Redesigns and Revelations - LAW Middleweight Championship

We fade in on the General Manager already in the ring, standing at a podium. Behind him, a trophy case containing a newly updated LAW championship title. The last of the new designs to be unveiled for the current lineup of LAW championship belts!

LAW Middleweight Championship Belt

"I'd make a 'saving the best for last' joke, but I'm supposed to be largely impartial. And I'd like to avoid starting anything." DeFranco began with a smile.

"What we have here is the newly updated LAW Middleweight Title. By now, everyone knows what that means." He paused for the roars and cheers of approval that followed when he gestured to the belt behind him.

"So please, join us here to accept it, LAW Middleweight Champion Lilian Byrne!" Lilian's names elicited a range of cheers and boos. As Dan and his crew got ready for the burly blonde's arrival, he approached the trophy case to pluck the title from it and hold it in preparation to hand it over to its rightful owner!

With the announcement of new and improved belts for all of the champions within LAW, it was only a matter of time before the reveal of the brand new middleweight championship, and today was finally that day, as Dan DeFranco would reveal! With the curtain finally lifted and the last belt design being revealed to everyone in attendance, the CEO and GM of LAW would quickly make way for the middleweight champion herself, as Lillian Byrne emerged from the back and made her way onto the stage!

The crowd would quickly make their feelings known, a wide range of emotion as the champion made her way onto the stage, but the only thing that was certain is that there were no people who didn't feel some sort of way about Lillian! Not that it mattered to her of course, as her eyes were solely fixed on one thing, and one thing only!

"Thanks for that Dan, but honestly, no reason to act impartial. Only natural that your top champion would be the favorite." Lillian proclaimed in an oddly sweet tone, but her eyes never moved off of the belt that he held, clearly being the main focus of hers as she almost regarded Dan like a cardboard cutout, reaching out to gently whisk the belt away from him as she admired it! With a gentle touch that many might find surprising coming from Lillian, the champion would place the belt gently around her waist, stopping to admire the feeling of it for a moment before motioning for a microphone, ready to turn and address the audience.

"Well first of all, I'd just like to say... what a pretty, pretty belt this is! And I couldn't think of anything more fitting than having this pretty new belt wrapped around my waist. Because in case any of you forgot, I was the one to dethrone Tina, when nobody else could. I defended my belt over and over and there is NOBODY in this entire promotion that can beat me. So whether or not you like me, I couldn't care less, but I expect that you all show respect to your champion and the best wrestler here!" Lillian declared proudly, confronting the audience with a smug smirk on her face, the brunette champion's promo further looking to establish herself as the top champion in LAW!

The unveiling of the new Middleweight Title design had fans in the arena cheering ubiquitously! It was a hit! But as popular as it was being received, no one could have been more excited for the new strap than the lady that was there to wear it! DeFranco clapped after handing the title to Byrne. Fans offered many mixed reactions as the champ went on a tirade declaring herself the very best, nigh unbeatable!

"Well, I don't know about top champion. The woman who goes on to become World Openweight Champion. That's the woman who would have the right to call herself top champion, right?"DeFranco shrugged, casting doubt on that claim.

"But hey, maybe I'm wrong. You've definitely beaten the challengers left and right. Challengers that you've chosen, as well as the challengers that have stepped forward, themselves. I can't lie about that. You're a very capable champion...." The CEO contemplated, whilst walking towards the ropes with his microphone in hand.

"But...how about you start beating the challengers that management deems worthy. Then we can talk about you being the very best we have to offer at this company. I've already selected your next challenger. And if you can make it through her, I'll select your next pay-per-view event opponent, as well. But let's go one step at a time, Byrne. I'll be heading out to take care of some business. Please welcome your next #1 Contender for the LAW Middleweight Title, everyone!"

With that, Dan would step through the ropes and take his leave. But instead of his music playing as he was leaving, the music of the next contender would start up! The GM would walk past her and offer a nod before making his exit.

As if right on cue, an entrance music was played, and the audience recognized the music, which made them cheer loud. The screen of the jumbotron showed the familiar-looking snowflake insignia before a video package of one particular blue-haired wrestler was shown. Then, the person in question, Yuki Onna, stepped out of the entrance as the her name was announced by the announcer. The elegant, cerulean-haired beauty took careful, deliberate steps as she made her way down the ramp, heading over to the ring.

The management had chosen Yuki Onna as the next #1 contender for the LAW middleweight title, and such a fact made her feel a little proud of herself. She had done quite well here in this promotion, and she saw this as an opportunity to raise her prestige even more. She knew that if she managed to get the redesigned silver belt of the LAW middleweight title off of the champion's waist, she would represent the middleweight division of LAW, and she knew that this was an opportunity that she couldn't simply let go.

Soon, Yuki entered the ring, and she gave Dan a polite bow. Then, she looked at the middleweight champion, Lilian Byrne and focused on the title belt. She made a signal so that she could be handed a microphone. Receiving the device, Yuki decided to say nothing for a while as she kept looking at the champion before she brought the microphone to her mouth. "Good evening, Mr. DeFranco." Yuki spoke calmly, deciding to address the CEO and the GM of LAW first. "Thank you for providing me this opportunity, and thank you for recognizing me as someone suitable to challenge for the title."

Then, she directed her gaze at Lilian and the title. "And you, Miss Byrne, I believe this is the first time we meet. Even so, while the management chose me as your next challenger, I'd like to extend my own challenge towards you." Fully focusing on the champion, Yuki then held out her hand and pointed at the newly-redesigned title belt. "That title, I'll take it off your hands." She declared firmly, her crimson eyes looking straight at the champion. "Please look forward to it. I'll make sure that you will remember this match for a long time..."

Admiring the belt as it hung around her waist, Lillian delivered an impassioned promo, the middleweight's fire and desire to be the best and the brightest clearly showing through, even if she had been quite the detested figure among some of the LAW audience! However, as she finished speaking, she would find Dan being the one who was quick to cast doubt on that claim, pointing out that the World Openweight Championship had still yet to be crowned, which prompted a scathing glare as she looked over at him. And as his own promo continued, Lillian's gaze only grew angrier and more dangerous, until she finally heard his line about challengers that management deemed worthy.

"You had best watch it, boss..." Lillian hissed, stepping forwards and gripping Dan's tie in threatening fashion, making it clear that she was not above losing her cool with the head of the promotion itself! But while she was certainly hot-headed, that very anger was soon to be directed away from Dan, as he would step back and away from the champion, while declaring that the next title challenger would be on her way down to the ring, with a shocked Lillian turning to confront none other than Yuki Onna!

As the blue clad wrestler made her way onto the ramp, Lillian would find her mouth open, turning to shoot yet another glare at Dan, now realizing that while she had been called out her for the unveiling of the new championship, it seemed that the real goal was to present the next woman who would get a chance to try and remove that very championship from her waist! Yuki would quickly made her way into the ring, and after motioning for a microphone and receiving one, would offer thanks, before turning her attention to Lillian! Her words were about what most would expect to hear from a challenger, but as she declared that she would be taking the title from Lillian, the two locked eyes, and Lillian's rage was clear to see!

"You little... you know what... Yeah. I am looking forward to it. And I definitely think we're going to remember it. And when I finish putting your head THROUGH the canvas, I'm sure everyone else will remember it too." She hissed, walking towards the ropes and deliberately pushing past Yuki, making her way back up the ramp! It seemed as though she'd have another test placed in front of her soon, and she was burning with the desire to show everyone that she was still the best middleweight around!

Yuki watched Lilian's reaction to her challenge, and she couldn't help but smile a little bit. When Lilian walked past her, even bumping her shoulder against hers, Yuki said and did nothing as she looked over her shoulder to see the middleweight champion leave the ring. Once Lilian was gone, Yuki and Dan remained in the ring, and Yuki decided to give the GM a polite bow, once again thanking him for granting her this opportunity.

With all had been said and done, Yuki decided to leave the ring, thinking that her part was already over. All that left was for her to fight Lilian in the title match, and hopefully, she would be able to dethrone the champion and take the title belt off her waist. She knew that she would be able to reach a new height upon winning this match, and she swore to herself to go all out against the champion. With that in mind, she left the ring.
