Entering The Lions Den

Finlay had been nearly out on his feet as is before Hinata’s foot connected. Her furious flurry of attakcs left him dazed, defenseless and yet utterly amazed. He knew he had lost the spar, but he also knew that Hinata had impressed him a lot, and that if he wanted to get on her good side he would need to talk to her futher. But for now all he ahd was blackness. The moment her foot connected with his chin he was out, far before be hit the mat and his body sagged lifelessly to the mat, his head lolling to the side motionless.

Laying still as Hinata pressed her foot against his chest, the only sign of life from him was the slow rise and fall of it before Hinata finally went off to get a drink. Leaving Finlay to the devices of her bodygaurds…. ”PFFGUAH!” he yelled out as he snapped up to a sitting position as he was doused with cood water.

Looking arojnd wildly for a moment as he lurched away from his previous position he sent a deathglare to the two men and had he not been so beaten up, or needed something he would have likely kicked both their asses. But for now… “Where’s you’re boss?” He demanded in a low growl while glaring at the two, no sign of fear as he stared them down.

Hinata who had left the ring to get herself a refreshment would think about the match. Sure while brazen, Finlay had not made the worst impression on her. Maybe a bit to overzealous, but that has to be a male trait at this point. Seemingly cold hearted that Hinata knocked Finlay out and left him in the ring. She wouldn't worry to much about it since her bodyguards were taking care of him.

Finlay was interesting to say the least, but maybe there was something there. Hinata would get knocked out of her thoughts when she heard screaming from the ring. Likely knowing who was screaming Hinata left from the small break room. Heading back outside, Sounds like someone is awake Hinata said making herself visible with a water bottle in hand. Don't get to mad at them, I told them to wake you up. Might I say good results Hinata said with a small giggle at the end of her sentence. Was that match what you were looking for?

Finlay glared at the two smug bodyguards before him, fists clenched and ready to lash out. Which he probably would have done if it weren’t for the voice of his former sparring partner ringing out through the ring. Turning and looking at the woman as she approached Finlay took a breath to calm himself down before nodding too her. ”We have…. Very different definitions of good.” He said shooting snother glare to the two before focusing on Hinata again before getting a bit in thought at her question before finally nodding. “Yeah… you’re as skilled as I thought you were. I was hoping I could last longer, but you’re skills speak for themself.” He said acknowledging her strength and skill with a nod of his head.

Hinata noticed the death stare that Finlay was giving to her bodyguards. Not wanting any other sort of fight to happen she waved them off. Signaling them to remove themselves from Hinata and Finlay. Possibly, but you are awake Hinata said taking a sip of her water. Hinata would listen as Finlay gave his compliments to Hinata and her skill. Why thank you, though its not reason to sell yourself short. You could've been beaten way earlier Hinata said bluntly, but still wanting to praise Finlay. Afterwards she would knock on Finlay's head, as if to make fun of him for not wearing the protective gear she suggested.

Finlay continued to shoot a glre at the two bodyguards, but luckily it seemed that Hinata had picked up on the animosity between the males as she soon dismissed the two. Giving them a slightly smug look he turned his attention back to Hinata as she spoke. Nodding at her words he understood what she meant, and while it did sting a bit she was right. With her level of skill he could have very likely have been knocked out much sooner.

Though knocking his head did lut him off a bit, making his eye twitch skightly before reigning himself in with a sigh. ”Thank you I appreciate that.” He said witb a nod before looking at his fists than up to Hinata. “I was… wondering if you’d like to do this again. Maybe help me improve my hand to hand skills now that I know where I stand?” He asked her a bit unsure of how to put everything into words.

Hinata would be playful with Finlay, not wanting any bad blood between them. After all the spar was over and Finlay learned his lesson. At least Hinata had hoped. Surprising Hinata, Finlay would looked to be a small bit concerned. The way his eyes looked at his fists then to Hinata told her such. Finlay no was asking Hinata if she could do this again. As in helping him improve his hand to hand skills.

Oh? Now I didn't see that coming, you want me to help you? Why? Surely you could find other fighters better than me. Its not like you came to me because you were winning after all. Hinata said bluntly, she had only just met Finlay. Now he was looking for Hinata's teachings to make him better.

Finlay raised a eyebrow at Hinata’s response to his request. Not so kuch surprised she was apprehensive in of itself. But rather why she was. ”Its because I haven’t been winning that I’m asking. You’re talking as if you aren’t incredibly skilled and vicious in the ring.” he said complimenting her in his own way. “I go based on what I see, and from what I’ve seen, besides yourself there’s only one other person I’d even remotely consider asking, but she’s not here right now you are. And frankly I think you’re my best bet at improving.” He said honestly, not sure why Hinata seemed to be selling herself short.

What a sweetheart you are. Thank you for the compliment Hinata said, moving her gaze away from Finlay. While he was speaking the truth about Hinata's skill. Finlay was being earnest with his request. If this little meeting they had indicated anything, than it would be that this is something he wouldn't do normally. For some reason, Hinata's face would show a light tint of red. Was she dizzy? No that couldn't be the case, she felt fine the entire day. So what was it, taking another look at Finlay. I'll take you on that offer, but don't expect it to be any easier than the spar we just had.

As she considered her options Finlay considered if he had come on a bit too strong or intense, granted he wasn’t sure how else to act but hopefully it didn’t turn her off of tbe idea of teaching him. Soon enough however she gave him exactly the type of answer he wanted to hear as he needed to her. A small smirk blooming on his face as she stood up to be eye to eye with the woman while holding a hand up. ”That won’t be a problem. In fact I look forward to it.” He sajd confidently despite knowing he would more than likely be knocked out again. But if it meant a chance at improving upon his weaknesses he would gladly take it.

Hinata now was seemingly taking on Finlay as a student. Still uneasy about the whole thing, but those worries would have to worked out later. I sure hope you do. Considering how things ended now, this'd be your first lesson Hinata said as if she already had a second lesson prepped for Finlay.

Hinata more than understood wanting to improve ones skills. But something about Finlay and his motivation felt different from others. But she'd likely learn about it in due time. Now getting herself up, looking down at Finlay.Watch your head and try to cool any possible swelling with ice. I also suggest you don't do much for the rest of the day Hinata said signaling her guards as if it was time for her to go.
