Tia is waiting in the middle of the ring. It's been a while since she has been back at LAW since her injury during a brutal match against her heavyweight opponent, even feeling a small phantom pain coming from her cracked rib that put her on the shelf for a few months. But she has been given the clear to face a bright up and coming lightweight who raising up the ranks, something been wanting to do since she had arrived was to go up against the best young up and comers and see if they're worth the effort.

Soaking up the cheers and clapping of the fans. 'Thank you all for cheering me on my return. I make sure I put on a good showing for you all." Tia says bowing her head to the fans. That warm feeling of finally being home in the middle of the ring again, that feels sends waves of joy knowing that it could have all been taken from her.

Raquel heard of Tia and knew she was quite impressive although very much a different style than her fellow lightweight. Raquel was a strike and flyer who could put on a nasty slam when needed. Tia was all about making women tap out. This was going to be a fun contrast of styles! Clad in her white and light blue attire Raquel emerged into the arena as her music played! The crowd roared and her popularity as well as her confidence had began to soar as of late with her finally successfully rolling. Raquel was making a name for herself the right way and she hoped to again work her way back into the lightweight title scene or maybe even the open weight title scene!

Raquel swayed her hips and ran her hands through her hair before striking a few poses to not only show off her sexy body, but her powerful body. For 5'2'' 117lbs she had a good deal of defined muscle due to her hard work training. She was proud of it and had used it to pull off some surprise slams against heavyweight opponents to the crowds delight.

Raquel climbed through the ropes and did a lap around the ring before settling into her corner, stretching as she eyes Tia. "Ok girl, I hope you are ready for a real lightweight test!" Raquel said with a grin as she stepped to the center of the ring.

Tia can't help but sit back and watch her opponent make her way down to the ring. Seeing the woman shake her hips around and show off her toned firm brings a chuckle to the older woman face, but a toned body and pretty face is not enough to become a champion at any level, and tonight Tia plans on showing the woman what it means to reach those levels.

She pays no attention to the woman words. Making her way over to Raquel corner and stands in front of the younger woman, eyeing her figure closely, even walking around and sizing her up. "Toned...good solid core muscles you are." Tia would say, patting the woman abs with her hand and nods to herself. "Strong legs meant for a solid base, mostly either striking or in your case high-flying skills that I heard so much about." she would finish her observation of Raquel before giving the woman a wink and a big smile on her face.

"You're going to be a good one, I can tell... Come..." Tia would say holding her arms out wide as the bell rings in the background much to the roar of the fans. 'Prove to me that you're ready to take the next leap in your way to the title, Raquel. If not, you will fall like the others that have tried to reach those levels of Glory.' the challenge has been set as Tia takes a striker stance, eager to see what her opponent is going to do.

Raquel nodded to Tia and stood ready as the bell rang. "Girl don't you worry I am gonna show you what I can do and then some!" Raquel said as she moved in. Raquel wanted to send a telegraphed mid-kick right at Tia hoping her opponent would grab her foot and block it. That was part of Raquel's plan as once her initial kick was stopped she would jump up on her free leg, swinging it around to smash Tia in the side of the head with an enziguri to kick the match off!

Hearing the bold words coming out Raquel mouth. Tia can only hope that the younger woman is able to back up her mouth and skill in the ring, if not she is going to be very disappointed that she was nothing but all talk. But she knows that someone young like her opponent is going to try and prove herself as the better fighter, so she's going to show the girl that between the two of them Raquel is going to feel the pain after she is done with her.

Seeing the kick heading her way, Tia catches it with her hand able to stop it cold, but she knows what about to come next. Tia sees the jump and the enziguri kick heading to the side of her head, sadly she was not able to get her guard up in time to block up cleanly, taking the kick that sends her stumbling to the side. 'Damn nice your throwing out your big guns at the beginning of the match already.' Tia says rubbing the side of her head with her hand.

Raquel landed the hit but it wasn't a clean blow as Tia was still standing. Raquel had leveled many women with that when it struck correctly so she had the feeling she was in for a long night. "Yeah... good job staying up on your feet." Raquel said as she was already in motion. Raquel was now moving up and using her upper body to attack aiming to land a couple body punches before sending a hard jab right to the jaw! She didn't just rely on kicks and Tia was about to find this out as Raquel was trying to move and stick as quickly as she could.

Tia was able to regain her balance after stumbling a bit. That kick had a lot of power behind it and if she had been anyone else she would have been knocked out cold, or been close to it as she rubs the side of her head with her hand. 'Not bad, almost had me there you know Raquel?. Guess I am going to not hold back against you then it seems.' Tia says with a grin on her face. Her guard now up as she steps back to avoid the punches that would hit her body, but she over stepped, which she pays for by taking a punch to the jaw that sends her head to the side from the impact. It even knocks her down to her knees as the crowd is stunned that the former kickboxing champion is being out striking, by Raquel, who is showing a different side that they're never seen before.

Sticking her finger inside her mouth to make sure no teeth are knocked out. Tia keeps her head turned and spits out a small bit of blood and spit mixed together, due to a cut inside her mouth. ' Damn felt that one this time...' she says as she is slow to get up but is acting like she is baiting the other woman to think that she's not hurting that badly.

Raquel being younger and full of energy was always of the opinion that she always needed to be in motion. As Tia was slow to get up Raquel surged in leaping up and trying to send a leaping dropkick up into the upper chest or face of Tia as she was rising! Raquel wanted to keep working Tia over, non-stop offense to keep her off balance. The speedy grappler was hoping to tire her out enough to later surprise her with some power moves but for now she was trying to strike fast, strike often and strike hard!

Tia can't believe it right now. Getting beaten at her own game when it comes to striking by her much faster opponent. As she is beaten to the punch or in this case kick, as Raquel boots slam into her face hard, sending her through the ropes and to the outside. Her back slamming into the padded floor with a thud as she arches her body off the floor from the pain. The good news is that she is on the outside and that will allow her to plan her next move, but she will have to strike just as fast to beat her opponent to the punch first.

Rolling over onto her side, clutching her back. 'Come on, as soon as you climb out of the ring you are mines.' Tia thinks to herself, waiting for that moment her opponent takes one step out of the ring, she is going to rush forward and grab her leg and pull on it.

Raquel sees Tia staggering back up and is already on the move. She is near the ropes getting ready to roll out when Tia grabs her! Raquel underestimated Tia's speed and paid for it as she tries to send a few punches to her opponents abdomen to get her to back off. If this fails she is under control of Tia and stuck in a grapple with her which is not Raquel's biggest strength whatsoever.
