Larum Douglas vs Miranda Tomi - The Big Dance

Mira was holding onto Larum's leg twisting her ankle as far back as it could go, an unpleasant experience for Larum but one that benefited Miranda. She could tell Larum was having a hard time handling the pain or trying to force Mira off so she would keep the hold on making that experience worse and worse for her. It wasn't until Larum managed to throw a kick that caught Mira in the nose that she got any leverage for her attempted escape.

"Oww." Mira groaned, the kick was hardly the worst she had taken but she could never take any hit to the nose gracefully. Her grip faltered and her hand slipped allowing the chance Larum was looking for to get out while Mira pulled back once the dancer would find her freedom.

Escaping took Larum a lot more tries than she would've liked, considering how painful Miranda's ankle lock was for her. Larum's foot took some damage, but the dancer eventually felt her free leg connect with Miranda's face. She felt the relief of pressure from her ankle as the belly dancer finally let go and backed off from her hold.

"Ah," hissed Larum, rubbing her ankle as she stood up. Now it was a question of what came next. There was a good chunk of space separating the two dancers, so Larum had some time to think of her next course of action. She figured her ankle should still be good enough to run and push off of, at least for now.

Larum was never one to slow down if she didn't have to, so if her ankle still worked, then she'd still try to put the pressure on Miranda. Larum charged, and launched a dropkick straight at the belly dancer's belly.

Miranda's ankle lock didn't end the match, so all she could do was see how much she had hurt the ankle and hurt Larum's speed. The fellow dancer was getting up at the same time and was rightfully cautious about how much pressure she put on her leg, not wanting to pressure it too much and cause herself to buckle while Mira would move in to try and grab her head and throw a knee into her face when Larum proved she could still act quick, jumping up and hitting her in the belly with a dropkick.

"Ouugh!" Mira gasped, she didn't expect Larum to risk herself like that and her actions paid off hitting an unflexed stomach. The stronger dancer dropped to the mat holding her stomach, nothing leaving her mouth but gasps and groans while Laruma was able to recover some more time.

Larum was naturally quicker on the draw than Miranda with her attack, and the fact that her dropkick matched up well with Miranda's grab on top of that guaranteed its success. As the belly dancer's arms reached for Larum's head, she pulled it back as she threw her legs forward for the dropkick, allowing her to dodge and strike Miranda simultaneously, dropping Miranda to her knees as she clutched her stomach.

Larum already knew exactly what she wanted to do next. She ran up to Miranda and Larum lined up her leg next to Miranda's neck. Then Larum stepped over the belly dancer with her other leg, spinning herself around and setting the leg on the other side of Miranda's neck. Next, Larum crossed her ankles, trapping Miranda's neck between her thighs with a standing headscissor. Lastly, Larum would go to grab Miranda's wrists, completing the Balancing Act, one of her signature moves.

The back and forth match showed Mira just how behind she was in speed, something she once thought was one of her strengths. Larum soon had her backside and grabbed at her arms, once she wrapped her legs around her head Miranda was unable to pull away and the dancer was trapping her in some submission Miranda had never seen before.

"Anngh! Hey! S-stop that now!" Miranda screamed as the submission tightened around her. Stuck under Larum while the submission trapped her arms and kept her restrained all the belly dancer could do was scream and shake her head while kicking her feet.

"Ha ha, yes! I'm for sure gonna win this now," cheered Larum as she successfully trapped Miranda in her Balancing Act. A hold that was flashy an showy on the part of both attacker and victim. Larum got to show a pose of control and dominance to the crowd, while Miranda's position made her butt stick out at the perfect viewing angle for those in the right part of the arena.

The main, if not only method of escape is for the victim to push, pull, and otherwise throw their weight around to try throwing the opponent off their balance, which gave the hold its name. But as a dancer, Larum had balance to spare. The only question was if she was too light compared to Miranda for that to matter, as no amount of balance could save this hold if the belly dancer got enough force behind her struggling.

Miranda's arms were stretched out while the rest of her was helplessly put on display to the amusement of the crowd. Squeezing her neck and forcing her in such an awkward spot had Mira letting out any sound she could while shaking in misery and embarrassment, but each time the ref asked if she was done she would just give her head a strong shake. She would not let this match end with her tapping out to this kind of submission, she had Larum in the right spot and even as bad as this was she would find a way out of it. But she had to admit she couldn't think of a way out, she tried to shake her off but Larum's balance was amazing and she could only slightly turn one way or the other before she was stopped, she couldn't slip out either from how tight it was.

That left only one option, and it was one that Mira would have to just give it her all and hope for the best. Trying to grab Larum's arms where she could Miranda was going to pull against them as much as she could, letting out a scream as she would try to pull Larum down with all she had. She knew that exerting herself like this would tire her out but if she let this hold go on much longer she would be too weak to try it later, it had to be now and if wasn't enough Mira would just have to tap.

Larum could tell that Miranda was reaching her limits. The belly dancer's struggling grew noticeably more desperate as the ref asked Miranda for her submission with increasing frequency. Larum's hips shifted and swayed with Miranda's movements, stifling her attempts to slip out or to topple Larum. The orange haired girl squeezed her thighs to try to drop the finishing touch on Miranda.

Alas, it wasn't meant to be. Larum was just too small to stop Miranda from yanking Larum down to force the hold to release. If Larum was a little bigger, or Miranda was a little smaller, it'd have been over then and there. But when Miranda cast aside her dancer's precision and finesse to escape, and turned to her true advantage in pure power, it gave her the advantage over Larum.

Mira was nearing the end of her strength, the move was perfect for Larum and did a great job weakening Miranda down, if not for her strength advantage it would have been lights out. Having been able to break out of the move with one big push saved her skin and once she was free Mira would fall to her hands and knees and sigh in relief while trying to regain her strength.

"Wow...my arms, my head..How did I get out of that one?" Mira muttered, she wished she hadn't said that at all since she knew it was wise to keep quiet about that kind of stuff and giving Larum any ammo was unwise. It was just such a tough thing to fight out of, Larum knew her strengths and used them well, if Mira was going to win she would need to do much of the same.

"Well for starters," groaned Larum as she started to get back up. "You got about what, 25 pounds on me?" The dancer rubbed her nose. She had been effectively upended by Miranda, and with her hands occupied with the hold, she hadn't been fast enough to break her fall. So she had ended up faceplanting on the mat.

"Dang it!" Larum spat, frustrated at missing out on her near win. "LAW should really have a Featherweight division for sub 100 pound wrestlers like me. I would run that division if it existed!" Having reenergized herself a bit, Larum got back into her stance. "But I guess for now, I'll just have to settle for plain ol' lightweight. Not that this hasn't been fun or anything Miranda."
