Style: Experienced Technician (Puroresu) - As Gunner Ellie, Eleanor honed a skilled, all-around style that saw her take a technical focus. Her submissions are especially strong and creative. Generally, she'll never approach the same spot or move the same way twice, fighting with flexibility depending on the opponent.
While Eleanor generally wrestles for fun, she still wants to be competitive in LAW.
Strengths: Owing to her experience and skill, Eleanor's repertoire includes almost every hold in the book. She can quickly transition from one hold to another, from defense to offense, from anywhere in the ring to right on top of you. Eleanor is also deceptively strong given her somewhat lanky frame, so don't count out her powerhouse moves, which she finds herself relying on more now in her relatively older age.
In her old promotion, she was commonly booked in hentai matches; combined with her experience as a sex educator, this means that Eleanor is particularly strong in lewder match types.
Weaknesses: Even during the 4+ years where she wasn't actively wrestling, Eleanor stayed fit enough to handle herself in the ring, but she isn't the peppy young Gunner Ellie anymore. As such, while she can still do agile moves such as rope walks and high-flying assaults, they are certainly the slowest and least effective parts of her arsenal. Additionally, even at her peak in her large indie promotion, she never became a top-flight wrestler. While her experience gives her a solid chance against most anyone, she can be overwhelmed by superior skill or strength.

Eleanor performs a butterfly-hold pedigree. Once her opponent hits the canvas, she then rolls over to lock in a Figure-Four Headlock/Code of Silence, while keeping her grip on one arm. This puts pressure on their neck, core, and outside shoulder.

Eleanor sets up a splade/leg spread on a prone (belly-down) opponent. She then rolls up their body, bending them in half, before fingering them into submission.

Personality:
For much of her life, Eleanor has been held to high standards of personal conduct, whether as a highly-marketed face for BCLW, a well-known advocate for countless causes, or the Mayor of San Francisco. Now, she yearns to live as a free spirit, unshackled from those expectations. Though her excitability has been blunted by years of burnout, she is still the same friendly face that she's always been. It's just that she's more aloof now, as well as slightly jaded.
Eleanor also has a soft spot for younger and less experienced wrestlers, especially those down on their luck or experiencing self-doubt. She can't help but see herself in them, stoking her natural desire to mentor and lead.
This is just one example of how deep down, Eleanor still retains some of the fire she had as Gunner Ellie and as Mayor. While she mostly joined LAW to let loose and have fun, Eleanor certainly still has the capacity for ambition. Time will tell if those flickering embers will rise to flame once more.
Biography:
Eleanor Gray started wrestling under the name Gunner Ellie at age 18, as a senior in high school. Owing to her youthful exuberance, sunny disposition, and growing skill, Eleanor quickly became a well-known face in San Francisco's Best Coast Ladies' Wrestling (BCLW), one of the largest indie promotions in the United States. Her chipper, positive attitude was authentic, not made up for the ring, and she captivated audiences with her own cute version of grit and determination. She had a reputation for fighting in all sorts of matches, she was a particular fan favorite in hentai matches, where win or lose, she always put on a good show.
Eleanor wrestled throughout college as well, where, eager to learn more about the exciting and sensual world of wrestling she'd come into, she majored in Media Studies and minored in Gender and Sexualities Studies. Through her studies – as well as by virtue of being a hentai wrestler in America's kink capital – she came into contact with many pornographic models, strippers, and other sex workers. Always excitable and ambitious, Eleanor soon became a prominent advocate for sex workers' workplace safety, contract rights, and similar causes, while dabbling in sexual wellness education.
Over time, Eleanor became a well-known advocate and organizer for a variety of causes across San Francisco and California. Some popular, some stigmatized, but all near and dear to her heart. She continued wrestling as well – until, that is, she was persuaded to run for Mayor of San Francisco by some of her fellow activists. After a long,emotional, by-the-seat-of-her-pants campaign that involved way too many Fifty Shades of Gray jokes, Eleanor Gray narrowly won the mayorship, becoming the youngest to ever hold that office.
Eleanor's tenure as mayor started slowly, as she took some time to get used to being in a position of real power. However, her willingness to learn and connection to activists across the city led to her growing into the role and having a solid tenure. She relished the opportunity to do some real, lasting good for the community she grew up in.
Unfortunately, Eleanor did not finish even her first term in office. One day, she was caught hooking up with a major campaign donor. Of course, there was no actual sexual quid pro quo going on, but the optics of the situation led to quite the sex scandal. Eleanor's critics and opponents intensified the attacks on her character that she'd faced since the campaign, and she was forced to resign in disgrace.
It took 18 months for Eleanor to emotionally recover from her meteoric rise and fall. With a new lease on life, Eleanor Gray set her sights on her first love, the career that had given her so much earlier in her life: Professional wrestling. With fame and infamy alike, it wasn't difficult for her to attract the eyes of LAW. Now armed with a renewed self-confidence, Eleanor has abandoned both the Gunner Ellie name and her past tenure as Mayor of San Francisco, ready to start over in a new land.
