Past
Spoiler
Bron Ashkren hails from a long line of elite folkstyle wrestlers. The ranks of the Ashkren clan are stacked with NCAA All-Americans, NCAA Division I Champions, and Olympic freestyle wrestling medalists. Naturally, this meant that Bron was trained in wrestling from a young age---and much like his kinsmen, he excelled in this endeavor.
Bron seemed destined for similar glory. He studied chemical engineering at a Big Ten school, became an NCAA All-American his freshman year, and was an NCAA Division 1 champion during his remaining years. However, injury ultimately prevented Bron from competing in the Olympics.
After university, Bron went on to establish his own brand of cleaning products named "Clean Man" (later renamed to "Mr. Clean"). The brand was wildly successful, and can be found in most stores across the United States.
Despite becoming a successful businessman however, Bron never lost his love for (non-professional) wrestling. Unfortunately, this love of wrestling ultimately caused him a lot of anger. When he saw how professional wrestling was supplanting "real" wrestling, he viewed it as an utter affront to his worldview. All of his life, he had been raised to believe that grappling competitions were to be intense, stoic affairs. That wrestling was the purest form of grappling. That BJJ was for "buh-jay-jays". In Bron's eyes, professional wrestling was what occurred when entertainment supplanted legitimate competition. It was as if the art of folkstyle wrestling had been bastardized, its core techniques replaced with flashy maneuvers of little substance.
Bron could not sit idly by as the travesty known as "professional wrestling" proliferated. Thus, Bron joined up with LAW in order to "purify" professional wrestling and return it to its roots. Having taken up the mantle of "Mr. Clean", Bron seeks to carve a swath of destruction through the ranks of LAW so that the world may know what real wrestling is.
