Personality: competitive and playful, Mariposa can be as babyfaced as you can get. Willing to aid whoever in the ring whether it be helping them learn the ropes to saving them from a heel attack. Going as far as to garner a reputation of saving fellow faces even if it’s not her match.
Past/History: By day she is Lisa Hamilton. Former biology grad turned member of the medical staff at the famous AFW. By night she is the stunning luchadora La Mariposa. Mysterious masked wrestler and defender of all the baby faces.
However it wasn’t always like this. Lisa had a standard childhood growing up. Joining various sports teams such as track and volleyball. But she never truly found her passion until her best friend Tina convinced her to visit her daddy’s wrestling gym.
The sight alone was enough to hook Lisa for life and suddenly her time after school was in the gym learning all she could. Though she couldn’t never get a handle on Tina’s and her dads fighting style. But one of the trainers was a former lucha star from Mexico.
Under his tutelage, Lisa found her own groove in the speed and acrobatics of lucha libre. Over time even surpassing her mentor with her incredible skill. Enjoying a small run in the indies with her friend as her tag partner.
Then high school ended. And despite going to college, Lisa still tried to keep up her training. But when she graduated, even that began to pitter out as she looked for a job.
Eventually she would land one at as a scientist for a high end company. And for a few years she enjoyed a relatively quaint if monotonous life.
That is, until she found some skeletons in the company’s closet. Things that Lisa morally struggled to ignore. Yet as time passed, she could turn a blind eye no longer and began to work with the police to shut it all down. She began wearing wires and planting bugs until every little secret was found out.
Her efforts would eventually cause the company to go under as all the heads went to prison. Unfortunately, Lisa wouldn’t be able to celebrate as her testimony made her a lot of enemies.
Forced to flee her country, Lisa would find herself in Japan. Not long later would she land a job at a prestigious wrestling company as a nurse.
It was here that her love of wrestling was reignited. Knowing that going out with her face revealed on world tv would only lead her enemies to her. Lisa decided to don a mask and take a name her mentor had called her when she was training.
