There were a lot of virtues that Iria considered to have revolving her wrestling career, an entertainer was one of them. As such, the blonde was always willing to set in motion fights or drama to make. Although, it wasn’t really the case here. Her opponent for today was Katherine Heart, Iria first saw some tweets of her about a charity, while the blonde didn’t care all that much, she found the need to publicly preach it annoying, wondering if she wanted the media traction rather than actually helping people. But what really got her attention was Kat reaching out to Holly, the titular and renown lowest wrestler in LAW.
Iria met a lot of wrestlers who despised jobbers, believing them to be fodder, not really worthy of the ring. In her eyes, though, everyone has a role and as long as it’s entertaining, anything goes as long as it’s not too brutal. From what she saw from Holly? Absolutely impeccable, she really liked Holly’s, pride even though she didn’t really have anything to show up for it.
And then she saw Kat’s tweets, supporting her and seemingly trying to lend her a hand to drop her infamous title. Everything that she said was truly superficial for Iria. Not believing that someone could be that goody-two-shoes and naive, she preferred a more realistic thought process. She wanted to take advantage of Holly, even going as far to believe that Kat might be using Holly as a pretext to make herself look good.
It didn’t matter the reason, but trying to interfere with a good show? That was an offense, she just couldn’t let slide. And now it was the moment to let their wrestling skills speak for themselves! Spoiler
After her announcement, Iria strutted towards the ring as she made her appearance, before she climbed the stairs to the ring, she met a staff member who gave her a mic. As she reached the center of the ring, her entrance music would suddenly stop Iria would tap the mic twice with her fingers, confirming it was functioning before speaking up in her most patronizing tone towards the crowd.
“It seems we’ve got ourselves a little problem, you see, we’ve got ourselves a wrestler, which is more interested in playing the hero, involving themselves with others when they aren’t called, spouting nothing more than nonsense and lies, to make themselves look good." Iria made a theatrical pause while smirking condescendingly - "Yes, I’m looking at you, Katherine Hart. It seems for all your wrestling experience you lack even the tiniest speck of understanding of this industry. So, once more, I’m challenging you kitty. Stop hiding yourself and let me show you I’ve the bark... and the bite!” Iria taunted as she made a come and get me gesture with one hand, provoking Kat to come over the stage!
Ever the morally ambiguous, silver-tongued instigator, Iria had proven on twitter and in the arena, just how skilled she was at getting under other women's skin. And this week, the bear she had chosen to poke was LAW's famed Katherine Hart!
By pouncing on Katherine's compassion and concern for the loser's champion, Holly Matheson, Iria admittedly struck several nerves. Calling into question the empathy and altruism that Kat was known for both inside and outside of the squared circle went against everything the luchadora stood for. Insinuating that the help she'd offer Holly could come with ulterior or even malicious motives was an allegation that Hart couldn't let stand. Many would be content to ignore Luna and ignore her claims Kat wasn't the first woman Iria picked a fight with and she most certainly wouldn't be the last. Katherine threw the gauntlet at this entertainer.
Certainly, with the arena packed to the brim to see this match-up, none could doubt Iria's skill at drawing a crowd, starting drama, and putting on a show. But none of that would stop this drama from pissing off this Kitty!
Katherine "Super Kitty" Hart
Pyro and music would go off as The Super Kitty made her entrance! Despite the anger in her tweets, she appeared equal parts excited and confident! She hit a stride and galloped down the entrance ramp, giving high fives and hugs to fans before she dashed towards the ring and slid in under the bottom rope, and popped up to her feet. She leaned over the ropes and beckoned one of the production staff at ringside for a mic so that she could answer Iria properly in front of the crowd.
"Iria Luna....let me assure you that I'm doing no hiding whatsoever. These people wanna see this match. We're sold out for tonight's LAW episode because this match has been building on Twitter for only a week or so, now!" She paused for the crowd reaction and the cheers to celebrate the sold-out show.
"But let me assure you that no one has been looking forward to this as much as I have! Because Miss Luna, you can weave a story, you can entertain, but as good as you are at putting on a show, you're even better at pissing me off.....so I hope you DO have the bite to go along with that bark. Because if you're gonna continue to accuse me of 'playing hero', if you're doing to doubt my intentions when I bust my butt day in and day out not to make myself look good, but to help women wrestlers that could use my help, to help put butts in seats, to help this industry as a whole....then you're gonna need all the bite you can muster if you want to defend yourself against me now that we're in the ring together!"

A lot of things were going on in the blonde’s mind as she heard Kat’s response, but she felt sure everyone knew what was going on as she snorted at some points of Kat’s speech, grinning and making different expressions of contempt and amusement all the while. And after Kat finished, Iria arched one eyebrow smugly before bringing the mic closer to her lips.
“Oh! But Miss Hart, you’re hiding yourself the very first moment you put on that mask and pretend you’re something that you’re not. And I’m not talking about your luchadora gig.” Replied Iria slyly -- “Or perhaps you’re what you say you’re… Ah! I can almost picture it! Miss Hart with a heart of gold, so poetic!” She snarked before making a theatrical pause, letting the crowd's reaction fill up the arena.
“Tell me, why are we fighting again?” Iria started snapping her fingers, feigning ignorance -- “Oh right! We’re here because you wanted to help Miss Matheson get rid of her loser belt, right? Yet you didn’t even mention her once in that beautiful tirade of yours. Tell me, how does my opinion about you, exactly prevent you from helping her, hmmm?” She shrugged her shoulders while looking at Kat straight into her eyes.
“You seem to awfully care about what others think of you, just like the other day, mentioning me and a bunch of other wrestlers, in a ‘woe is me’ tweet! Perhaps, you’ll end up taking on every wrestler on LAW that disagrees with you in your quest of self-righteousness!” Mocking her, Iria followed up by letting out a chuckle, using a condescending tone.
“Let me put it up in a way that even you should understand. First, your help wasn’t requested in the first place. Second, the ring is no place for such dull things. And third, sweetie? You seem to be completely wrong about me...” -- Iria made another pause as she pointed her index towards Kat, grinning smugly -- “I want to see if you’re indeed a cornerstone of LAW, or rather... one stepping stone!”
Shots fired! After everything was said and done, Iria would throw the mic to one of the staff members before nodding to the ref to signal up the bell to start the match, raising her arms in a grappling stance, ready to tussle it out!
As much as any woman in the locker room may have hated to admit it, Luna had a certain air of charisma about her. She could talk. And not like many other LAW women who spouted and hurled empty insult and empty threat one after another, Iria knew how to hit close to home. And she seemed fully aware of this. The woman maximized her time on the mic, hanging onto until even after coming face to face with The Super Kitty in the center of the ring! She fired verbal shot after shot until the bell was ready, deepening the frown on Katherine's brow as she kept at it. Kat hoped that the mask hid some of the anger on her face. Of course, as believable as Iria was, her words sparked an array of reactions throughout the arena. Surely, Miss Luna's words were blatant defamation. Katherine had a legacy. Heart of gold? Playing superhero? Maybe there was some truth to The Super Kitty having been that compassionate, to her being a champion and a hero to the people. The little boys and girls in the stands wearing Super Kitty shirts and holding up posters all throughout the stadium were a testament to that notion. But like any hero had both supporters and nemeses, there were those that wanted to see Kat crumble under the weight of her own beliefs. There were those that sought to test her limits. There were those who were of the same mindset Iria Luna!
Katherine stared daggers at the haughty, cocky woman across the ring from her. She gripped her microphone tightly and raised it to her lips, waiting to get a word in edgewise. Kat took a deep breath. The audience waited for her response with as much suspense as there was for the bell to kick off this quickly escalating rivalry!
"Okay so, in order..." Katherine composed herself and fired off her bullet points rapidly in succession, getting in a quick rebuttal just before the contest could start off properly!
"1) I'm not out here to air out anyone's dirty laundry. I'll do what I can to help Holly behind the scenes. I think we both know that even if I had laid out exactly what I'm doing to help her and to dismantle the loser title, you'd just use it as ammo to drag my name through the mud even worse than you've tried to already." Kat gestures as she continued, raising up a number of fingers to correspond to each point she made.
"2) I'll fight anyone, anywhere. I'm a professional wrestler. I'm a fighter. It's literally in my job description. You or anyone else disagreeing isn't fuel for me to beat anyone up. I'm more mature than that. I'm better than that. But I'm more than willing to plant this boot right on the backside of jabber jaws like you who have it coming. And finally,"
"3) If you wanna find out exactly what kind of 'stone' I am, between a cornerstone and a stepping stone....why don't you come a little closer so you can get a very, very good look. And I'll be happy to show you...." Kat would say with a look of focus and a tone of intensity as she stared daggers at Iria from across the ring.
"Ring the bell." She'd demand before tossing her microphone through the ropes to a staff member at ringside. Kat kept her eyes fixated on her opponent as she held the ropes to her left and right in her corner When the bell sounded, she'd get into a stance of her own as she circled the ring and accelerated a brisk pace! The masked heavyweight wrestler would look to seize Iria by the wrist and start things off by twisting it behind the middleweight's back to secure her in a Hammerlock!

Any aspiration of her opponent’s to conceal her anger with her mask were soon thwarted by her eyes, they couldn’t lie to Iria, she only needed one good look at them to know that the damage was done, just as she intended. Still, the blonde almost expected Kat to interrupt her spiel midway, or even lunge at her mindlessly, to gain a reason to taint her opponent’s reputation even further. She didn’t though, which almost impressed Iria, while her spiteful words clearly affected Kat, certainly not anybody could take them on while keeping their composure!
All the while her words echoed across the stadium, the reactions from their crowd didn’t pass unnoticed through the blonde’s eyes. The world wasn’t either white or black, a thought that would be painfully clear for those who supported the fan favorite lucha as some people backed up the blonde’s slander. The blonde thought highly of her charm and she certainly knew how to use it. As soon as Kat raised her microphone, the atmosphere could be cut with a knife as the whole arena stayed quiet, expectantly. Almost as if preparing themselves to witness a gathering storm. And just after the first sentence...
“Oh? Is the cat out of the bag?” Iria whispered, low enough that the crowd wouldn’t make up what she just said, but loud enough for her opponent to hear. Smiling snidely as she intended to anger her some more, Kat was right, absolutely so. Iria would use that as ammo against her, she’d use anything for her own benefit. And she wouldn’t make an attempt to hide it.
Meanwhile her opponent made the rest of her reply, the blonde remained silent, at least with words as she let everyone who watched them what she was thinking from a plethora of reactions, from eye-rolling, sarcastics chuckles… Clearly disliking Kat’s holier-than-thou, uptight attitude. By the end, any other wrestler in LAW would have probably shivered at hearing Kat's last statement, but Iria just let out a frantic laugh, although she didn’t like to consider herself as such she was clearly a warmonger. Thriving in conflict only to satisfy her egotistical satisfaction, that was her.
“Wonderful ad-lib speech sweetie, soon we’ll see if you’re more fit for sales pitching rather than wrestling, yes?” Iria threw a backhanded compliment as she returned her opponent’s glare, amused to have things pretty fired up from the get go. As they both already stated their piece, it was finally time to settle things by slugging it out in the ring! After the bell rang, both wrestlers took stances, but it would be clear for the blonde Kat’s intentions as she started running, gaining momentum and allowing her to catch the blonde by surprise, using the initiative to catch Iria’s wrist and trap her in a Hammerlock!
“Tch!” Clicking her tongue in frustration, the blonde groaned in pain as she wiggled her upper body, trying to find a weak spot to break free from the hold, but to no avail. Kat was an experienced wrestler and the match just started, so the hold was secured tightly! After a few seconds of struggling, Iria’d try to counter the hammerlock, eager to prove to her opponent that she was more than a pretty face. Bringing her arm backwards, Iria would attempt to hook her free arm around Kat’s neck, as if she were prepping a snapmare.
But instead, she’d bend her knees, aiming to slowly bring both of them down to the mat in a kneeling position, if everything went without any hitch, Iria would finish her counter by releasing Kat’s head and doing a shoulder to shoulder side roll, intending to break her opponent’s lock on her as her trapped arm now would be trapping Kat’s wrist! Finishing the motion by wrenching Kat’s wrist and making her stand up, reversing things up by trapping Kat in a hammerlock of her own!
Iria missed absolutely no opportunities at taunts and pantomime. Everything about her reactions and instigating tonight lined up perfectly with that one obnoxious friend of a friend; the one that everyone regrets meeting at the party or social function; the one that, without fail, would constantly find ways to sour the mood by putting themselves above others. No matter how good she was at it, Kat was bent on not sinking to her level. "if only Iria's face was as punchable as her personality", everyone in the arena thought to themselves as the contest got underway. Fortunately for Kat, she'd get the chance to return Miss Luna's verbal jabs with physical ones! It took virtue not to swing at her as the two of them exchanged words on the mic. That silver tongue of Iria's was no joke. But The Super Kitty had a name and a reputation to uphold. The luchadora was every bit as much of a moral compass as she was a wrestling LAW superstar. And the best way to prove that and to shut Iria up proper was to do it bell to bell in the square circle!
"I've got a sales pitch for you!" Kat would say after she successfully zipped around Iria and wrenched the conniving girl's arm behind her back to secure the Hammerlock!
"A pitch for the next headline in LAW Magazine: Mouthy Middleweight Brat gets tapped out by Kat Hart! If only her matches were as stellar as her promos!" The luchadora would boast as she added pressure and cranked the hold. Of course, the audience would begin to rally behind her. Yet after a mere few seconds of struggling, Iria would begin to fight back! Showing that she at the very least dabbled on the art of technical wrestling, Luna would reach back with her free hand and snake her arm around Kat's neck! Having expected a Snapmare, Hart would lean back, allowing Iria time to drop down and roll through, undoing the Hammerlock so that she could apply one of her own!
"Oh!" Katherine would react with a genuine tone of surprise. Iria clearly knew a thing or two. Kat would wince a bit as her foe settled into the hold! Hoping to prevent Iria from working her arm, Kat would be quick to answer by trying to pivot and turn such that she was standing perpendicular to Iria with her arm straightened into an Arm Wrench rather than a Hammerlock! Should she successfully reorient herself, The Super Kitty would flip forwards and pull off a somersault, undoing the hold completely! Kat would do this diligently, making sure to grab hold of Iria's hand after landing! If all went well, she'd reach for Iria's hand with both her own and use her momentum to attempt to throw her towards the ropes with an Arm Drag!

No matter how punchable or not her face was for everyone in the audience, the blonde was keen to make this match as entertaining as possible and to that end she wouldn’t stop at anything to trample Kat's image as a wrestler! But Iria wasn't satisfied with only lashing out words as the bell rang and the match started, she wanted to beat the Super Kitty in front of everyone and get a good laugh at her expense! Which would prove quite a challenge of its own as Kat was successful in launching an early attack, trapping the blonde in a Hammerlock!
“Guh!...” Howled Iria as she felt her arm wrenching behind her back painfully while hearing the masked luchadora's taunts -- “... You even made it rhyme...!! THAT'S SO CUTE!!” Retorted Iria aloud with a cheeky smile while grimacing in pain, hiding her irritation with a jab. Though it pained her to say so, Iria couldn't deny that Kat's skills were the real deal so she knew she'd have to step up her game for this match. Tactfully maneuvering, Iria managed to counter the Super Kitty's hold, ending up behind Kat and trapping her with a Hammerlock of her own!
“But it lacks some flavor sweetie!... I've got a better one!: Pesky Cat kneels in defeat and knows her place. Such a disgrace!” Iria shouted snarkily as she began twisting Hart's arm in the hold, though not for long as the Supper Kitty turned around, the blonde not losing a second in transitioning the Hammerlock into an Arm Wrench. Just about as Iria was about to push Kat's arms and forcing her to kneel, the masked luchadora performed a sommersault in a display of acrobatics, breaking herself free from the blonde's grasp! But the masked luchadora didn't intend to let things end with that as she took one of the blonde's hands!
“W-whooah!!” Iria let out in surprise after she was thrown towards the ropes by an armdrag, bouncing off of them before rushing back to the center of the ring from the momentum. As this happened, the blonde tried to regain her footing again by stomping one of her boots firmly against the mat. As she did so, Iria used her drive to make a huge leap, twisting her figure gracefully mid-air as she folded both of her legs, from there she tried to dropkick Kat’s chest with both of her legs aiming to send the luchadora reeling backwards if successful!
The more the fans cheered for The Super Kitty, the more Hart looked to match Iria move for move, the more the silver-tongued heel was spurred on to ruin Kat's good name! As they fought, the luchadora could feel that desire radiating from the middleweight's every word and movement! It seemed that nothing was more satisfying and entertaining to her than the thought of toppling one of LAW's very best! Both in the ring and in reputation entirely! And as Kat wrenched on that arm and applied pressure, Iris's every effort to look for an opening brought her one step closer to making those goals a reality!
"About as cute as you look right now!" Kat would answer the slightly smaller gal whilst trying to keep pace with her and circle the ring with her to keep the Hammerlock applied! Iria had already shown off that she knew a thing or two on the ring. The two wrestlers had never met before but it was becoming more and more obvious that they wrestled somewhat similarly! Luna and Hart were both technical wrestlers! And that point was illustrated clearly when Iria abruptly sped up and zipped behind Kat to secure the luchadora in a Hammerlock of her own!
The blue eyes of Hart winced in pain as she found herself with her arm now bent behind her back! Her foe transitioned from a Hammerlock to an Arm Wrench whilst suggesting a LAW Magazine article of her own!
"That was good! Maybe you oughta consider working as a writer part-time!" Kat mused as she found her way out of the Arm Wrench before Iria could force her to kneel! With a Somersault and some quick, dynamic movements to seize control of her foe's wrist, Kat threw the blonde beauty across the ring with an Arm Drag, much for the crowd's delight! Fans cheered as Kat stood tall, but the pot-stirring Iria Luna was not done yet! She wasn't one to let controversy or chain wrestling moves end unfavorably! And she proved that by using her momentum from the throw to roll onto the balls of her feet and lean into the ropes to gain momentum as she ran towards The Super Kitty and jumped up to nail the buxom blonde masked beauty in her voluminous chest with a Running Dropkick!
"Gahhhh!" Kat would groan as the force of the strike had her fall backward onto her back! She'd clutch her chest and wince in pain yet again! The cheers from earlier would transition into boos as Iria secured the upper hand this time! If Iria found her way up to her feet and took this reaction in, it wouldn't take long for Kat would roll back into her upper back and press bring her hands over her head to kip up off the canvas and rise to her feet with gusto to meet Iria in the center of the ring to show her that she was still raring to go!
"You're not bad at all, you know! It's a pity that you're out to undercut my name and reputation like this or else we could have been friends." The luchadora would smile as she raised her palms in front of her to take a grappler's stance and show that she was ready and willing to pick up where they had just left off!

Things were definitely getting heated between Iria and Kat as the fight ragged on, but Iria wasn't about to let the Super Kitty take the lead role in this violent dancing contest! Running full speed ahead while breathing deeply to compolse herself, Iria was bounced towards the ropes by her foe's powerful armdrag. She could hear the deafening cheers of the crowd but that didn't matter right now, rebounding herself on the ropes, Iria turned her situation upside-down as she was able to leap midway towards Kat, twirling her body before she felt her boots pressing harshly, the strike connected.
Sending Kat flying back, Iria rose up in time to watch Kat get up to her feet with style after being roughly sent down with the blonde's dropkick! Booes filled up the arena, but Iria just winked and shrugged her shoulders in a lackadaisical way without a care in the world almost encouraging the crowd to jeer at her more! Then, the european turned her attention once more to Kat as she approached her in the middle of the ring, patronizingly clapping her hands whilst flashing a scornful expression at the luchadora!
"Well would you look at that! It seems cats don't always fall on their fours, do they?" Iria sneered at Kat with a contemptous laugh before the blonde tilted her eyebrows in an amused way when she heard the Super Kitty's remark about them being friends. "Oh please." Iria rolled her eyes, clearly irritated before her grin widened in a wicked and mischievous manner as her purple eye's locked down onto Hart's "If I had to rank between one and one hundred how much cliche what you just said is..." -- The european paused as she feigned being lost in thought while closing one eye. "... I'd easily give it a one hundred and eleven" Iria made a short pause as her words echoed in the filled arena before even more jeers came at her way "You're either an awful actress or the most boring gal I've ever seen, like I'm almost HOPING for the first. All you do is talk about your reputation, your position and flaunt your ego... me, me, me." Parroted Iria, her brows forrowing as she spat her words as she would poison -- "For a face and a self proclaimed hero you sure love flaunting your ego, don't you? Trying to compensate for something?" Iria snickered in a vile way before she interrupted her own charade by letting out a big, teatrical sight.
"... Don't mind it. Friends? Don't make me laugh, you're more good than I gave you credit for, but you're way over your head. A delusional wrestler with fantasies of grandeur. That's about it" The blonde's words turned colder and colder as she slowly strutted towards the luchadora with risen arms, yet Iria's remained at either side of her hips as she inquisitively looked into Hart's eyes, almost trying to look what kind of expression she had under her mask. Was it anger? Vexation? She wanted her to fall in despair and as she just stood inches away from the slightly bigger gal, Iria's eyes narrowed dangerously as she tightened her whole figure, lunging towards the luchadora at a daunting speed as she attempted to once more close their distance with a nimble and extremely acrobatic leap as she pushed her lower half within the jump, the blonde's arms would try to latch onto the back of Kat's head and grab her before using her own momentum and the gravity to help her drive the masked heavyweight forward and down within the canvas as Iria would seek to give her a quite unpleasant taste of a codebreaker, folding and whipping both of her long legs backwards to spike Kat's face brutally into her knees if she had her way!
