Skylar smirked, nailing Cecilia in the stomach with a hard kick. She talked big, but didn't seem like much. Maybe they could grab a drink after Sky was done beating the ever living shit out of her. With a cocky grin, she shot her fist towards Cecilia's mouth... only for it to be grabbed as she was pulled down to the mat! The brunette grit her teeth as she felt her sparring partner apply a firm armbar!
"Ghhhh-!" She groaned, squirming around to no avail. Setting her sights on Cecilia's legs, she swung her free fist to punch her right in the knee!

Re: The Start of an Unlikely Friendship
That first hit was a lucky shot, Cecilia grumbled to herself. Skylar had the advantage of being a new face to Cecilia, one she hadn't yet become wise to and one she didn't know how to outwit - or to break. Of course she was going to be unpredictable. But once Cecilia warmed up to her, when she learned her tricks and how to exploit them...that was when things would start turning around.
Skylar's fist came swinging toward Cecilia, but this time she was ready. She took hold of the girl's wrist and pulled her forward, swinging her off her balance and sending her crashing to the ground! From there, Cecilia was able to throw her legs around Sky's arm, anchoring it in place as she applied torque to her joints to pull and pry at her shoulder!
"Is that really all you've got?" Cecilia muttered. "You're embarrassing. This isn't even one of my better holds." But what Skylar might have been lagging in when it came to mental aptitude, she could well make up for it in strength and ferocity! Her fist swung out in an arc, aimed right at Cecilia's knee, where it landed with a crack! Hissing through her teeth, Cecilia let go of Sky's arm, rolling to her side and clutching at her leg to try and dull the pain. It still stung - which only made her clench her teeth in frustration, knowing how much Skylar was able to outdo her with what seemed to be barely any effort at all!
"Lucky shot..." Cecilia hissed, crawling her way to the ropes. She'd keep believing that - she couldn't bear to consider Sky being better than her at anything.

Re: The Start of an Unlikely Friendship
Skylar rose to her feet, a smirk on her face as her rival did the same. "Sure 'bout that, bitch?" She said, returning Cecilia's taunts. The moment Cecilia was back on her feet, Skylar shot her foot towards her stomach in a hard kick, before hooking her arms in a double arm DDT! If this succeeds, Skylar rises to her feet wearing a grin. "Who's embarrassing now?"

Re: The Start of an Unlikely Friendship
Cecilia had gotten back up, and she rolled out her shoulders, working the tension out of her joints before she bent at the knees to guide herself into a stance. She tossed her head back and forth, but when she set her eyes back on Skylar, it was with a huff. "Anyone ever tell you you run your mouth an awful lot?" she grumbled. "Someone should do something about that..."
She closed in on Sky, moving to close the gap quickly as her arms shot out to try and ensnare her foe. However, Skylar was ready for her - and Cecilia was only walking straight into the path of her next attack! As Sky's foot kicked out, Cecilia came running forward into its trajectory, and it landed with a thud, causing the silver-haired heel to double over forward with a groan. She bent at the knees to try and keep her balance, and her hands grabbed at her gut to ease the pain. But it wouldn't matter much, when Sky proceeded to grab Cecilia by the arms, bending them behind her back before dropping straight downward and spiking her head into the canvas!
Cecilia lay there in a heap. Flat on her face and with her head throbbing, she had little choice but to listen to Skylar's taunts - and they only fueled her determination more. She hissed, clenching her teeth and planting her hands against the mat before lifting her head to look up at Sky with her brow furrowed in a glare. If there was one thing Cecilia knew, it was that she did not like to be shown up. And she was not going to be embarrassed! "You haven't seen anything yet!" she snapped in defiance, before she brought a foot up under her, pushing off the mat to lift herself to her feet. There, she would come charging in at Sky to meet her with her arms outstretched to grab a hold of her shoulders!

Re: The Start of an Unlikely Friendship
As Cecilia charged towards her, Skylar met the other brunette head on, locking horns in the middle of the ring. The two wrestled, fought, headbutted, and trash talked each other all afternoon. Both women wanted to dominate the other, yet neither one could hold the advantage for long before their rival turned the tides.
Soon enough, Skylar found herself on the ground, panting like an exhausted canine. Her thin, white tank top stuck to her body, making it easy to see straight through, peering at the black bra that laid underneath. "Whew, Jesus fucking Christ you're tough..." She huffed out.

Re: The Start of an Unlikely Friendship
The effort had worn just as much on Cecilia as it had her sparring partner. Both girls had been committed to giving it their all in showing off all of their skills, and what had started as a chance encounter had become a fight to the finish, as they pulled out blow after blow and hold after hold, working every inch of their bodies. It wasn't long before they realized they were evenly matched, and every time one of them thought they had secured the upper hand, the other was quick to turn things back on them. Skylar might have been eccentric, Cecilia realized, but by no means was she a pushover. It almost made her respect her - just a little.
By the time Sky was flat on her back, Cecilia was right there next to her. She panted for air, her hair plastered with sweat to her forehead; her arms were crossed over her stomach, with the hem of her tank top rolled up just enough to let the cool air meet her abs as her sides moved in and out. Cecilia wasn't one to accept being dominated by anyone - but in Sky, she saw someone who just might be her match.
But that was when she noticed something else about Skylar. Even now, she didn't seem to be gloating, nor did she hold any resentment for not being able to best Cecilia. She knew that she had fought Cecilia to the end of their reserves, and all she could feel now was a sense of respect for her and her skills. Cecila rose her head from the mat, looking over at the brunette, and a sly smile crossed her face. Having someone as strong as Skylar on her side, and willing to cooperate with her...didn't seem like such a bad deal. Maybe she could use that.
"Yeah...you too," Cecilia said. "Maybe...I underestimated you." She bit at her lip; giving praise to anyone seemed foreign to Cecilia. But she had to get on this girl's good side somehow, if she wanted to take advantage of this. "...You ever thought about being in a team? Because I think you and I could make it work." She raised a hand from the mat, offering it to Skylar.

Re: The Start of an Unlikely Friendship
Skylar panted, exhausted as she laid on the canvas. Cecilia had given her a hell of a fight, and one that had conclusively ended in a draw. Her heartbeat slowly eased, her stomach heaving up and down. She considered Cecilia's offer. She'd been in tag teams before, namely with Sarah. But, Sarah wasn't too active of a competitor in LAW, mainly wrestling back in the states. And Cecilia had proven herself as an extremely tough fighter. Skylar could definitely benefit from having her by her side. She reached up, and tightly clasped Cecilia's hand. "Let's fuckin' do it." She grinned. "But don't think this is done. Next time we tangle, I'll knock your ass out."

Re: The Start of an Unlikely Friendship
Sure enough, Skylar was on board with the plan - and a smile came to Cecilia's face at the thought. She had seen, in the brunette, a woman capable of going toe to toe with her and matching her move for move, and while her personality was...interesting, the important thing was that she hadn't decided she hated Cecilia right from the get-go. In fact, even now, she was eager to make the team official. That meant Cecilia had a tough, violent, and above all, loyal woman on her side - just what she needed to tip the odds in her favor wherever she might need to. Already the cogs were turning in her head, considering the possibilities. Yes, this was going to be fun.
Cecilia nodded to her, extending her hand to clasp it against Sky's own. Even when she could barely get to her feet, she could still lift herself up just enough to take Skylar's hand, and from there, to grasp it in a firm embrace as she gave it a shake. She looked back over her shoulder at her, and while Cecilia didn't usually smile...she figured she could afford it, just this once.
"Sounds like a deal," she said. "Just take it from me...you won't be knocking me out any time soon."
