Sharon Donnery vs. Thunder Ryuko

Sharon dropped to her knees, and Ryuko had her by the head. This was the perfect position to transition from the strikes to her face into leaning back to spike Sharon's head down to the canvas with a DDT! Ryuko was trying to pile on as quickly and move as fluidly as possible while working Sharon over. She knew she had to be precise as Sharon was a veteran of the ring like she was, but Ryuko was among the best Japan had to offer feeling as though the foreign grappler in the ring with her just wasn't quite in her league.

After dropping on her knees, Sharon then got her head held by Ryuko. Still reeling from the uppercut, she was unable to stop what was coming next, which was a DDT, in which her head was driven into the mat.

"AARGHHH!!"

Sharon screamed out in pain as her head impacted against the canvas. It looked like Sharon was unable to put up any offense against the former Wrestle Angel, and many thought that the match would end with the dominant victory of Ryuko.

Ryuko planted Sharon with a DDT and stood up, holding her arms out as she strut around Sharon, sending hard stomps down to her abdomen! "Foreign trash in our ring...." Ryuko hissed. After sending a few stomps into Sharon Ryuko would strut about the ring, swaying her hips and playing to the crowd, taunting Sharon instead of keeping up the momentum! While Ryuko was confident it was this type of cocky display that could come back to bite her and had done so in the past.

The DDT had left Sharon disoriented, and it seemed that Ryuko decided to showboat, making it clear that she wasn't going to end this match immediately. Groaning, Sharon would try to push herself up onto all four, shaking her head and trying to get rid of the headache from having her head driven into the mat by the DDT earlier.

Glancing at the showboating Ryuko, Sharon gritted her teeth, looking determined to make her opponent regret treating her like a chump. Punching the mat multiple times, she would try to rise back up, though her progress would be slow due to everything that she had taken from her opponent earlier.

Ryuko saw Sharon rise up, hearing her punching the mat. Ryuko grinned and stood with her hands on her hips. "Oh? The gaijin pretender is angry! Is she going to actually do something?" Ryuko said walking back up to Sharon. Ryuko grinned and cocked her fist, looking to send a hard punch right to the abdomen of Sharon, not seeing her as much of a threat at this point which could potentially be the undoing of the thunder empress!

Sharon could sense that Ryuko was approaching her, and she needed to do something quick, or else she might end up losing to such a monster. Seeing her opponent cocking her fist, Sharon would wait for the opportunity to spring her trap as she would prepare herself for the incoming punch.

When Ryuko threw the punch, Sharon would try to catch the incoming fist, and using her opponent's momentum, she would try to flip her over with a judo throw. Not only that, she would also try to get her legs around her arm after she hit the mat, looking to lock her in an armbar.

Ryuko's eyes went wide as Sharon showed signs of life! She was thrown hard to the mat but the pain from that paled in comparison to her arm and shoulder as Sharon locked in a painful armbar!

"AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!" Ryuko screamed as she kicked the mat in pain, reaching over to rub and grab at her extended arm. Ryuko was suddenly in quite a bit of pain against Sharon and had to get out of this. Ryuko used her experience, leaning into the hold and using her legs to prop herself up. It took some pressure off her arm but also rolled Sharon back on her shoulders to put her in a pinning position!

Successfully locking Ryuko into the armbar, Sharon would try to apply as much pressure as possible into the hold, hoping that she could force a submission out of the former Wrestle Angel. But then, Ryuko had proven herself to be an experienced wrestler as she adjusted her position and get Sharon's shoulders pressed against the mat. Seeing this as a pinfall attempt, the referee started counting.

"ONE!"

Realizing what was happening, Sharon immediately shifted her position, but this would also mean loosening her hold on Ryuko's arm. Knowing that she might not be able to lock it back on, she had no other choice but to relinquish the hold, releasing Ryuko from the armbar.

Ryuko did manage to force her way to freedom but her arm was killing her. She tried to stumble back up to her feet hoping to rise up at the same time as the resurgent Sharon. Gritting her teeth Ryuko would lumber forward and jump up, trying to catch Sharon off guard with a dropkick to the chest! She had to get something going and soon otherwise Sharon had a great chance to storm her way back in to the match especially if she forced a miscue with the dropkick.

Having to release Ryuko from the armbar, Sharon would try to rise back up onto her feet as quickly as possible, but it looked like Ryuko wasn't going to let the pain from the armbar earlier slow her down as she rose back up just as quick as her. Before she could prepare herself for anything, Sharon took a dropkick right in her chest by Ryuko.

"UOAGHHH!!"

Sharon cried out in pain as she fell back down onto her back. She grimaced, clutching her chest as she gasped out for air. Earlier, she seemed to have gained an upper hand over her opponent, but now, things were quickly reversing, with Ryuko regaining her upper hand over her.
