Ember Days vs Achilles - Standard Match

One chop snapped across the iron wall and bore little beyond the crowd’s noise. The pain piled on, too much to relish. Her head shook, hair frenzied; features tightened into a knot, fists balled that punched the mat knuckles first. “Nnngghhh- fuck!” She dragged on her breaths in quick release, focused on them to numb out the sensation that crept to captivate her entire leg. It felt like it was about to burst. Then she reached over to his repositioned leg, gripped the ankle with two hands, and pulled up.

Achilles smirked at the bucking bronco in front of him, this fiery woman who was fighting desperately to get out of this hold as she was trapped in. She finally managed to move his leg and Achilles' grip on the lock was loosened enough for her to escape. Achilles rolled back to his feet and stood at a vertical base, crouched down as he waited to see what Ember would do next.

Freedom was an earned fortune. It’s not handed out but retaken as it once was stolen. There was a sense of earn when she seemed to break it, and she wasn’t swift to return to her feet. No, instead, she took a deep breath and scooted back with hands planted beside either hip thrust to gain much-needed ground. Then she rolled onto her shoulders, knees tucked towards her chest, arms folded back to press beside her head, needled through a pool of scarlet hair. She exploded into one gallant kick-up, carried by this sense of fervour that almost loosened a barbarian-like yell, though stayed tame beyond a “BOOYAH.”

One eye cinched shut when she landed. Pain bit into her lower leg, forced a hobble onto her tip-toes until she could relax it flat again. There was a numbness even then, something corrosive that feasted on the tendon. It didn’t matter now, as Ember thrust her arm up, fingers-flexed and curled, then opened again. A test of strength.



“Here, here, come on! I wanna see what those muscles are really made of!”

Achilles was already up to his feet when Ember showed off by recovering with a kip-up, which incidentally saw her gingerly relax the leg that he had locked in prior. A big mistake. She called for a test of strength and Achilles decided to oblige, locking his fingers with her until both hands were firmly gripped. Then the test began, the two pressing their chests together as Achilles vied to take control again in the match.

Her fingers tried to gouge into his hand. Knuckles turned white with sweat that formed on her palm. Her breasts pushed into his front as her back arched from his height. Strain came first into her wrists, then elbows, biceps and shoulders. It stretched down her back and put her front leg into a tremble. She bit her upper lip, cheeks filled with air and turned red until she skidded back a step. One step led to two, then three. Every retreat tweaked her back leg, which hobbled and shrivelled when weight piled on. Towards the corner they went, but Ember tried to yank to the side and turn them around, where she’d match forward, high on momentum and hopefully pin his back against the corner.

Achilles was pushing Ember towards the corner, slowly solidifying control once again only to suddenly find himself being backed into the corner. He was surprised at Ember's quickness, realizing too late that she had sidestepped him to reverse the momentum as he was pressed against the corner, now at a disadvantage.

The human-shaped wall of cast iron had been turned and put on the back foot. She grunted, huffed out and choked on her laboured breath, then pushed once more. All that strain came to bite her limbs; sap them until they tensed and trembled, and Ember felt a line of sweat on her hairline; but the achievement filled her lungs up with wind, so she wouldn’t slow down now. A hand combed through her red hair as she peered up with a grin. Both feet stepped onto the bottom ropes, one foot at either side of the turnbuckle. She mounted the second, one foot after the other, grabbed a fistful of his hair, kissed her white-knuckled fist and punched the sky. When it came down - it would thrust against his dome—one after the other. Knuckles be damned.

Achilles watched as Ember climbed the ropes and started hammering fist after fist onto his head, the crowd counting each fist in unison. After the fifth one however, the toned male grabbed her legs and looked to carry Ember a few feet away before driving her face first onto the turnbuckle.

Thrilling was the best word for this. The pumping heart, pain throttling the knuckles as they unleashed another blow. Might as well be punching brick. Each number was like a challenge, a high score that pushed her further. Five was her score. Then arms took her legs, and she left the corner. Her back stiffened, and this chill racked her nape as she placed hands on his shoulders to balance, only to gander forward and see the turnbuckle turn her world black. Disorientation was immediate; her head whipped as she groaned. Her body collapsed into the corner, and she landed on her knees, an arm slumped over the middle rope, her cheek nestled against the second turnbuckle. She looked out and saw triple, so she blinked rapidly, trying to refresh as her second hand came, touched the bridge of her nose, then underneath for any possible blood.

Achilles took a knee while he shook the cobwebs from his head.

"She packs quite the punch." He mused while knowing that his time to recover was short. Getting back to a vertical base, he grabbed Ember by her fiery mane and pulled her towards the center of the ring. Positioning her into a front face lock, Achilles hooked her arm over the neck and looked to lift her into a vertical suplex.
