Let's be Roommates, Maybe?

The LAW sanctioned gym facilities available to the roster proved to be a valuable asset for most everyone on the roster. Frequently, one could find many a lady exiting or entering the gym for the purpose of staying in shape and preparing themselves for a match. Some would even adhere to strict dietary plans and workout regiment with the intention of moving up or down a weight class, eventually.

But on this particular evening, the lady leaving the gym after a rather satisfying workout would be Brianna. A newcomer to LAW and the world of wrestling, but one that was eager to make a name for herself, especially if she got put a few haters in their place while doing so. That's what would usually be on her agenda, but tonight she had other pressing concerns. She had taken the bus to come to the gym and had just now realized that she stayed long enough for the buses to stop running.


"Ugh! Stupid Japan! Why would they ever just stop a bus from running?!?" Brianna flailed her gym bag around in protest, making a bit of a scene to vent her frustrations with her current predicament.

Mako was walking up to a gym with her bag in hand after having driven to the parking lot close to it. She was looking to burn off a big dinner, but as she reached the building there was a woman who looked pissed as fuck out in front of it.

Now while most people avoid awkward situations, Mako was not one to avoid things. She went right up to anything that caught her interest, and this woman was one of those things. So after walking up to her wearing a black sports bra and yoga pants, the shark would blurt out what she was thinking.

"Hey...you ok? Cause you seem like you're having some sort of meltdown?" Mako would say simply. Then as she looked over the woman, the shark could tell she'd been working out.

"Did ya get kicked outta the gym for fighting? That's what happened to me a few times" she would say curious as to what had happened to the blond heavyweight.

Brianna would cease her tantrum when Mako approached her concerning the matters that were troubling her. It wasn't often that she found herself being approached by other gym goers. Most of them always felt she was too "abrasive" or "standoffish" . The curvy young woman would slow her movements and take a deep breath to calm down before replying.

She'd glance at Mako's person and observe a "Beat it, tiny....I'm having a bad a day. My bus home stopped running. And even if it hadn't, home kinda sucks, anyways." She said as she avoided eye contact with Mako while almost speaking under her breath. Bri didn't like admitting when she was down on her luck, but her living conditions were far from the best. And despite being abrasive, herself, her room mates back at her place were even worse. It was hardly a place she enjoyed coming back to. It was one of the many reasons she occupied her time with things outside the house, like the gym.

Mako wasn't always one to get involved in other people's business...ok scratch that, it was actually rare for her not to get into another's business. She was just the kind of woman who had little sense of personal space, and didn't mind asking hard questions. So when Bri told her to beat it, the shark just walked up to the blond before pressing up against her slightly. Even though the woman was abrasive, it hardly even caused Mako to flinch. She'd had tons of aggressive assholes in her life, most of which were now her friends, while some she even dated for a while...clearly she had a thing for women like that.

"Heh, well miss whoever you are, how about you stay the night at my place? I've got a ton of room to be honest, and I'm fine with sharing" Mako would say with a friendly smile as she pressed up against Brianna. "Come on chica it'll be fun, have you eaten? Cause I'm feeling like ordering a pizza." she'd then say before giving the woman a tap on the shoulder. Mako wasn't even going to give Bri a chance to answer as she began to pull her towards the shark's car by her hand.

"My name's Mako Adachi by the way, what's your's?" she'd ask while making her way across the parking lot. Apparently she didn't even care about exercising at the gym anymore, this woman had clearly made the shark forget all about it.

Normally, the Hispanic Juggernaut wouldn't mull over the thought of decking someone that pressed her and got into her business or personal space. Mako was...interesting to her, to say the least. Adachi warmed up to her much more quickly than anyone else she had met. Enough to raise some level of suspicion despite how genuine she seemed. Bri would cease actively trying to look away from Mako to staring at the girl and making eye contact. As Mako tugged on her arm, she'd plant her feet and offer her thoughts.

"Br-Brianna. My name's Brianna. And look, it's nice of you to be this...well, nice. But you're offering free food and a place to stay?
Just like that? We just met and I'm not supposed to think this is suspicious at all?" She'd say with some authority in her voice and a look of skepticism on her face as she actively resisted being pulled towards the Shark girl's car. She was still oblivious to the fact that Mako felt any attraction towards her. Mendez was simply assessing the situation for what it appeared to be. In truth, the offer sounded awesome. But she was of the state of mind that only so few good things in life came that easily.

Mako was trying to make her way with the hispanic woman to her car but soon enough her new friend would stand her ground and state that this offer seemed too good to be true. "Hmm I guess it does sound a little bit suspicious...well I mean I could make you pay rent if you really want to" the shark would say as she stopped pulling on the woman's arm. "Look Bri, that's a cool name by the way, I just need a roommate. My house is like waaaaay to big for me and I need to fill it up. Is that a good enough reason for you? If not how about we keep talking over the pizza? Damn I got myself hungry..." Mako would explain before face palming as she realized she's pretty hungry.

Usually when she got hungry the shark would work out at the gym (The thing she came to do) but now she was more interested in Brianna, instead. Well it didn't really matter, Mako just wanted to get this woman to stay the night. Which might lead to an actual roommate! That would be awesome for the shark!

Mako's comment about paying rent made Bri raise an eyebrow. Adachi did seem genuine enough to her, but Brianna wasn't naive enough to take her up on the offer a the drop of a hat. She nodded after Mako explained her housing situation and why she felt she could use a room mate or two. She began to contemplate the proposition again, but lost her train of thought when she noticed her new friend facepalming.

"Ugh! Alright, my place sucks and I've got all my important things in my bag with me right now."

Mendez said to get Mako's attention before continuing. "We'll talk through the specifics and all, but sure! Let's head back your place and have pizza while we figure out my living arrangements."

Brianna anticipated that Mako would celebrate this news. And as soon as the blonde did, Bri would immediately put her face in front of Mako's before asserting her terms. "But two conditions! One: I'm picking the toppings on at least one of those pizzas. And two: if you try anything funny, and I do mean anything, I will personally beat you up and down the halls and rooms of your own home, got it?!"

Mako's eyes lit up as Brianna accepted her proposal. Finally she'd have a roommate for her house, one that made the shark think she would never be bored in her own home anymore. But before she could scream out in joy, Brianna would stop her by saying she had two terms Mako had to follow.

The first term she had no issue with at all as she had already planned to get three pizzas ordered. And the second was even better as it gave her an amusing idea.

"Yes and yes! I can't wait to get you moved in! You'll love the place trust me!" Mako would say cheerfully. "And I wouldn't mind if you and I had a few tussles...fighting you sounds like a ton of fun!" She said while patting the woman's back before she started pulling her new friend towards the car. Mako was ecstatic as she did so, and she was super eager to get Brianna to her new home.

"You seem like you're pretty tough by the way...so after we get the pizzas wanna have a little tussle to burn them off" she'd say with a smile. Mako really wanted to see how the Hispanic handled herself in a fight. And something was telling the shark she wouldn't be disappointed.

Bri had been trying hard to avoid it, but Mako's offer and endearing attitude were definitely charming her in their own goofy yet genuine way. On top of that, this mysterious woman with cool tattoos accepted her terms and discussed the prospect of them fighting to burn off the pizza they'd be having that evening.

The curvy beauty would finally crack a smile at Mako begin walking with her towards her car while accepting her challenge. "Heh, sure let's go home! And definitely, chica. We can throw down whenever you want! Just don't expect to win anytime soon, ya hear?" Mendez would finish her statement with a cute giggle, showing that she was willing to be a at least a little less reserved around her new acquaintance, Miss Adachi.

With that, the two seem to hit it off about as well as anyone would with Brianna. She was actually looking forward to being able to move to a nicer place with company that wasn't half bad. Her day might have taken a turn for the worst just a few moments ago, but within minutes of meeting Mako, things suddenly got much better. And hopefully, they'd stay that way.
