Bats, Blades, and Bushido (Hakune vs. Saya)

Unread post by dlamp »

Standard Match
Win via Pinfall, Knockout, or Submission

Hakune was... nervous about this match. Not only because it had been a while since she had hopped back in the ring, but her opponent for this match was apparently a bit of a wildcard. An opponent who seemed to be most known for using a bat in the ring back in some amateur leagues and tournaments. And that had the samurai a little spooked. It wasn't that Hakune couldn't take a few hits, her previous matches would prove she was at least somewhat hardy. But... weapon usage was another matter entirely. Despite the fact that she appeared on stage with a sword at her waste, Hakune had never once used it. It was a prop, a plastic sword meant to capture the samurai feel, and she wouldn't sully her honor as a wrestler by using it in the ring. No, she was here to test her mettle against her opponent in a clash of wills and techniques. Not... metal.

"Yosh! I can do this!" She slapped her cheeks, looking herself over in the mirror before taking a breath. There was no time for hesitation. She had to steel her nerves and march forward to the battlefield!

and as her theme kicked on the the flute and drums started to settle in, a puff of white smoke and mist covered the stage entrance. The crowd in a murmur of a confusion. Then, just as the crescendo of her theme started to the guitars, a line flashed within the smoke. The white veil immediately faded, reveal the Red Samurai just as she sheathed her sword, a wave a cheers erupting for her. Hakune smiled, happy to see the crowd still with her despite her losses, still cheering her on to get a victory and prove her bushido.

She waved and smiled as she made her way down the ramp, stopping right at the edge of the ring before setting down her sword. With that done she entered the ring with little trouble, giving a bow to the audience as she reached the center before moving to her corner and waiting for her opponent.

Who knows, this might be a good match after all.

As Saya was getting ready for her upcoming match her mind dwelled around her manager. That stick-up-her-butt of a woman was new to all the managing stuff, but she had diligently got the idea of what Saya wanted. It really looked that Hanari wasn’t going to get in the way of the batting girl and was going to be a supporting figure to her. Not only that, that manager was actually good at finding Saya just the kind of rivals she wanted and after some small research that night wouldn’t be an exception since Saya wanted to get those heavy-gimmicked wrestlers who had all the people’s attention and give them a little bat love.

As she walked backstage in waiting for her turn Saya could overhear her rival’s entrance theme and the crowd’s reaction to her. She was a total crowd pleaser, just what she wanted. After she had done wacking that one Saya’s own reputation would skyrocket and she would be the one getting that people’s love. For someone else it could sound as a sad motivation, but for Saya it was life. When the final notes were playing the batting girl knew it was her time to make her appearance.

Making her own entrance, Saya would confidently walk towards the ring while she would playfully swing her bat forwards and backwards as she was walking. That was aimed to get everyone’s attention at the fact that she was taking a weapon to the ring. Of course her attitude wasn’t as rewarded in cheers as her rival’s, but there were some people willing to give some love to a rowdy one, and those people were the ones Saya wanted to rouse.

Once inside the ring Saya walked to the center of it and struck a batter’s pose, swinging as if she was hitting a home-run and then pointing with the end of her bat at that tracky rival she was facing. “Hope you are ready for this samurai.”, she issued a challenge before going to her corner and after kissing her loyal bat put it out of the ring, always in reach. Then looked at her rival once again. Breaking a samurai in front of a crowd like that would definitely build a reputation for Saya.

“This is going to be a good night.”

And just as Hakune settled into her corner her opponent's music came on and her visage came into view. A surprisingly cute girl came down the ramp, one with a playful and cocky expression, a sort of hotshot type of persona from Hakune's view. Though... once the samurai saw the bat in the girl's hand her expression sharpened. She watched her opponent come down the ring, her eyes focusing on the bat. The rumors and information was right. This really was another rowdy villain, and one that might need to taste justice's blade.

Well... fist, Hakune wasn't going to cheat after all.

And for all her playfulness as she finally got into the ring and played to the crowd she was clearly another sadistic villain! She even made loving eyes at her vile weapon before putting it away!

Hakune eyes focused on Saya's face, examining her. She was fair enough to at least put the would-be weapon away, so maybe the bat was just a prop. Still, no telling until she traded blows with her. So, she stood tall, eyeing her foe carefully with a wary glance. She was confident, but whether it was in her actual skills her villainous methods time would tell. But that didn't matter, Hakune would face this villain with all she had!

"I'm more than ready, Saya-san!" She announced. "I expect your best very for this match!" She pointed a finger Saya's way. "For I'll strike righteous into your spirit!" At that declaration, the crowd cheered for their little hero, Hakune smiling with confidence at the adoration as the ref called them both to the center.

When approaching the ring Saya was in the proper mindset to get some fun and teach that goody-two-shoes of a rival a lesson in wrestling, but now that she had her first taste of Hakune she could only roll her eyes back in disbelief. The woman looked like some character out of a stupid samurai drama! And the worst part wasn’t her poses or the way she talked about honor or righteousness, it was how the crowd bought all that bullcrap and responded so positively with cheers! Saya wanted those cheers for herself but being her own person, not a stupid one-liner archetype from a show.

“Ooooh nooo, my spiiiirit!”, she said in a mocking way while dramatically gesturing towards Hakune while rolling her eyes. “You can’t be serious with all that, but keep the act. I will show everyone the true you as I beat you up!”, finished Saya in a challenging tone while she got to the center of the ring, almost ignoring the ref’s indications as she menacingly looked at her rival. She was ready and raring to get started with that match so she could go all out on that rival who got on her nerves with that gimmicky attitude.

Hakune let out a huff, puffing up her chest as a show of courage toward Saya's taunt. The insult was far from new, and the batter's claim was almost laughable. Enough people already mocked her for her behavior and attire in the ring. Villains and miscreant alike always made the claim of breaking her warrior spirit and the majority of the time she could at least keep her dignity intact.

The true me... The thought had the Samurai frowning a moment before she too moved to the center, meeting the girl's harsh and violent gaze with confidence. Clearly this was a girl that wanted nothing more than to get violent and rowdy with the Hakune, just like the many previous villains before. And Hakune was more than willing to meet her blow-for-blow once the match began.

"Very well!" She announced, raising her hands in knife-like fashion as she took her stance. "Then I'll show you my true self through my fists as we clash!"

Saya couldn’t get more of that heavily-gimmicked way of speech Hakune had. Something that got Saya on her nerves was watching those goody-two-shoes face wrestlers all talking empty words about honor and righteousness while getting all the crowd’s love. What she didn’t like was all that gimmick they had because in her words it looked “so lame and fake”. Instead, Saya tried to present herself as spontaneous and natural, so she would follow her beliefs no matter what, and for the moment it looked like that samurai was asking for a bonk in the head with her bat.

“Uuuugh let’s start this already! God I can’t stand this anymore!”, Saya pressed the referee to begin with the match since she was starting to feel sick of Hakune’s speech that only looked like was getting more people on her side. Well, things were just about to change when Saya mops the floor with her rival. The bell rang and just as the match started Saya offered a lockup. She wanted to test her rival’s strength but of course she had some more ellaborated plan in mind in case things didn’t go as she expected.

And with the bell's toll, the match was underway. Hakune's body tensed, watching Saya with careful eyes. Most of her recent opponent were known to do shallow, cheap strikes at the start of a match. Play mind games, park insults, or other such tactics. But to her surprise, Saya offered a typical lock-\up. "... ..." The Samurai was still for a moment, looking over Saya, watching her eyes for any sign of deceit or foul play. But... the offer looked genuine. For all Saya's impatience and harsh words, she seemed to want to prove her skills naturally.

And Hakune was more than happy to oblige her spirit.

"Kite!" She moved forward, interlocking a hand with Saya's and her other with her opponent's shoulder and neck, a traditional lockup. And the moment she was connect Hakune using every bit of her body and strength to try and push Saya back and show her a Samurai's resolve!

Saya was so ready to test how strong her rival was. The batting girl didn’t consider herself proficient in terms of raw strength so she was always sure to have a backup plan in case any test of strength she gets involved in goes awry. And that was exactly what was going to happen as Hakune showed how she could really push. The initial test of strength started slow but suddenly became one sided, with Saya soundly giving steps back as she was losing bad. She had to do something before she could be pinned against the corner. It was definitely time for plan B.

As she was being pushed backwards by the stronger Hakune, Saya suddenly made a fall on her back, with the aim of getting to use her legs as she touched the mat with her back to launch her rival backwards in an unexpected monkey flip!

After a short trial between the two's strength, Hakune was slowly pushing Saya back! It was a few steps forward at first, but almost immediately the Samurai was getting the advantage! "Chestooo!" And she wasn't going to let the opportunity pass her by, pushing Saya further and further toward the corner to show her determination and willpower. Pinning her opponent to the corner and softening her up with chops and kicks would be the next phase, but Hakune didn't get the chance to plan that far ahead.

Before getting to the corner and initiating her plan, Saya fell back. "Wh-?!" Hakune nearly tripped over herself in her fervent momentum, nearly falling over the girl before Saya's legs carried that weight and momentum right over her in a shove and heave that sent the Samurai right into the air! "Waaaaah!" Shocked and arms flailing, the crowd gasped as Hakune was sent flying before crashing right near the corner with an ugly splat, the Samurai doing little to break or control her fall.

"Aaaghu..."

Saya was making a dangerous wager with her attempr of a monkey flip, but it bore fruit as her rival not only lost her footing but was tossed back by the batting girl’s legs just as she had planned, and what a way to splat on the mat that was. With a quick move Saya got back on her feet and walked towards Hakune with a silly hum. She was feeling great about that match.

“Oooookay, let’s see what all those fancy words can do for you now, Samurai-san... teehee.”
With a giggle and a singing voice Saya would stomp on her lying rival in order to make any will to fight she could have go away. Then, the batting girl would get a hold on Hakune’s scalp of the hair so she could force the samurai on her feet so she could toss her head first against the closest corner!
