Kathleen Hendricks vs. Hitomi Rodouko - Queen vs. Teacher (Apex Qualifying Match)

Post by TickTock »

LAW Apex. Possibly the most important event in LAW's history. To crown the ultimate championship. Not one restricted to any division, to any match type, or to how pathetic you were as a wrestler. No, this new title had no restrictions. As long as you were a woman, you could compete for it, the Openweight Championship. And gold... that was Kathleen Hendrick's ultimate goal. She was the best, she already knew that. She knew that she could crush anyone she wanted in LAW, be it snapping their necks over her shoulder and choking them out under her arm, she could envision each woman she faced suffering those same fates so easily.

But had that gotten her respect from her peers, the fans? No, they called her a cheater, a sadist, an egomaniac. Wins weren't alone to shut them up, they'd always find excuses as to why she wasn't their superior. No, you needed gold for that, championships, and initially her goal was the Middleweight Championship. To crush Lillian Bryne and build her new throne over her corpse with that gleaming silver belt on her shoulder. And while that may still be in the cards eventually, the announcement of LAW Apex and the Openweight championship was one that Kathleen couldn't pass up on.

Has everything worked out perfectly for her so far in LAW? No, it hasn't. A blemish was in her track record, one that were so insignificantly possible, the odds of which were equivalent to finding a needle in the Atlantic Ocean. But even so, even if it was legitimate, Kathleen had still proven herself to be a force in LAW, her first three wins up against potent heavyweights that had at least 50 pounds on the Queen. Yet each one met their Culmination, and each were pinned in decisive fashion. So while fans obviously rooted for other names who were qualifying, the QoD wasn't one to underestimate.

And now, it was time to add a fourth name to that list of hers. As Kathleen's opponent for tonight was yet another heavyweight, the blue-haired veteran and mentor, Hitomi Rodouko. Standing at 187cm, or 6'2", and weighing in at 170 pounds, she was a daunting opponent, with a significant size advantage over the Queen, and her experience far greater than hers as well.

Yet that was a familiar tale for Kathleen Hendricks, and not a worry was cast in her mind.

Her music soon hit in the arena, and the woman that the LAW audience grew to despise walked out from behind the curtain, her signature glare of superiority cast over them and the cascade of boos coming in.

Image

Walking her way down to the ring, ignoring the fans' thumbs downs and jeers and marching up the steps to get to the apron, and slide herself into the ring, before pressing herself up against her corner, gripping the ropes and eyeing the ramp for her opponent. No theatrics, just pure business. Kathleen had three qualifying matches to go to get to Apex to compete in one last match there, and only once she was announced the first Openweight champion, would she celebrate. But now, all her energy was focused on stomping out her opponents, and coming out next was her first.

Hitomi may not have had the best of fights, but she had won a fight, which might already be a good thing, her daughter really seemed to be giving her all to help, both the Rodouko gym and her LAW career were showing growth, though she sometimes worried about her methods, Jenny had gained strong partners and nice friends, but Jenny wasn't the only one who had done interesting things, meeting Miku gave Hitomi new things, as many allies as opportunities, and though Tashido and Miku seemed to want to get Hitomi into something weird, she wanted to do something first, and that something would be the open weight belt, so when her first fight was finally arranged to qualify, she would be ready, in her costume, in the open weight belt, she would be ready, in her dressing room, when Yukari arrived, soon she would get the report on Kathleen, noticing herself somewhat curious about her, seeing that she was entering the Heel classification, Hitomi was ready for whatever would be presented, so when it was finally her time to enter, she would take a breath before walking and with the sound of her theme starting, to play, Hitomi would appear, greeting everyone, noticing that there were fans of hers, both new to LAW, and a few that she vaguely remembered from her fights when she was younger, so then passing by and clapping hands with a few, she would finally step into the ring, seeing her Opponent and saying to him.

well Miss Kathleen, let's see what we're made of in this fight, good luck.... Although being a Heel, I don't expect something nice from her.
would say with a smile at the end

Hitomi Rodouko, respected in LAW for her veteran status and her acting as a mentor to others, though that wasn't the only reason. At quite the tall height and in the heavyweight division, she wasn't a joke of a competitor in the slightest, though as she walked down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans like a goody-two shoes, Kathleen looked at her as no better than the rest of the opponents she had faced, and she had looked down at all of them. After all, who could truly say that they were on the level of the Queen of Domination? Not many, if at all any.

And as Hitomi grew close as to exchange words with Kathleen, the Queen merely snorted at the sportsmanship, as well as that little comment at the end, twisting her wrists in her hands and cracking her neck. While maybe before she would've entertained the veteran with a snide comment of her own, this was to qualify for Apex, and get a chance to win the Openweight championship. There were no games to be played here, until Kathleen was declared the winner.

Once the bell rung, Kathleen moved in with her arms up to try and initiate a grapple, wanting to personally feel out Hitomi and see exactly what she was working with.

Hitomi knew before stepping into the ring that at least one dirty move from her opponent would be used, but Hitomi was not afraid of that, now she was determined, her daughter wanted to enter the event to try to qualify, and she did not want to be left behind, she knew that various types of opponents would await her, and what better than to fight against everything they throw at you and defeat them, and now that the 2 were ready, they were in a duel of forces, with Hitomi giving her sample that an easy and weak opponent.... She was not

Kathleen let out a grunt as she first engaged with Hitomi, and she could feel the larger woman's strength push against her. She wasn't about to outmuscle the teacher now, but she knew that even going in, the Queen just wanted an extent of how powerful Hitomi was,and she was getting that as her feet began to slide against the mat. "Grrh.."

Hitomi wasn't the strongest opponent Kathleen had faced-- Alaina or Thereisa would've likely bowled her over if she dared tried to lock up with them in a test of strength, but she was at least powerful enough to move the smaller opponent, and now the middleweight had to work a way out of this before her back hit the corner or the ropes.

Pushing herself forward, Kathleen wasn't trying to gain ground in the grapple. Instead, get close enough to Hitomi to drive her knee hard against the taller woman's gut, repeatedly if she must, in an attempt to try and bring the taller woman down to her size.

Hitomi was doing a good job, she knew her body was no longer ..... Fast, so her normal techniques were no longer a good option, knowing that strength would be the first thing to be tested, Hitomi managed to make Kathleen back up, that strength reminded her of someone, someone she faced several times, but everything stopped, when unexpectedly, Kathleen approached and attacked with a knee to Hitomi's stomach, she gasped, and before she could retreat, a series of blows to her stomach came, making her lose all the effort she made trying to take her to the ropes, but standing up, still trying to push Kathleen away.

Kathleen refused to get put at an early disadvantage like that, not in her first showing for Apex. She needed to pull out all the stakes in order to win, and while the Queen always tried her best to win each match she was in, this was a contest where she couldn't afford the slightest hiccup. And so, Kathleen grit her teeth and surged forward, pounding her knee over and over again against the gut of Hitomi, backing her up to the center of the ring.

And once there, the QoD tried to use her advantage over Hitomi to wrap the heavyweight's head underneath her arm, squeezing down tight onto it, before attempting her signature DDT, one that'd spike the teacher's head into the mat and hopefully get Kathleen in control.

Hitomi as she barely kept control partially in the grip with what she had, she would then be bombarded with attacks to her stomach, making her little by little more vulnerable, once she realized that she was pushed and her head ended up trapped inside Kathleen's arm, leaving her holding on to Kathleen to try to free herself, though that was short lived, She was just starting the fight and Kathleen was already putting her in trouble, but Hitomi would not give up such an important fight without being left with no other option, so she would be trying to move out of Kathleen's reach and get up, she was not so resistant anymore, but she still knew how to get up from the worst submissions.

After landing on her back and spiking Hitomi's head against the mat, Kathleen sat there for a moment, watching what the veteran would do. And it seems that she opted to try and get away from the Queen, though it wouldn't be as easy as that. Grabbing onto the blue hair of Hitomi, the middleweight got back up onto her feet and lifted her opponent into a sitting position. From there, the Queen bared her elbow and thrust it downward, right against the area between the neck and shoulder of Hitomi's, a sensitive point that she hoped would inspire great pain out of her larger adversary, before striking again.

Kathleen wasn't going to win in a bout of strength, so she figured she'd win via her brutal strikes and cunning strategy, and making sure that Hitomi was too battered to ever get any offense in. At least, that was the hope.

Hitomi after that fall, knew that Kathleen would really be a problem in the future if the fight went on too long, so she had to end the fight as soon as possible or the fight would gradually become harder and harder to win, to the point of impossible.

When she was about to get up, a hair pull from Kathleen would have put her in a position to be hit, but Hitomi would not give in easily, so when Kathleen was close to her, Hitomi would make a sharp push to get away from the self-proclaimed Queen, if that move worked, Hitomi would go full force for a direct kick to Kathleen's stomach, but of course, everything depended on avoiding Kathleen's elbow, or else she would be paying the price for her move and end up in some other move.
