Aarna Mehta was backstage, prepared for her upcoming match. She had thought about it, a lot. Possibly too much. Actually, entirely too much to the meticulous detail. Even the entrance was choreographed point for point, despite her trying to keep it simple. Not one to leave much to chance, she was doing her final stretches and pre-match routines such as light jogging, centered breathing, and then... Woman of Intention by Deap Valley hit and one of the women backstage came up and told Aarna she was up.
Mehta's eyes shot open and she shook her head. "Excuse me!? I wasn't to go out for another two minutes!" she exclaimed, grimacing before running to the entrance of the stage before jogging back to the stagehand. "Okay, but my make-up looks fine? Right? Right?" asked Aarna. As the stagehand went to respond, Mehta held up a hand and said, "Actually, there's no time! I'm going!"
And with that, Aarna raced out onto the stage with a red decorative cloth around her head and shoulders, and a white button-up, sleeveless, combat dress. She struck a few poses that may have looked cooler in practice than in action as the crowd politely cheered the newcomer before she began to make her way down the ramp, smiling but kicking herself for missing the timing she had planned due to her late entrance. She jogged up the ring steps and went between the ropes before ascending the middle rope and unfurling the cloth, holding it out over her back as she extended her arms and ultimately, she hopped out of the corner and then began to pace the ring idly, waiting for her opponent.
Everything would be fine, she told herself. Unless it isn't, she also thought. It wasn't a sure thing in Aarna Mehta's mind yet, but at the very least she could sort it out while her adversary for the evening made her way out.
