Aarna Mehta vs. Sakura Hagiwara

Unread post by Dubski »

Aarna Mehta vs. Sakura Hagiwara
Match Type:
Standard Match
Rules: The winner must pin, submit, or knock out her opponent.

Aarna Mehta was backstage, prepared for her upcoming match. She had thought about it, a lot. Possibly too much. Actually, entirely too much to the meticulous detail. Even the entrance was choreographed point for point, despite her trying to keep it simple. Not one to leave much to chance, she was doing her final stretches and pre-match routines such as light jogging, centered breathing, and then... Woman of Intention by Deap Valley hit and one of the women backstage came up and told Aarna she was up.

Mehta's eyes shot open and she shook her head. "Excuse me!? I wasn't to go out for another two minutes!" she exclaimed, grimacing before running to the entrance of the stage before jogging back to the stagehand. "Okay, but my make-up looks fine? Right? Right?" asked Aarna. As the stagehand went to respond, Mehta held up a hand and said, "Actually, there's no time! I'm going!"

And with that, Aarna raced out onto the stage with a red decorative cloth around her head and shoulders, and a white button-up, sleeveless, combat dress. She struck a few poses that may have looked cooler in practice than in action as the crowd politely cheered the newcomer before she began to make her way down the ramp, smiling but kicking herself for missing the timing she had planned due to her late entrance. She jogged up the ring steps and went between the ropes before ascending the middle rope and unfurling the cloth, holding it out over her back as she extended her arms and ultimately, she hopped out of the corner and then began to pace the ring idly, waiting for her opponent.

Everything would be fine, she told herself. Unless it isn't, she also thought. It wasn't a sure thing in Aarna Mehta's mind yet, but at the very least she could sort it out while her adversary for the evening made her way out.

Sakura took a deep breath before smiling to herself in the mirror. She had had a mixed effort in LAW so far since her return and while she had suffered losses they wouldn't keep her down forever! So it was with gusto that she had accepted her next match up against a new opponent named Aarna. Someone that Sakura had not much knowledge of, but that wouldn't keep her from doing her best!

Giving a final inspection of her outfit Sakura would nod to herself. The classic skin tight white and red trikini she normally sported was fitting snug as a glove as per usual, her arm sleeves were secure over her elbows and her boots were tied tightly with no hesitation whatsoever she was ready. Just in time as well since a backstage hand would come up to the idol and tell her that her match was moved up so her entrance was a bit early! "Alrighty then!" Sakura said with a nod and eager look on her face, not at all phased by the change.

Turning and jogging from the hallway Sakura would swiftly make it to the entrance area where she'd stay bouncing on the heels of her feet, waiting for but a second as the stage hand gave her the cue to go. Smiling in response Sakura would waltz out, her entrance music Light It Up playing over the speakers of the arena as she did so!

"Let's go everyone!" She said excitedly while striking her classic pose, earning a massive pop from the crowd as she did so. Smiling brightly to the fans Sakura would nod as she came running down the ramp, high fiving fans in the front row in the process before leaping up as she approached the ring! Vaulting over the middle rope Sakura would land in a kneeling position before posing once more for the crowd who cheered again as the idol turned wrestler stood and turned to her opponent. "Hey lets have a great match ok?" She said optimistically to the girl with a nod of respect before walking to her corner, leaning against it as she waited for the bell to ring.

Re: Aarna Mehta vs. Sakura Hagiwara

Aarna watched as Sakura made her way down to the ring, seemingly very excited and a beloved presence at the show. That was nice, at least. It cut out the possibility that Mehta's opponent might very well be someone vile who would play dirty. And then she tried to extrapolate what she could as she watched her entrance further yet. She judged her outward more, how she moved down the ramp and into the ring, and just examined it down to the finest detail until...

What did she say?

Aarna shook her head clear out of her analytical daze and then waved at Sakura, a big smile on her face. "Yes, my name is Aarna Mehta! Nice to meet you too!" she had made a guess at what Sakura may have said. It was, at the very least, one of a few decent guesses. The Indian girl would then pat herself on the cheeks and hop in place, preparing for her match as she stared down Sakura. And then, as the referee sounded the start of the match, she would start to hesitantly step forward towards the center of the ring.

"Oh, and let's have a great match!" offered Mehta before adopting a defensive pose, holding out her hands to get ready for an impending connection between the two of them to start this match off!

Sakura giggled softly seeing the spaced out expression on her opponent's face. 'Either she's daydreaming or really lost in thought.' Sakura thought to herself with a smile before nodding as the girl seemingly snapped out of it and introduced herself. Nodding right back at the girl Sakura would give a joking salute to her in response. "Hehe nice to meet you as well. I'm Sakura Hagiwara!" She said introducing herself right back.

As they got the all clear from the ref to start however Sakura would nod, her expression shifting to become a bit more serious as she focused in on Mehta. She still had a smile on her face but it was significantly more subdued than before with the focus that was now clear on her face. Raising her hands up and starting to approach Mehta with a careful gaze and gaite Sakura prepared herself for any possible attack while nodding at what the girl said.

"Yeah lets!" She would say before raising one of her hands up to Mehta. "Wanna start off with a classic?" She would ask in a measured and confident tone, inviting Mehta to a test of strength against the idol. Both as a way of gauging her opponent's strength but also to potentially secure an advantage depending on how the contest of strength between them went, should Mehta accept anyway.

Mehta's head tilted at the request. A classic? Then, she could tell by her movements she wanted to go for a test of strength. Of course! Aarna smiled broadly and then met Sakura in a test of strength. "Classic, right!" exclaimed the Transcendent cheerfully with a smile that slowly became more strained. "But just so you know, classic could have meant a lot of things--it's not important, let's do this!"

Aarna pushed back with some strength, testing Sakura at first, not wanting to go all in. She was using this, very much, as a test of Sakura's strength. Applying just enough pressure to keep up with whatever the Japanese girl was sending her way. "You have... some strength behind you!" offered Aarna with a good-natured tone to her voice. "I'd love to hear your workout regimen--later, not now, obviously. We're busy," continued the Indian girl, still testing Sakura with both of their hands clasped in the Test of Strength!

Sakura chuckled softly at heating Mehta's reply. Something that Sakura supposed was true, granted she hadn't really thought of what she considered a classic much before. At least not when it came to wrestling other than a test of strength. But either way Mehta still accepted the offer from Sakura and soon both girl were pushing against one another, starting off slow and building up, testing the pressure that Mehta was giving Sakura in response to her own strength!

Smiling with a nod and a slightly strained smile of her own as the exertion started to become greater Sakura would nod to the girl. "Hehe thank you! I definitely wouldn't mind a gym day thats just us." Sakura said brighty despite the contest of getting progressively more intense between the two. However regardless of who was stronger Sakura would end it, pivoting on her heel and turning, releasing Mehta's hands in the process as Sakura's arms switched to clasp around Mehta's head to try and go for a tight side headlock!

Aarna's expression softened when Sakura offered to go to the gym with her. It was such a sweet gesture, and she hadn't gotten a work out buddy before, mostly due to her schedule. "Oh... Sakura, that is is nice of y--Ah!" suddenly, Mehta's head got yanked into a headlock, firmly pressing her skull against Higawara's side. It turned out the time for pleasantries was probably over, at least for now.

This was a basic hold though, and Aarna Mehta was more than capable of handling it. She grabbed Sakura around the waist and then backed up into the ring ropes behind them, using that momentum to send Sakura to the other side of the ring with great momentum, and more importantly forcing her head out from Sakura's hold! The Indian girl would move forward swiftly, hoping to meet her opponent mid-way to send her up and over in a vertical hip toss, aiming to send Sakura up and over her head.

Sakura smiled softly as she pulled down Mehta halfway through a sentence into her side with the headlock. It was a bit mean she knew, but it was the best call she could make in the heat of the moment so she all well she did what she had too. Besides she was more than sure the girl currently plastered to the side of her chest was understanding enough.

But if she was or not remained to be seen. For now however Sakura would have to learn quickly that the girl would not allow herself to be caught for long! Feeling herself forced backwards Sakura's eyes would widen as she was suddenly launched forward by the girl to the ropes! Turning instinctively and bouncing off them Sakura was launched right back at her opponent who was clearly waiting for her to bring Sakura down with a hip toss!

However Mehta would soon learn that Sakura was capable of her own tricky tactics as well! As she was taken down by the girl Sakura would hook her arm over Mehta's, using the momentum of the throw and a turn of her torso to try and pull her opponent off her feet and send the girl into the mat with a arm drag take down of her own to make sure both girls were on even terms laid out on the mat!

Aarna had succeeded in her hip toss--but only halfway! The Indian wrestler had her arm hooked and Sakura went down, Mehta was flung with her, landing on the mat in an arm drag and rolling back to kneeling position quickly with an arm on her back. She then scoped the situation. Her opponent was quick, and not just quick but quick thinking to boot. And the impact may have hit Sakura just a little bit harder, but Aarna wasn't about to waste any time as she wheeled around to the front of Sakura. "One sec!" yelled Aarna before she dropped down.

Then, she would attempt to grab Sakura in a front facelock, hoping to keep her wrestled down to the mat. She aimed to grind down Sakura this time while she came up with a game plan, knowing all that much more about her opponent as she did now. It was a basic hold, but she hoped it would do the trick.

So far the match had started off relatively even between the two, with more technical finesse than even Sakura had anticipated. With each attempt at a throw or hold the two had countered each other, slowly informing the other more about themselves and their styles. Managing to pull Aarna over her and onto the mat Sakura had attempted to get up herself, getting onto her knees before her opponent appeared in front of her once more!

"Ngh!" Grunting as she was trapped in the front facelock Sakura grabbed at her opponent's arm, trying to hit at her opponent's limbs, knowing how this hold could chip away at her. 'Got to do something!' Sakura thought to herself desperately. Reaching out with one arm Sakura attempted to swipe at Aarna's leg, hooking it at the knee while turning on her heel, attempting to pull her opponent off her feet and back first on the mat! If able Sakura would attempt to the push herself against the Indian girl to go for a pinfall attempt!
