Stepping into the Dragon's Den: Sumire Yoshizawa vs Drasna Selinofoto

Unread post by Aqua »

Sumire was backstage preparing for her next match. This was looking to be her hardest match to date. Sumire was going up against Drasana Selinofoto, while she was a retired veteran coming back. Drasana was still a veteran nonetheless it wasn't just that. Just with a quick glance at some old videos, Drasana would make Sumire look like a child in terms of their bodies. Despite the odd being against her Sumire couldn't give up before the match started, and she wouldn't give up during the match. If she just applied her skillset in the right way she could win this match.
Okay Sumire you got this, think of it like any other match. You have at least one thing over any opponent. Sumire said hyping herself up. Doing some light jumps to get her blood flowing and keep this energy going.

Officials would approach Sumire and tell her that it was time to make her entrance to the ring now. Thank you, I'll get ready now Sumire said getting into position as she waited for her cue. Despite having some matches already under her belt Sumire would still get nervous making her entrance. But there was nothing she could do now but make her entrance. The lights would go out in the arena, with searchlights being placed on the middle of the stage. With the music playing, Sumire would run out and do several flips finishing with one final flip doing the superhero landing pose in the spotlight. The crowd eating the moment up with the lights coming back on now. Sumire now would stand up and start to wave with a smile on her face to the crowd. HELLO EVERYONE THANK YOU FOR COMING Sumire yelled as she ran down the ramp. Keeping her focus throughout her run, once reaching the ring Sumire would jump up high in between the top and the middle rope. Expertly rolling upon her landing.

That was not all though, for the final moments of her entrance Sumire would run to the closest corner. Climbing it to the very top and showing her expert balance. Doing several poses as if this was a ribbon performance. Adding more to it Sumire would keep on going, this time while doing a tight rope act along the top rope. Finishing it all with one final flip and sticking the landing. Some people in the crowd holding up 10 signs which was grading Sumire's performance and landing.

Moving now to the other side of the ring and adjusting her mask. Taking a deep breath, all that was left was for Sumire to come face to face with her opponent.

Drasna smiled and watched patiently as she watched the entrance of her young opponent on a screen backstage near the guerilla position, an interest in her eyes as she observed the balance and agility of the lightweight. Dressed in a revealing blue outfit with toeless foot wraps and black fingerless gloves the Grecian woman was showing off her body and was proud of it showing hardly any signs of her age, especially as she watched someone half of it. "How interesting.. she should be interesting to see." She said to herself with interest before the entrance ended and she stood up in preparation to do her own.

As her music started the older woman would step out to top of the ramp to a mixed response. Posing proudly at the top of the ramp despite this Drasna was not affected. After all it was only to be expected after defeating an up and coming idol with a ravenous fan base in her debut bout. But she was getting a fair amount of cheers though which meant that at least a decent portion of LAW knew a proper wrestler when they saw one. Strutting down the ramp at a even pace with a confident expression on her face, quite the opposite of her opponent's fast pace and showy entrance.

Reaching the ring itself Drasna would walk up the steps and swing a leg over the middle rope before gracefully gliding through the gap to get herself in the ring. Nodding to her opponent as she did so Drasna would turn to climb up the corner and pose once again with her arms in the air to a decent round of applause from the fans before hopping down and turning to face her opponent once more with a confident smile on her face. Taking a few steps forward the woman would lift a arm up with her hand extended out, offering a hand shake for her opponent. "Hello! I am looking forward to a good match!" She said positively, hopeful to start off on a better foot with this girl than she did with her previous one.

Sumire waited patiently for her opponents entrance. Slowly but surely these butterflies in her stomach would be going away. That said the music began to play and it was obvious what was next. Drasana came up to the ramp posing proudly despite the mixture of cheers. If anything Sumire got a better reception which surprised her to say the least. Not that it meant anything, so she wouldn't let it eat her thoughts up. Drasana's entrance was considerably much slower than Sumire's. Granted with her speed that could've been said with anyone else. Speaking of Drasna, Sumire couldn't shake the fact that Drasana's attire was revealing to say the least.

Face getting a slight tint aside, Sumire shook it off as Drasana entered the ring. To say the size difference was major would still be understating it. Not only was Drasana old enough to be Sumire's mother. She made Sumire look like a complete child in the ring with her. Trying her best to keep a normal face Sumire just nodded along. Taking a deep breath as Drasana was bringing in more cheers.

Afterwards she would extend her hand. Seemingly in good faith, Sumire not meeting a bad character yet here would have no reason to be wary. Extending her own hand out to grab Drasana's for the handshake. Hello! I am also looking forward to this match. Sumire was able to get out. She wanted to say more but was worried she'd just trip on her words.

All that was left was for the match to start, and for that. Sumire would wait patiently after the bell and see what Drasana would come out with. Not looking to get into any sort of grapples that put her in a bad spot.

As she entered the ring Drasna would look over at her opponent, taking notes of the lingering effects nervousness and anxiety left on her face and the signs of worry that permeated her. It was understandable really. After all to Drasna's knowledge the girl was still rather young and inexperienced in the ring where as Drasna had almost more than two decades of experience within the squared circle.

But at least the girl seemed capable of acting in spite of such emotions and step up to shake her hands. Smiling warmly in response Drasna nodded to the girl sweetly. "Excellent! Do know I have issues holding back so get ready!" With that and a firm handshake Drasna released the girl's hand and stepped away with a bounce in her step as she put her hands up in preparation.

Soon enough the bell would ring, starting the bout between veteran and rookie. Stepping towards the girl Drasna did a circle around the girl, analyzing the girl's stance and movement, trying to deduce the strength and level of Sumire's guard.

However Drasna wasn't one exactly known for her patience, at least in terms of offense. Darting forward suddenly Drasna would approach as if she was going to go for a traditional collar and elbow tie up. Instead however Drasna would go low, aiming to wrap her arms around Sumire's leg and, if she was successful, the mature wrestler would pivot on her foot and pull up the lightweights leg suddenly to try and pull the redhead off her feet and knock her down to the mat in the process!

The match now starting Sumire already knew she was behind. It was something she knew coming into this match, but letting the thought sit in her head isn't going to do anything. All Sumire needed to do was focus on what was in front of her. Regardless of their differences Sumire knew she had her strengths. All she needed was a reminder of this fact.

Drasana would start out slow by circling Sumire and trying to figure out her way in. When nothing was happening Drasana would break the silence by pushing forward trying to grapple. Sumire was already dead set on not grappling with Drasana. Trying to maintain a safe distance between them, just to see Drasana shoot low and go for Sumire's leg. What a beautiful thing it is to be young, Sumire was so much faster than Drasana. Able to get her leg out of harm's way. Making matters even better Drasana was in a low enough position for Sumire to show off her striking skills. Namely boxing here, shooting out speedy but strong hooks to Drasana's jaw!

Drasna watched Sumire carefully as she moved in on the smaller redhead. She was old and smart enough to know that the girl was smaller and as a result faster than her. The natural trade off for greater size and natural power. Sure enough as Drasna went for the girl's leg she was unsuccessful with the red head managing to pull herself out of harm's way and instead try to meet the dragoness with a flurry of blows aimed at her head.

However you didn't make it far in this business without learning how to deal with different types of opponents. In this case against Sumire the more mature woman knew just what to do. Keeping her head low to make aiming difficult for the redhead Drasna would shoot forward, directly towards the girl! Her aim being to keep herself within Sumire's guard. Preventing her from getting the space she needed to build any meaningful offense and making it difficult for the girl to land her punches due to the height difference. More over however Drasna was attempting to shove her body directly into the girl's, trying to shove her all the way into the corner!

Sumire knew that she would have to keep a good distance against Drasana if she wanted any chance on winning this match. Naturally she used her speed against Drasana who tried to go for Sumire’s legs. Her own response would be to fire off her own blows to Drasana’s head. Almost like a script Drasana knew this was going to happen and kept her head low. Not much lower than before but at a height that made it hard for Sumire to get a good power shot in. But that didn’t mean she couldn’t rain down some punches on Drasana. At least some of them had to have done something.

Regardless of damage Drasana charged forward. Shoving her body into Sumire’s. Agh Sumire grunted as Drasana used her body as a ramp to push Sumire into the corner. Here Sumire would recoil hard from the shove, either falling right on Drasana or falling on all fours if Drasana let the gymnast fall down.

Chargin in through a rain of blows Drasna was successful in colliding with her red headed opponent, practically picking the girl off her feet and taking her back first into the corner with a good degree of power that surely sent the girl rocking from the impact alone.

That being said though its not as if those blows hadn't hurt they most certainly did. In fact Drasna could already feel those areas swelling and was cringing in pain at that, knowing she'd have to ice those areas later. But that just meant she would have to make the most of the opportunity taking that pain had afforded her. Feeling the chest of her opponent drop down onto her back Drasna would smirk from her bent over position, a idea forming already.

Pushing her head further she would grab Sumire's hips, lifting her body a bit as Dransa place her head between the girl's legs and further setting the smaller woman onto her back. But it wouldn't last for long. With a sudden push up from her crouched position to a standing one Drasna would attempt to throw Sumire clear off her and into the mat behind her with a backdrop suplex!

Despite Sumire’s counter, Drasana just powered through her punches. Laying into the her and flattening her against the corner. Sumire falling forward on Drasana’s back as a result. Drasana would show her experience as she was going to make the most of this position.

Sumire felt her hips being grabbed as her body was being lifted. Not only that, when Drasana put her head between Sumire’s legs. Sumire’s face would start to be the same color as her hair. What, are you doing?.... Sumire said worried, as the giant carried Sumire on her back. It was if Sumire was a light gym weight to Drasana. At least she’d have her question answered soon as suddenly Drasana shot herself upwards. Standing upright, but at the same time tossing Sumire right off her back and onto the mat.

Despite being a gymnast, Sumire flying this time was not because of herself. She didn’t even have a good starting position. Getting sent clear off onto the mat, letting the gymnast bounce on the mat as she held her back screaming in pain.

Drasna's daring counter to Sumire's counter had paid off. Turning around to admire her handiwork the older woman would nod to herself liking the position and look of pain on the red head's face.

"Mhmmm not the most durable ah?" Drasna would ask as she walked around the girl before reaching down, aiming to grab both of her wrists. If successful the older woman would pull the girl up into a seated position. If successful in doing so Drasna would hook her arm over Sumire's head before reaching down to grab the edge of the girl's attire. Should she be able to do Drasna would stand up, hauling the girl up into a vertical position!

If she managed the set up successfully than Drasna would hold the position, showing off her power at Sumire's expense, in turn showing off the girl's body. Bur should Sumire not capitalize on the brief break then Sumire would allow herself to fall back while throwing the red head down, aiming to drive her into the mat with a delayed vertical suplex!
