all the stops and work smarter as opposed to harder in terms of overcoming this debuting opponent. So Alizeh darted in, knowing that going slow would only allow Wyvern more time to recover and potentially go back on the attack. Something that Alizeh couldn't allow to happen as she darted towards the woman, ducking low and pulling a quick but effective feint in order to get behind the woman and grab her in a quick waist lock.

'So far so good.' Alizeh thought to herself with a confident nod as she pulled back, trying to haul her opponent off her feet and through the air to go for a german suplex! As she was mid air though is where Alizeh ran into a issue. Before she could fully plant the girl Alizeh found a sharp and powerful elbow dig into the side of her skull! "Ngh!" Wincing in pain from the blow Alizeh's grip ended up slackening to the point that she unintentionally let go just before impact, inadvertently making the move more of a release german suplex by the time they landed. 'At least I got it.' Alizeh thought to herself, sitting up to see the effect she had on her opponent.

Wyvern felt a rush of satisfaction as her elbow connected and her opponent released a pained grunt. Unfortunately for her, this also meant the grip around her waist loosened up, and Wyvern had positioned herself to try to mitigate the damage from a normal suplex, not a release. As a result, she ends up hitting the ground harder than expected, slamming onto her back, getting the wind knocked out of her, and rolling completely over her head and neck until she flops, rather painfully, onto her stomach. "Tch..." She hadn't taken any serious injuries from the hit, but she was racking up damage a lot faster than usual in her matches. Alizeh had done a good job of preventing her from controlling the flow of the match like she usually did. Back home, she usually had a decisive advantage by this point. But this...this was so much better.

Forcing herself back up into a kneeling crouch, Wyvern plants one hand on her raised knee and one on the ground as she sucks in air to replace the breath lost on impact earlier. As Alizeh sits up and looks across at her opponent, she can see a toothy, feral smile starting to split Wyvern's face apart. As the two locked eyes, Wyvern rolled her neck, a series of audible pops emitting from it as she did so. "I've always been able to walk out under my own power. My opponents...?" Her grin cracks infinitesimally wider as she trailed off and allows implication to finish her thought. Self destructive? Maybe. But Wyvern's skills had never failed her.

Unless Alizeh did something surprising very quickly, Wyvern would rise to her feet, assuming the same stance as she had before the suplex. "Get up. We've barely even started."

Alizeh had only intended to do a regular suplex. That was her goal and intention. Not a release. But the surprise blow from her opponent to her head had made that next to impossible. Instead Alieh was forced to land an improvised release german suplex that sent Wyvern flying from her as a result. Either way it worked out for Alizeh, all it changed was the fact that she wouldn't be able to transition directly to another move like she planned. But the release was at least more hard hitting. Getting up onto her knees Alizeh would look over at her opponent and see something quite surprising. A smile. A wide, feral looking smirk that looked closer to what a Jackal would likely do if it could smile and for anyone else it may have been unnerving to see such a thing from such a normally impassive opponent.

Alizeh wasn't like most people however. Not at all. She was someone that lived for excitement and the thrill of a good match.

Rather than fear or apprehension crossing her face... A wild, eager grin stretched across Alizeh's lips as she focused on the amber eyes of her opponent. It wasn't quite the same as Wyvern's given Alizeh's was a few shades less threatening overall. But it was clearly of a similar nature to Wyvern. "Well look who's finally opening up." Alizeh said sarcastically, already starting to get her feet under her as she began to stand up. Even with the ominous threat, or rather boast from her opponent Alizeh's look of excitement never once dimmed as she focused on her opponent. "I'm not like you're other opponents." She said in response, meeting Wyvern's intensity with some of her own.

Getting fully to her feet by the time Wyvern called for her too Alizhe would roll her neck as well before cracking her knuckles. "Don't gotta tell me twice, lets go!" Alizeh said, entering her own stance once more before she began to circle Wyvern, expecting the dark haired woman to make the first move.

"I'm not like you're other opponents."
"I know."

There was real respect there. Even with the menacing appearance of Wyvern's grin, Alizeh could tell there was no real intent to intimidate or cow her coming from the Irish wrestler. All Wyvern wanted was to keep fighting until they had both reached their limits, and Alizeh's reciprocation had only intensified her feelings. As Alizeh returned to her feet, Wyvern slid back into the same stance as before, tightly coiled and distinct from but reminiscent of Muay Thai. She made no effort to cut off Alizeh's return to her feet, using the few moments of time she had to fully adjust her stance and prepare to go at it again. Despite the rapid exertion of earlier, her breath is already beginning to return to normal with only a few seconds of rest.

"Don't gotta tell me twice, lets go!"
"Let's."

As the two wrestlers squared off, Wyvern's smile was already beginning to fade back into her previous, neutral demeanor. The uncontrollable surge of elation at actually having a real competitor subsided quickly enough, and her experience kicked in as she once again entered a state of analytical calm. Her opponent had displayed agility, striking, and technical abilities, adapting to the match as needed. Apparently a well-rounded fighter. No obvious weaknesses to target. With that in mind, Wyvern began circling Alizeh as well. Rather than wait for an obvious opening, Wyvern instead made a few low-commitment body feints before exploding into action. She tries to close the distance with Alizeh even further, attempting to drive her left elbow into her opponent's sternum while cocking her arm back, intending to follow up with a European uppercut if the first hit lands cleanly.

'Well looks like I misjudged someone.' Alizeh thought to herself as she stared down her opponent. Wyvern's reply, while hard to tell with the dark looking smile on her face was clearly filled respect. Something Alizeh though the girl was devoid of after slapping her hand away. 'Guess she's the type where you got to earn it.' She thought to herself, nodding to the woman who seemed just as keen to get going once again. This was definitely a different vibe than Alizeh usually got in her matches, especially as of late, there were no stakes, no deceptions, no proving oneself or anything of the sort. This was just a good old fashion fight and Alizeh was enjoying every last second of it.

So with that in mind Alizeh began circling Wyvern, watching the dark haired woman carefully, looking for a opening or bracing herself for an attack in kind. So far based on what she had seen of the debuting wrestler she seemed like the type that would initiate, so that was what Alizeh was preparing herself given the the way their initial encounter went. Sure enough Alizeh's assumption proved to be correct when after a few easy to tell feints, Wyvern came in hot, swinging her arm around, prompting Alizeh to swing her own up and to the side, aiming to knock away her opponent's strike before it could hit her chest. In doing so however Alizeh had left herself open to a European Uppercut in response from the woman!

"Agh!" Alizeh cried out as she was forced to take a step back from the blow. As she did so though Alizeh would quickly plant her feet against the mat before swinging her own arm forward for a revenge knife edge chop to Wyvern's chest in response!

Wyvern hadn't really expected any of her body feints to be effective. If anything, she would have been disappointed if they had. But it was still good practice to test her opponent's ability to read her, and it was almost unconscious for her to do so now after years in the ring. Seeing Alizeh ready to defend against her inevitable first attack, Wyvern elected not to attempt any more trickery and simply go for it. In a straight striking match, Wyvern was confident in her ability to win, or at least force Alizeh to change tactics on the fly. If Wyvern could shift the fight's momentum against her opponent and keep her from regaining her balance, that would go a long way towards preventing her from leveraging her wide array of skills to find a weak point in Wyvern's own narrower skill set to exploit. With this in mind, Wyvern takes a risk and throws the first strike with her elbow, counting on Alizeh's decision to remain defensive to allow her to close the distance enough to make the attack effective. Wyvern is surprised when Alizeh proves able to deflect the strike anyway, but continues through with her intended combination and delivers a vicious uppercut to her opponent.

Alizeh is able to recover almost immediately and launch a retaliatory strike, Wyvern is once again taken off guard by her opponent's resilience and skill. The chop lands solidly, the sound of the impact echoing even over the cheers of the crowd as flesh strike flesh. "Tss..." Hissing in pain, Wyvern is forced back just as Alizeh was, but catches herself just as quickly. Another rush of exhilaration and enjoyment blazes through her mind, and she locks eyes with Alizeh once more before unleashing a thunderously powerful chop of her own, fully prepared to exchange such blows until one of them backs down or changes tactics.

Alizeh had taken a powerful uppercut to the jaw, one that immediately sent her stepping back from the force and making her grit her teeth to not cry out in pain from the blow. 'Strikes are definitely her forte no doubt about that.' Alizeh thought to herself, jaw still hurting from Wyvern's blow but it meant Alizeh had learned something new about her opponent, and Alizeh was going to keep learning, likewise she wasn't about to let the dark haired girl get away with that blow without giving her a receipt in the form of a strike of Alizeh's own. After all the green haired girl was multitalented, strikes while not her main focus were still strong as hell when delivered by the Texan, something both Wyvern would learn and the crowd would be reminded of as Alizeh's arm came down on Wyvern's chest with a loud impact, one that left both the crowd and her opponent hissing from how pain it sounded/was.

Grinning slightly from this Alizeh was about to pull back for another strike when suddenly... Smack A thunderous, painful chop echoed through the arena from Alizeh's chest making the green haired girl's eyes widen and her breath hitch from the stinging sensation crawling through her now. "Ngh!" Barely managing to contain a cry of pain by biting the insides of her cheek Alizeh would focus on Wyvern again, refusing to back down, the competitive spirit inside getting ignited once more. Now internally Alizeh knew that continuing a chop battle against Wyvern would be a bad idea overall, one that would likely lead to Alizeh losing the advantage... but at the same time she found herself just not giving a damn as she swung her arm back around, aiming to deliver a second chop herself with similar thunderous impact should it land successfully against Wyvern's chest, impacting with a brutal sound of flesh on flesh and even bone on bone with how hard Alizeh had swung. One thing was for certain, and thats that if Alizeh did lose this chop battle, she would be sure to pain her opponent's chest a crimson red before she did so!

After Alizeh's first blow, Wyvern was taken off guard by the sheer strength of the other wrestler and was pushed back. With that, however, she had adjusted to Alizeh's power, and stood firm against the second such chop, merely gritting her teeth as she took it with no effort to block or intercept the blow. The crowd cheered as the strike landed, and Wyvern resisted the urge to rub at the rapidly bruising flesh and bone. Specialty or not, Alizeh's chops hit harder than some of the so-called strikers Wyvern had faced back home. The stinging pain in her chest only intensified, but for Wyvern that just sharpened her focus and surged her determination. Recognizing the growing competitive spirit in her opponent in regards to the exchange of blows, Wyvern tilted her head in acceptance of the unspoken challenge, before shrugging as if to say "your funeral." Without further preamble, she wound up a rising backhand chop once more, twisting her hips to put her full power behind the strike. The crowd began to quiet down, waiting for the moment of impact as Wyvern prepared. As soon as she reached the full extent of her wind-up, Wyvern released her strike upwards in a hellacious swing, aiming dead center in the middle of her opponent's chest.

If Alizeh takes Wyvern's second chop, she'll find the impact to be on a completely different level from the first one, with the full force of Wyvern's strength and skill behind it. The blow is powerful enough to send shockwaves of pain rippling through flesh and precise enough to grind bone against bone at its deepest extent. It's a small wonder that Wyvern's hand doesn't break outright from the force of the impact, even with the protective cushioning from her gloves and wraps. For her part, Wyvern just gives another of her slight-but-fierce smiles and spreads her arms, beckoning another retaliatory strike.

Without intending too things had turned into a hellacious chop battle between Alizeh and Wyvern. Both women already having delivered and taken a brutal chop from the other. In Wyvern's case she had just taken a second one. Something that made it clear this was a battle now, a duel of chops and Alizeh wasn't stopping until there was a winner. Naturally Wyvern agreed in a way only Wyvern could seem to agree to things. That was too simply shrug her shoulders and once again flash that devilish grin before winding up, preparing herself for the next chop. As she did so Alizeh would prepare herself. After that first chop Alizeh knew that she would have too or she would likely be bowled over completely by the woman and her impressive striking skills. So Alizeh tensed her chest as much as possible while slowly widening her stance, bracing herself as much as possible as Wyvern brought her hand down once again, slapping Alizeh's chest with an amount of power that didn't fit the size of the arms on the dark haired woman as the sound that echoed from the silent stadium made everyone there wince ust from the decibels achieved.

"Nghhhhhgah!" Managing to keep herself silent for the most part Alizeh had taken the chop but her chest now quite literally felt like it was on fire, her chest an unnatural pinkish red color, the closest it could be to crimson given how tanned she was. But it was clear just by how much Alizeh was trying to keep her face from contorting in agony how much the chop had hurt. Likewise Alizeh was forced to take a step back again, the sheer force of the chop making her stumble... But she wasn't done yet. Turning on her heel Alizeh spun, adding momentum and twisting her hips, trying to bring her arm down with as much force as she possibly could on Wyvern's chest with a hard third chop!
