Jungle Princess and a Butterfly- Cassandra vs Saori!

As the crowd and everyone else began to break out of the stupor from the violence, Cassie was.. down.

As Saori rolled around in her anguish, she couldn’t hear her screams.. or well.. anything but her head pounding and her heartbeat thudding in her ear. She thought it would be a nice place to take a nap now. Her eyes dizzy and unfocused, if Saori would have looked.. she would seem like she was drifting towards unconsciousness.

But no.

Saori’s warm body crashed down upon her, their bare skin pressing against each others, all covered in sweat and blood and tears. She’d grunt a bit, the sensation causing her to snap back to focus, as she’d hear her threat. Slowly glaring back up at Saori..

“N-ne.. Saori..”

The ref counted again..

“TWO!!”

And suddenly, in a burst of Herculean strength.. Cassandra shoved her shoulders up, breaking the count! She’d cough a bit, blood still flowing.. Saori was right, she might just bleed out before this was over.. but.. with the pain, came a steeled gaze locking onto her, as she’d grip her shoulder tight.

“If.. I give up.. all this pain.. would have been for nothing..”

She’d cough again, her eyes unfocusing.. before she’d snap herself back again, a small groan escaping her lips, her grip getting tighter..

“I’ll.. I’ll win..!”

Saori's glare sharpened as the two met eyes. "Don't." She warned, pushing her light body down further. Those were the eyes of a fighter, someone that would rather die than just give in to the pain and lose. And in any other scenario, Saori might had respected that. But... As brutal as the match was, she knew neither had much stamina left. Too much blood had been spilled. Literally. The two fighters were bleeding out for this match, and Saori could even feel herself getting lightheaded from the all the hard hits and bleeding injuries. It'd only be a matter of time before they both fainted from the blood loss and the exhaustion.

But Cassandra still kicked out.

"Gragh!" And she kicked out harshly, knocking Saori to the side and leaving her panting. Merde (Shit)! Saori caught her breath, trying to summon up what strength she could, but Cassandra moved first, latching onto Saori's shoulder. "Graah!" She turned her head, seeing the Butterfly's steely gaze and meeting it with an wild, furious glare, panting, wincing, and snarling like a wounded beast. "Let see... you try..."

“Earlier.. you said.. you’d make.. this hurt.”

Her face turned into a determined and angered scowl, slowly raising herself to her knee. One hand on Saori’s shoulder.. and the other lifting up into the air..! She’d bring her clenched fist down onto Saori’s head with a THUD, trying to drop her down..!

“You did.. very much..”

Gasping softly. If it worked.. Saori would suddenly find her stepping up, and rolling the Jungle girl upon her back. She’d lace her legs within hers, interlocking them quickly. She’d slowly slide her hands down, clasping Saori’s wrists..

“Now.. I return the favour!!”

She’d shout in a burst of vigour, before the heavily bleeding girl hoisted up Saori!! Her eyes widened a bit, lifting her up in a deadly Scorpion Crosslock, her own finisher.. and aptly named, Soul Torque!

"Grah!" The punch had the crowd seeing more blood paint the ring and Saori seeing stars. Her already dizzying head was now swirling. She could barely register Cassandra's whispered words as she plopped to the ground in unceremonious fashion, barely moving. The most she could manage was breathing. Her head was a throbbing mess, her knee was still sore from her finisher, and mind was ebbing and flowing in and out consciousness. Her only pray was that Cassandra might be as tired and worn as she was...

But no.

She couldn't feel much, but Saori could feel her legs start to lock together, feel her body start to be suspended up. And... feel her body start to stretch. Her legs were already feeling the sheering sensation, and at the touch of her wrist, Saori's eyes opened with tears. She knew this hold, she had been in it a few times back in Brazil... and she knew how much it would hurt, especially now. But... she was out of gas, she couldn't struggle any further. The most she could manage was shaking her head, giving the same whimpered pleas her opponent had before her own finisher. "N-No..." It was a short mutter than grew in volume as her body tightened. "No... no, no, no, no, no, please don- Aaaaaargh!"

Her whole body was bending. Her back shrieked as she was forced back into consciousness with pain, howling out as Cassandra indeed kept her promise. The Jungle Princess was hurting. "It huuuuuuurts!" She howled, tears and blood falling from her face. "Noooooo! Stoooop!"

“I.. I’m not gonna..! Until.. you give!”

Saori’s cries of pain reached her ears. But Cass.. Cassandra was determined to win, no matter the sympathy she felt for her opponent. She’d let out a cry of pain of her own, both wrestlers having shed blood, sweat and tears for this brutal bout. She’d keep her grip onto Saori.. wrenching her back even MORE.

She had to. Her head was spinning from blood loss, barely able to keep it together. But now, she’d cry out in her own pain, but still wrenching back Saori with a loud growl..

“GIVE UP!!”

"Aaaaaaauuuugh!" Saori cried out, reddened tears dropping to the floor. Her back was in pure agony, as if burning coals were directly upon it. And it wasn't even the worst of it. By some horrid act of strength and resolve, Cassandra was able to torque her body further, turning her screams into outright shrieks as her body contorted further to the pain. It was as if her spine was going to start giving way. "AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIII!"

She shook her head, blood and tears dropping to the floor. "No more! NO MOOOOOREEEE! I GIVE UUUUUUP! STOOOOOOP!"

She’d tug. Both bodies strained to the limit.. and as said, one would snap. And that one was.. Saori. Hearing the screams, she’d slowly lower her down, releasing her hands and untangle the legs from each other. Releasing Saori.. she’d stagger back a couple steps

The referee approached. Lifting up her hand..

”Your winner by verbal submission..!! Cassandra Selinofoto!!”

Holding her hand up high.. she couldn’t believe it. She actually won, but.. looking at her tortured foe, she supposed some things were more important. Dropping to her knees, she’d sit besides Saori.. gently, but firmly, with the last vestiges of her strength, running her fingers over her back to smooth the pain, and gently tapping her cheek. “Y-you.. alright..?”

Before suddenly crashing down from sheer exhaustion, wrapping her arms around her rival, both girls in so much pain. Cassandra was just about to pass out from blood loss, but she’d ask her in a slightly slurred voice, holding her tightly..

“D-dont hate me.. please..!”

Saori was finally released from the Soul Torque, and true to its name it was as if her soul nearly left her body. To her relief, she was let down immediately after her surrender in a far gentler manner than she expected. There wasn't much the Wild Child could make out. Everything sounded muffled through the pain she was in. Even if the hold was released, her body was still screaming. Her back burned, her legs were limp, and what little she could make of her surroundings were a blur of bodies in the crowd as bitter tears and iron blood streamed from her face.

Then, she felt hands over her cheek. Saori flinched at first, worried the Butterfly was going for more punishment to rub in the victory, or even insult and tease her, but... her voice was just as quiet and shy as it was at the start. She asked if Saori was okay. It felt... kind of obvious she wasn't. Hell, she wanted to Cassandra after taking a Jungle Knee to the face along with a chair. She could still see the woman's face gushing out blood from the bridge of her nose. But just as she was about to answer and ask back, just as she was going to use what consciousness she had to try and smooth things over-

"W-Wha..."

Cassandra embraced her. Really, it was more apt to say she fell on her, but Saori could feel her hands try to rub and massage her back as an apology. But her next words truly shocked her. "I..." Saori gritted her teeth, pushing against Cassandra. She... wanted forgiven. Confirmation that no hard feelings were left after the brutal match. The two had slammed hard against each other, bloodied each other, forced each other through some of their most painful moves... and Cassandra wanted amnesty for it. "I... I..." Saori's words were a mix of snarls and tears, squirming in Cassandra's embrace. All were silent in the crowd, watching and waiting for the response of the hotheaded Jungle Princess. And...

She cried. She cried bitter, emotional tears.

"I don't hate you!" She hugged back, and the crowd exploded in cheers at the response and sportsmanship. "It was a close fight!" She cried, hugging as tight as her fading strength would allow. "I... I wanted to win, I wanted to win so bad and I hurt you a bunch and made you bleed, but... but I did my best! And I'll do better next time! Let's fight again, Borboleta!"

Cassandra softly exhaled. In her arms, Saori was squirming.. and all Cassie knew, she was about to blow, one way or the other..

And blow she did. But not in anger, but in pent up emotion being let out in a much better way, as she’d shed some tears as well, nodding her head rapidly. She’d wrap her arms around Saori, cupping the back of her head and pressing it against her neck, allowing her to embrace her better and sighed softly.

“I know.. you.. did.. we will fight again.. little sister!..”

Cassandra meant it as a term of honour, for was Saori not her sister in arms, in battle by now? She’d softly smile at her, stroking her hair..

But then, the effects of the match took its toll. Her eyes fluttered shut, as she simply passed out, regardless of the roars of the crowd and the cry of the referee for medics.

Saori cried. She had no more words to give, only an loud, emotional cry as she embraced her new sister tight. She could feel Cassandra's body giving out now. Saori herself didn't have much left in the tank either. Even as she cried she felt her body give out. "You better...!" She started, clinging to her consciousness as much as she could manage. "You better be older than me, or I'm... gonna'... be... pissed..." Her hug loosened as her consciousness really started to fade. Already she could see the medics rush to the ring with the stretchers. Yeah... they were in bad shape, no doubt about that.

This was... definitely a debut people would talk about. All that pain, all that brutality, and Saori somehow made a friend and battle sister out of it. The Brazilian circuit was kind of similar and even her short time in the NJPW and Wrestle Angels had hard fights lead to friendships. But this... this was a completely different matter. And as her consciousness faded and the medics placed the two on stretchers, she had a smile on her face. LAW... might not be such a bad place.
