A New Star! - Blaise and Asuka Wakahisa

Blaise has been leapfrogged before. He's even leapfrogged others! He's never had someone bounce off his head, though. Nevermind the fact that it's happening while he's airborne, whiffing the diving clothesline attempt! Genuinely surprised, he ends up crashing against the mat hard on his front, skidding a couple feet on his chest before coming to a flump.

And shortly after, even while sprawled on the mat, a pair of feet plant against him in a remarkably low dropkick. That impact rolls him over onto his back. "Guh.."

Her dropkick became a bit of a slide as it turned out. Leaping from a greater distance than she normally would have, she had to really guess the distance as she came down a bit harder and short of her target. She still managed to carry her momentum into the downed Blaise.

Any attempt to follow this up was foiled however as she scooted away on her backside, franticly rubbing her leg. No visible damage, just a sharp stinging of ring burn from dragging herself across the mat upon landing so hard. Yowch that was smarts!

She still found the time to talk big though laughing though her wincing. "Hah! Got you!" She poked her tongue out at him, feeling this put them about even for his sneaky arm lock earlier. "How am I doing, Mr. Wrestler Man?" Well, guess she hadn't quite forgiven him all the way yet, resigning him to his now alter ego by default.

Skidding along a ring is never fun, whether it be by legs or chest. Blaise is pawing over his, for example, after whiffing that clothesline. But now that things seem to've calmed a little, he props himself up on his hands to shoot her a not-at-all-sincere dirty look. "Kicking a guy when he's down. This world of ours...," he admonishes, complete with the antiquated slow headshake and tsking.

It's immediately dropped after, and replaced with that same bright smile she's been treated to so many times tonight. He's clearly not taking anything she's saying as an insult. In fact, praise is all he has for her: "You're doing great! No disappointments here!" He'd expect no less from someone who claimed to be so good! It just means he'll have to try even harder to get the upper hand.

Without really thinking about it, he rolls back onto his shoulders and kips up to his boots. The moment he's upright again, he rushes to close the gap between them. Arms raise to pull her attention up, whether to thwart an inbound grapple attempt or strike, but the real threat comes from below. The moment he's close enough, he throws a knee towards her midsection in hopes of opening her up for further punishment.

"Oh, so you ARE a guy. I didn't think to ask, so I wasn't sure or not." She snickered, though clearly teasing based on her tone. She puffed up her cheeks blowing out a long exhale, giving her thigh one last testing touch. She'd have to be careful about that. Rolling her weight back before she leaned forward, planting a palm on the canvas she started to rise. "Thanks." She paused briefly, catching sight of Blaise flipping back to his feet. Not just that, he was coming at her again.

She stumbled back, putting up her arms to intercept him, expecting another lock up, third times the charm, right?

Wrong.

Blaise's knee struck her dead on, driving the air from her lungs as she bent forward gasping. She had been caught by surprise, again, clearly not taking these skirmishes to heart as a bigger longer match as it seemed to have become. As she leaned in, her arms reached out to to grasp for a grip on his shoulder, another at his waist. She was unable to act on either, only seeking out a way to support herself as she staggered, still reeling from the blow. She was vaguely aware of how bad a position this was to be in, but unable to really do anything about it.

It's always a welcome feeling, that sensation of suddenly wresting control of a match away from someone. But even with as much a showman as Blaise is, this is only the setup to something bigger. And even now, he can feel Asuka grabbing at him in some attempt - vain as it might be - to mount a defense. So there's no time to waste!

With her bent over, he hooks his right arm around her neck to secure her cheek against his bare side. He grabs for her right wrist with his left hand to maintain better control of her, and he suddenly hops to pop her body into the air and rotates to slam her down hard on her back with a twisting neckbreaker! "Bam!"

She tried to set herself upright, to at the very least pull herself away but it proved fruitless. She let slip a small whine as he tugged her head up under his arm. Her wrists was guided away without the ability to grasp hold of anything. She winced in anticipation as her body was twisted, well outside of her control.

She came down as hard as he had intended with a grunt, back arching against the sting of the mat. His cheerful comments seemed like salt in the wounds of another mistake to her name. She really didn't feel like getting up, but knew she had to. She threw her arms up, attempting to separate the two of them before rolling to the side, trying to gather herself to stand again. Her eyes shifting back to Blaise, she had to make sure to keep her sights on him to prevent herself from getting blindsided a third time.

Following the impact, Blaise immediately rolls over onto his knees to face her, preparing to follow up and maintain control. But already the girl is rolling away and working herself up to her feet! Ahwell. It does nothing to wipe the smile off his face.

He raises to his full height with her and closes in again. No knees, no grapples, but Blaise aims to lead in with something he hopes will be sufficiently distracting and stinging. His right arm draws back and slashes out, aiming to strike her across the chest with a reverse chop!

She had risen to he feet taking a hopping steps back. Surprisingly enough he didn't move to charge again, instead opting to just stalk towards her. Asuka skirted around him in a small circle as he closed in, watching his body closely for a hint of what might be coming. He wasn't grabbing for, wasn't shooting out a foot to keep her over, she peeked in awareness as he arm drew up over his chest. She planted herself firmly, fairly confident she knew what was coming.

His chop clapped her across the chest as she grit her teeth. The flat slapping found would have been enough to make onlookers cringe. She remained resolute, determined to take him blow for blow. This was after all one of the great traditions of the sport, one she loved despite how painful it could be. She took the blow in stride, giving no more of a hint how much it had actually hurt past her wincing face and the hissing exhale through her teeth.

Asuka stepped in, drawing back her own arm, sucking in a long gasp of air. She sent it back down and across to fire back with her own knife edge chop at his bare chest. She wasn't sure how much her thin layers had helped to deaden his strike on her, but she was sure as hell going to get as much of him as she could with this.

The fact that, as far as wrestling goes, the girl was dressed quite conservatively wasn't lost on him. Granted, a large part of that can simply be chalked up to the fact that he's a guy, and she's an attractive female. But it's emphasized for an exchange like this. But nevertheless, he's undaunted. And when she seems to stand firm and defy the pain that must have come from the hit, he knows what's coming.

'Alright. Let's do this.'

Her hand strikes across his bare flesh, the sound snapping through the gym. He winces, jaw set, but doesn't withdraw. It inspires him to push further and ramp up the force behind it; to make her break and present him an opening. The smile is no longer on his face, replaced with a look of stolid determination and challenge. Those bright blue eyes affix to hers, unflinching. His arm chambers, and he shifts a foot forward as the chop slings rigidly against the girl's chest!

Asuka didn't suck this one up as gracefully, a more audible gasp of pain, her body reeling back a bit as it betrayed her intentions of seeing this through. Still, she persisted. Seeing Blaise's smile vanish had lit a fire in her. She hadn't been sure if the man had been toying with her all this time, not it all seemed a bit more real. She couldn't deny the excitement now that the both seemed invested in this.

She pulled back her hand, fingertips still a bit numb from how hard she had slapped him the first time. She had a mark, the bullseye she had already left on his chest which served as ground zero for this assault. She slipped in, retaking the ground she had lost when he had hit her. Her arm whipped back around to deliver another thunderous chop to his chest, shouting along with it to give it added oomph! "Huaaah!"
