Drifter's theme music began to explode on the PA system at high volume, signaling the next match in what had been yet another knock out card for the LAW main show. Ever since the We Are LAW PPV, it seemed Drifter was making leaps and bounds in popularity with the fans! The crowd began to cheer loudly for the lightweight wrestler who had become famous for upsets against wrestlers of higher divisions! Given her rough and ready style and her tendency to take big risks and spots, Katherine Scarlett had quickly become a fan favourite for the fans, having the presence of the lovable underdog in the ring given the quality of wrestlers the up and coming rookie had been pitted against. Win or lose, a fantastic and energetic match was always a certainty with Drifter as one of the competitors.

As her music continued, Drifter's unique entrance began to unfold which by now was fast becoming familiar with many of her growing fans. Slowly, a pickup truck began to drive across the entrance platform, with Drifter sitting upon the edge of the back in her usual attire but also clad in a heavy coat, a beanie, and worn-out sneakers. Picking up a rucksack she hopped from the back and thanked the driver by tapping the truck before he went off, an entrance gimmick that made it looked like she hitchhiked here. It was a little bit silly to be sure, even by Kay's standard, but the crowd absolutely loved it! Who was she to deny them some fun?

She began to make her way down to the ramp with quite a stride after the entrance shenanigans, tagging fans hands with gusto and getting a massive cheer as she did so. It did not take long before she was at the ring, as she tossed her rucksack by the steel stairs and took off her coat, revealing a grey sports bra and jeans outfit with a red and black flannel shirt tied loosely around her hips. She took off her sneakers to go barefoot before she entered into the ring, flipping herself deftly over the top rope to show she had been working on some athleticism whilst out of the ring.

She quickly climbed one of the turnbuckles, throwing up her arms as the fans began to chant her ring name, all whilst her music continued to blur out on the PA systems throughout the arena. After taking a moment to drink in the energy, she hopped down and entered the ring, beginning to shadow box a little and loosen her shoulders in preparation for the match. Once Drifter was settled, the blue and black-haired beauty looked towards the entrance ramp where she had just come from... waiting for her opponent for tonight. As her music finally faded... it was time for the Black Butterfly to enter the ring...

Akari Fujiyami stood backstage. The broad, muscular teenager brushed her trademark jet black hair aside as she always did. Her hands were donned with fingerless gloves, her figure concealed in a hoodie as she watched the entire law event from backstage. This would be her first time fighting as part of a law main event, so she knew there was no way she could fuck this up and lose. She adjusted her classic black sports bra and kept watching the matches until finally, her fight was nearing to start.

She stepped out from backstage, still stretching, and watched her opponents entrance. A very loud, boisterous entrance, complete with lights, music, and even a whole entire truck driving through the arena. Akari scoffed.

"The only reason you would need a big entrance like that, is to cover up and hide your shitty wrestling skill," Akari thought to herself, her arms crossed. She watched her opponent, a woman named Katherine, cheer and rally the crowd. "The reason I don't do stuff like that," she thought, "Is because my ability in the ring speaks for itself." She stepped out and got ready to enter the ring.

"Hailing from Tokyo Japan, at 5 foot 5 and 119 pounds, its.. Akari.. FUJIYAMI!" the announcer called, signaling Akaris cue to step out. She lifted her hood, and made her way to the stage, her body still hidden under her clothes. She gracefully flipped over and into the ring, and pulled off her hoodie, revealing just how bulky she really was. Her sports bra left her muscular abs visible and didn't do much to cover a copious amount of her cleavage. Most would've called her a fair and downright gorgeous sight to the eyes. She smirked at her opponent, and tossed the jacket into the crowd, letting some adoring fan catch it and make off with a souvenir. She pounded her gloves together, and stared across the ring. Her opponent looked to be a similar height and weight, but older than her, which made sense, given Akari was still practically a teenager.

"Hey. I don't think we've met. My names Akari, who are you?" Akari asked, feigning politeness. In truth, the muscular teen really couldnt wait to get to fighting and tearing into Katherine.

Drifter managed a small and modest smile when Akari entered the ring, clashing her fists together firmly. In truth this was probably the first official match Kay had managed to be booked into that was lightweight division. She was yet to fight a fellow lightweight, having been pitted as an underdog against wrestlers of much greater weight class, even heavyweight wrestlers. Kay had become famous for giving one hell of a fight despite her size, win or lose she had come out of each of the competitions with a lot more respect gained. Today she actually got to face a fellow rookie in the ring, knowing little about Akari past that she was also pretty new to the LAW.

"Hey Akari. Welcome to the LAW. I'm Katherine... but most just call me Kay. How about we make this a good fight?" Kay replied when Akari was kind enough to reintroduce herself. She took a few steps towards the fellow lightweight wrestler, taking note of her appearance. She was certainly a marvel to behold, bearing a similar well defined build to Kay herself, with short jet black hair and angelic features. It was no secret that Kay was a lesbian with news coming out that she had begun dating Clara Gaster backstage, with the two having been spotted in various parts of town together. Naturally she could not help but admire Akari's form... but no other thoughts crossed her minds past a look upon the surface of the Black Butterfly.

Kay held out her fist towards Akari, no doubt fishing for a fist bump. It was a half trap of sorts however, as Drifter looked to get a feel for Akari. Though a rookie, Kay was no fool. She knew never to judge a book by its cover, for all Akari's initial pleasantries, a few fights in both LAW and past experience in prison and on the streets told Kay not to trust anyone when it came to fighting. A fist bump could easily turn into a strike, a handshake into a deadly hold. Kay had seen it all, and though she appeared relaxed on the outside, Kay was ready to counter if Akari tried anything. She did not know this girl after all... but Kay knew she was about to find out all about her as the bell began to echo out, signalling the beginning of the match.

Akari smiled, and licked her lips as she watched Kay from across the ring. Her opponent had similar muscles and strength to herself, and just as fair features.

"Saying welcome to LAW sounds like I'm practically new." she scoffed, "I've had my fair share of matches already, and Im probably FAR more experienced in this sport than you are, given that yknow, I'm a former world champion." she smiled cutely, hoping to play into Kays emotions and make her mad.

"The only reason girls like you have such big flamboyant entrances, is because they suck at wrestling and have to cover it up" she smirked.

Akari continued to wait in a stance ready to fight. She didn't bother to reciprocate Kays fistbump, waiting for the bell to ring and the match to start. Her plan was to take things slow, and hope that her wordplay had angered her opponent, making her a little more careless with her attacks, to allow Akari an easy counter.

The smile upon Kay's lips dropped significantly when Akari began to speak, letting her thoughts be known, but it did not vanish completely. All at once her opponent began to reveal her nature, quick to assert her superiority, before mocking Drifter over her entrance and refusing the fist bump. A few in the crowd began to jeer, watching the body language between the two LAW wrestlers, seeing that Akari was not playing ball with the rising face.

"Well... I think the real reason for those stupid entrances is to do with popularity or some dumb crap like that, but you are right about one thing... I do suck at wrestling." Kay retorted. Akari was not completely wrong at all. Kay was a fighter and survivor first and foremost, wrestling and the skill and technique rested below. Kay impressed fans through her tenacity and unreal toughness over her actual wrestling skills. Hence she wore the insult like it was armour.

She was not one to rise to quips and verbal jabs, that much becoming clear as her smile remained. Her time in prison a few years prior taught her all about sticks and stones and the common message that came with it. Kay lowered her fist and took a fighting stance when it was clear Akari had no intention of touching gloves. With the bell having rang already, the match was underway, and there was no reason to wait any longer. The crowd began to chant loudly, as Kay raised her fists upwards. Since training under Tia her form looked a lot tighter now... where Drifter had once fought with self-taught experience, she was now using actual stances and techniques for her striking game. The work was beginning to show, and Drifter slowly began to advance upon Akari, circling around her to try and take control of the ring and its space.

"So... you're a World Champion huh? You know how many World Champion's we have here in LAW? I think I've fought against two of them already... which one are you a World Champion of? Being a bitch?" Kay began to speak, before she moved in swiftly, looking to throw a series of quick jabs towards Akari. Kay revealed some of her experience in her standing game, not over committing, but clearly testing to see Akari's speed and reaction to her flurry.

Akari smirked confidently as she watched her opponents smile morph into somewhat of an angry scowl. She listened for drifters response and laughed.

"If you suck at wrestling then what the hell are you doing in the ring with me!?" She laughed and continued to run her mouth smiling confidently. "If I wanted I could have you screaming in agony on this mat in under 2 minutes. Don't fuck with my submissions. Wanna bet that Ill make you tap out and scream like a little baby?"

She smirked and got in her well rehearsed wrestling stance. It looked a bit odd in the ring, but Akari was going all in on her ground game so it made sense. Her feet stepped shoulder width apart and she stood back arched, arms bent and ready to lock up with Kay as the bell rang out across the stadium. The audience eagerly awaited excited to see what this matchup had in store. Akari watched Drifter carefully, her eyes narrowing as she honed in on her opponent, waiting for her to make the first, aggressive, move, after Akari had begun the match by berating her.

Akaris prediction came true, as Drifter began inching towards her. She watched her opponent, and waited for her opportunity to counter. Suddenly, in a flash, Drifter became a blur of motion, stepping forward and throwing three quick jabs right at Akari! Akari sidestepped just before the punches would have caught her, her reflexes saving her and providing her with the initiative once again.

"One... Two..." she thought, watching Kays strikes.

"THREE!" She reached out, and barely caught Drifters arm mid strike. She smirked.
"Looks like the weak little bitch here... IS YOU!" Akari cackled as she flipped Drifter in a well executed judo style throw, tossing her opponent over her hip and slamming her into the mat with all of her might. She hoped Kay would be stunned for enough of an instant for her to figure out what to do next.

The world seemed to turn when Akari was able to read her strikes. One moment Drifter was upon her feet, carrying herself after her own strike, before crashing and rolling upon the mat after Akari was able to impressively counter the oncoming attack with a strong slam that would have made a heavyweight wrestler proud. The impact shook Drifter to her core along with the ring, whilst the momentum carried Kay, making her shift along the canvas. Despite the horrendous slam, Drifter was impressively able to rise back to her feet almost as quick as she had been thrown down. The resilience she was known for in the ring began to show already, but it was more than clear by her expression that the slam certainly hurt her.

Her guard was lowered, one arm favouring her side as a wince briefly shot across her beautiful features.
"Heh... That the best you can do? My Grandma could slam me harder than that... and she's dead." Kay was able to quip, playing down the slam. The fellow lightweight was no doubt putting on a brave face, but the fact that she was no longer pressing meant that she was taking a moment to recover. The fact that she was still on her feet instead of writhing on the ground and stunned was a clue Drifter was not going to be easy to keep down.

Before long Kay was back in her stance, her eyes looking a little more alert and focused after being tossed so easily. Not one to shy aware she began to approach despite the poor opening she displayed, but the crowd were already getting behind the woman who was becoming famed as an underdog in all her fights. Once more Drifter began to throw jabs, giving the impression that the lesson had not been learned, but rather than commit, Kay tried to take Akari off guard, suddenly sweeping low, attempting a take down upon Akari where she looked to slam her into the mat in a form of vengeance.

Akari smirked as Kay gracefully flew through the air and landed, hard, and landed, rolling out of the crash and throw. The entire crowd jeered as Kay hit the floor, excited that the match was off to an intense start! Drifter got herself back on her feet, visibly shaken by the throw, her guard lowered to protect her side.

Akari listened to her quip and responded across the ring, "You look like the frail and weak one, the way you took that hold. You sure your not an old boomer yourself?" she giggled, and charged, hoping to steal the initiative from Drifter.

And then, she suddenly found herself hit squarely in the jaw twice quickly. "Gah!" she yelled in surprise, as she stumbled back, stunned. Then, she felt her legs swept out from under her. Like a sack of potatoes, Akari crumpled and collapsed to the floor. Her head hit the mat with a resounding thud, and she was briefly stunned, but truly for just an instant. However, she quickly came back, owning to her own tenacious nature and above average athleticism.

"Shit," the teen thought to herself, "I gotta turn this fight around as fast as fucking possible!" she tried to slide herself from on the ring canvas closer to Drifter, inviting her opponent to come down to the mat, where Akari was sure she had a major advantage.

Akari was quick to discover that the rookie she was up against was very dangerous when it came to her standing game. Drifter's strikes were quick, and even without the full weight she could muster behind them, they drove the Black Butterfly back, leaving her open for the quick take down that followed. The moment made the crowd pop to see Kay take it to Akari after her antics in the ring, with all the crowd quickly getting into this match tonight. The right thing to do for Kay after that would have been to retreat and get a reset, keep the fight on her own level where she was strongest and bring Akari back to the standing game. Such clever fighting however was not really in Kay's vocabulary. It was not to say that she was not clever enough for such strategy... rather, she simply found it boring to fight clever. This was wrestling after all... and the fans watching had come here to see professionals doing their best work.

As such, Kay liked to stick close and keep the fight going, and as such she remained on the ground, following up on her take down upon Akari to try and keep an advantage going. She did not know Akari excelled on the ground game... but even if she did, Kay still would still pressed anyway. She was reckless by nature, and that was not going to change tonight. Naturally she tried to mount Akari whilst she was down, seeing her slide towards herself and reposition herself ready to defend. Drifter looked to place herself upon the Black Butterfly's hips, no doubt putting Akari in a potentially dangerous situation. If successful, Kay looked to unload a few solid strikes towards her, aiming for her head and her body, looking to further soften her up.

Akari smirked as she watched Drifter approach to climb onto her and take her down to the mats. The raven haired teen knew that the moment Kay would get herself in range of limbs, Drifter would have a near impossible time escaping again. She waited and waited, like a hawk, stalking her prey, until finally, drifter came close enough, and knelt down, ready to get on top of Akari and keep the match going on the ground. Akari reciprocated, and scooched forward. sliding her legs around so they were facing Kay, moving into her guard, a classic BJJ position. She stared up at her older opponent and smiled cutely as, with lightning speed, her legs coiled around Kays neck like snakes finding their way to the perfect place to apply pressure, and she pulled her opponents arm through the hole. She had immobilized her her opponent in a painstakingly excruciating triangle chokehold.

Akari giggled at Kay from underneath her opponent, as the crowd jeered, excited and riled up at the matches building intensity. The cameras and broadcasters all zoomed in on her as she choked the life out of Drifter. Akari smiled and waved at them, putting on a show. She giggled, loving the attention and thrill of power she was getting from her position.

"How's it feel, huh Kay?" Akari laughed as the cameras recorded and she tightened the pressure more and more, ever so slightly, slowly choking Kay more and more. "Your getting your ass handed to you by a girl fresh out of college!" she half yelled, mid giggle. Her legs flexed and flexed, putting more and more pressure on the immobilized Kay... She was going to make Kay pay dearly for her decision to turn this into a grappling match
