Lightweight Clash: Raquel vs. Lu

Raquel was backstage in her alternate attire, primarily white with light blue instead of the usual pink and light blue/turquoise color pattern. The attire itself was an exact mirror of the usual though as the 5'2'' 117lb Raquel was no stranger to showing off her figure. She had some nice curves but her body was rock hard, and her muscle well defined. She finished checking herself out in the mirror making sure she looked perfect before making her way to the ring.

After a very rocky start capped by a failed bid to get the lightweight title in a PPV title match Raquel had come in to her own as she was largely rolling and winning unlike she ever had before in LAW. Tonight she was determined to keep up that momentum.

As her music began to play Raquel came out in to the arena to a loud cheer pausing at the top of the ramp to sway her hips before striking a pose, running her hands through her hair. Raquel began to saunter her way down to the ring, waving to the crowd and pointing to the fans before blowing a couple kisses to them. Raquel jumped up from the ground onto the apron in one leap, grabbed the top rope and faulted herself over into the ring. She held her arms out and took in the cheers of the crowd before settling in to her own corner again striking the same pose as she did at the top of the ramp running her hands through her hair as she awaited the arrival of her opponent Lu.

While waiting for Raquel to complete her entrance, Lu paced around in the locker rooms. Dressed in a cyan crop top jacket and blue sports shorts, she busied herself with her a flurry of speculations and contemplations. "Raquel Masters..." She muttered to herself. "High flier... Lightweight championship challenger... Damn it..." However, the arrival of a LAW official interrupted her train of thought. Now summoned to the ring, she had no choice but to bury her thoughts and head off for the arena.

She entered the stage to the beat of her music, her chin held high and her poise as stoic as she could manage. She stared at the ring and met Raquel's gaze, sizing her up even as Lucy made her way down the ramp. The welcome reception from the audience was lukewarm at best but it didn't bother her too much. She even gave a couple high fives along the way. Clambering up the ring apron, she slipped through the middle ropes and took her place at her corner. There, she passed the time with some arm stretches.

Raquel saw Lu come out and she could tell she was a bit apprehensive from the body language of her opponent. It was quite a stark contrast compared to the confident Raquel.

However Raquel smiled and nodded to Lu stepping out to shake her hand. "Let's have a good match babe, we will put on one hell of a show for the crowd." Raquel said.

After shaking Raquels hand or not the bell would ring and Raquel would circle Lu for a second before lunging in to strike first with a swift mid-kick across Lu's abdomen!

Lu was in the midst of an elbow stretch when she saw Raquel approach and offer a handshake. Seeing no reason not to, the bluenette shook her opponent's hand."Yes, let's." She agreed with the best smile she could muster. However, it wasn't long until the bell rung and their match officially started.

The blonde seemingly refused to engage with Lu, instead opting to circle around her. Remaining cautious, she kept her arm raised to protect her head or lock up for a collar-and-elbow while her eyes stared down Raquel. Even then, Lucy's reaction time failed to clock in the incoming kick to her stomach. "Grk!" She wheezed as she doubled over, already left in a vulnerable state after just the opening move.

Raquel saw Lu double over and she pumped a fist in the air seeing a great opportunity to continue her attack! Raquel jumped up and wrapped her legs around Lu's head leaning back to attempt to send her crashing down to the mat with a hurricanrana!

Even while gasping for breath, Lu put up a defensive posture with her fists raised. Suddenly, a pair of legs snapped shut around her head and before she knew it, the world turned upside down. "Gah!" A pained grunt escaped her lips as she was spiked head first into the canvas before she collapsed into a limp heap. If given a couple seconds to recover, she would attempt to roll to the ropes and try to pull herself to her feet, in spite of all the cobwebs in her head. "Damn it, come on." She urged herself as she forced her body to stand up.

Raquel saw Lu crawling to the ropes using them to pull herself up. Exposing her back to Raquel suited the lightweight just fine. At 117lbs she was near the middleweight border. With her muscle mass/definition at her size she was among the physically strongest middleweights on the roster often overpowering less fit mid-sized middleweights!

Raquel quickly made her way behind Lu grabbing her around the waist. The spunky red-head from Boston looked to lift Lu up and over for a rolling German suplex, keeping hold to position herself for a second consecutive German suplex! After the second Raquel would arch her back, keeping herself bridged to hold a hopefully stunned Lu down for a pin count immediately after the impact!

Lu quickly regretted taking her eye off her opponent. Seconds after she got to her feet, she was lifted off her feet and suplexed. "Gak!" However, Raquel didn't stop there, executing another suplex immediatly after the first. "Grk!" The crash landing left the bluenette in a dazed state, and more importantly it ended with her shoulders touching the mat. Soon enough, the referee dropped down and started the count.
"One!"

The referee's voice combined with the sound of her hand slapping the mat brought a sense of clarity and urgency back to Lu. Realising her predicament, she attempted to kick out by rolling backwards and onto her feet. If she did break out of the pin, she would retaliate by lunging at Raquel and try to hit her with a flying lariat.

Raquel felt Lu kick out before two which genuinely surprised the red-head who had been cruising along so far. Raquel shook her head getting up and readying a kick but as she swung a leg up Lu was already in motion! Raquel was smashed across the chest with the lariat and she fell back landing hard on the canvas! Raquel groaned and kicked in pain, her arm rubbing her chest where she had just gotten smashed leaving her laid out flat on her back on the mat.

Lu's burst of energy waned fast. Although her lariat successfully knocked down Raquel, the bluenette herself also struggled to stand up after she landed. Nonetheless, she perserved onwards, determined to maintain control over the match. She trudged over to where her opponent lay, lifted an elbow, and allowed her body to fall fowards, attempting a simple elbow drop aimed at the blonde's stomach.
