The New Era Begins

Unread post by Fairy Dragon »

The day had come, while LAW had no need for more wrestlers, more creative minds had always been a proper thing for wrestlers and some minds had a lot of knowledge to bring. Her old music hit which hadn’t played in an arena since the day she left the business and her happiness could not be matched when she made her slow rise out from the entrance. Surprisingly she got a mixed reaction, some fans would cheer anyone returning no matter who they were but some fans never forgot or just didn’t care for some old person taking the spotlight. Ayane of course didn’t care a wink about what they wanted, all that mattered was she was back in the center stage, the only stage that mattered to her and she was back on her own terms and ready to make things finally work. She slowly moved up the stairs looking as confident as could be and entered the ring before turning her attention to the crowd, mic in hand and a smile on her face...A twisted smile.

Well, here I am.” Ayane said simply enough. As if that alone told the whole story but the crowd remained mixed on her, that would change soon. “It’s been awhile since I watched wrestling, even when I was active I spent more time focused on me then sitting back and watching others take moments. It’s far more fun to make them, don't you agree? Oh what am I saying none of you know anything about making moments. Then again from what I see not many of the women in the back know much about that either.” Ayane added and this time she got more thoroughly booed, as expected tribes would always defend their little home but Ayane was here to speak her mind. “I'm serious, when I was wrestling I could fill out seats in any state with minimal roster numbers. I could have the crowd on the edge of their seat for every match, and I always excelled at it. Here? In LAW the new bright spot of wrestling according to some people we have a bunch of girls rather than women, crowds who seem to be here more for random gimmick matches than any of the intensity and drive for being the best that persisted when I was around. LAW can barely get attention outside of Japan, you have a roster of girls from all over and you're only now leaving the mainland to wrestle in California? With all the money you have this place should be having shows all over. And name a single company that dolls out its World title last? You brought in tag team, weight class, and hentai belts before the most important belt, several years into this company you STILL don’t have it, and you people eat it up and not enough women in the back have the drive to understand the importance of all that because they were clearly taught wrong.” Ayane added and with each sentence the boos got louder.

The most insulting part is the number of vets that allow this, the fact that Cyber Widow is wasting her time rather than rallying against this after everything I taught her is a slap to my face. Dana Asford and Brandi Quinn seem to have actual focus. If only Dana could get her daughters on the right track she might actually make something of them. Aliana Sanders has let me down again and again but let's be honest she was always a disappointment. Audrey is proving herself to be the failure I knew she was back then so that's nothing new but it's a shame my lesson didn’t stick. Only a few wrestlers seem to know what I’m talking about.” Ayane said as the boos continued but none cut her off. “Oh you don’t believe me? Did any of you care about the Lightweight belt before Rose Gold got her hands on it? No, you let Aoi do as she pleased. Rose isn’t my ideal champ; she spends too long giving undesirables title shots but at least she knows how to make an impact. Worse this place just let the Middleweight champ, the first champ they unveiled do whatever she wanted, real challengers had to strike at Tina directly to actually get some focus, every other one of her matches was just a simple fight that stood out in no way from any other match. The first major title reign would have been a bore if some people weren’t poking and prodding the champ, and when she lost it to Lillian it finally got some real attention. Then there's Astrid the heavyweight champ who's just so..boring! Can any of you even name a title match she’s been in? Because I forgot them all! If LAW continues this way the so called beacon will just be a slideshow with nothing that sticks out, people years later can name moments I made but none of you can name me a single moment of LAW’s big history outside of when a title was won and that's because LAW has to post that for you to remember!” Ayane said as she stopped looking at the crowd but instead at the camera directly. “That's why I'm here to fix it to give the women of this sport direction that will have people watching their every move. I already know some I want to start with, up and comers that some have given up on, I can’t tell you know but trust me when I’m by their side you won’t forget them. Let the new era begin, and the start of my legacy.” Ayane finished giving a bow to the booing fans before she gingerly made her way out of the ring, her work completed and her mission clear.
