History:
Spoilered for long
Given her glamorous lifestyle, it’s easy to forget that Cynara Morgan grew up in an unremarkable middle-class household on the outskirts of Los Angeles. But those days have long been behind her. Growing up, she found herself bored by her surroundings, and always dreamed of climbing up the social ladder in the hopes of finding something bigger and better.
It wasn’t long before she figured out how she could bend things to her will to get her way. As early as high school, she found that she could use her good looks and charm to her advantage - most of the boys in her class were head over heels for her, and she could get them to do anything she wanted of them with the right words and just the slightest implication that their favors might get them somewhere. Not only was she beautiful, she had a cunning mind, and she quickly figured out how to fool those less clever than she was and reap the rewards without anyone being the wiser. Cynara would go on to consider this the greatest lesson she had ever learned, and it was one that carried her forward.
After graduating, Cynara knew exactly what she wanted to do. She wanted to get out of her banal existence and to reach for the stars. She quickly left her hometown to head for downtown LA. There, she hoped that she could get a foot in the door in Hollywood, propelling her into the spotlight and the wealth and fame that came with it. It didn’t take long for her to find a job as a model. It wasn’t one with a particularly spectacular pay, but Cynara only intended to use it as a stepping stone to a more luxurious career, perhaps as an actress. If modelling got the attention of someone who could take her further, she would consider that a success.
As it turned out, that was exactly what she would get - even if it wasn’t quite how she had anticipated it going.
Things might have gone differently in any other era, but Cynara happened to be around during the peak of the apartment wrestling fad - in which private wrestling matches between bikini-clad beauties were being held across the country among those close to the eccentric millionaire Dave Moll, who had pioneered the concept and helped propel it to the status of a cult phenomenon thanks to the coverage of the sport in the wrestling press. And it so happened that a wealthy man who had been invited to Moll’s social circle and inspired to bring apartment wrestling to the west coast had seen Cynara’s modelling work and found her captivating - enough so that he couldn’t help but think that she was the exact sort of once-in-a-lifetime star that could catch the eyes of the fans and investors he was looking for.
He reached out to Cynara, offering to give her her big break at fame and fortune. The girl was confused by the offer - it was like nothing she had ever seen before, and besides, she had little experience when it came to wrestling, although she had done well in athletic pursuits in her youth. But it was the closest she had ever come to anyone so wealthy, and that alone was reason to pursue the offer. Cynara signed on, expecting it to be one of several gigs on her road to stardom to build herself up, if an important and lucrative one. She could only imagine what was in store for her.
When she arrived at her new manager’s penthouse apartment in the heart of the city, she was blown away by the opulence and splendor of the place, as well as the high society company she enjoyed. It was under his auspices that she began to train, learning about wrestling moves and the basics of how to fight and exert her dominance.
But the moment of truth wouldn’t come until Cynara was to take part in Los Angeles’s first apartment wrestling tournament, to be held as the west coast bracket of a larger effort to crown the national champion of the erotic sport along with Dave Moll’s east coast bracket in New York. She was making her debut there, and no one had any idea of how well she would do. While her striking looks caught many an eye, her wrestling talents were yet unproven, and she was up against girls who had achieved respectable careers wrestling in high school and college.
To everyone’s surprise, however, Cynara proved a natural when it came to wrestling. Although she wasn’t especially skilled, she got in a few lucky shots - and, more importantly, she was able to get in her opponents’ heads and catch them off-guard, using tricky tactics and faking out her foes to secure the lead. Soon, she had emerged as the winner of the tournament, and - in the eyes of the promoter - as the best apartment wrestler on the west coast. Before long, she was set to face the east coast champion, who she managed to pin in a hard-fought two-out-of-three-falls bout, crowning her as the undisputed champion.
It was the greatest achievement of her life, up to that point. She felt grasped by the ecstasy of victory. It was at that moment that Cynara had made up her mind; she knew what she wanted to do.
For the next few months, Cynara held onto her championship, winning successful defenses against many challengers. As her victories grew, so too did her fame, and she became well established as a fan favorite. Even today, she boasts of being the most famous apartment wrestler of all time, and many would agree with her.
Many thought that she could never be defeated. But later that year, Cynara’s undefeated streak was brought to an end, as she relinquished her championship to a new rising star. Although she wrestled a few matches after that, it wasn’t long before Cynara announced her retirement from active competition. Her status had brought many new eyes on her and drawn the attention of many friends and would-be suitors, and at last, she stepped down from the sport to marry a wealthy New York publisher named Danny Easton, who she had met through the coverage of her matches in his magazines. With the challenges of raising a family ahead of her, she no longer had the time to devote to wrestling, and although the fires of competition still burned in her heart, apartment wrestling was on a decline. Soon, even her name faded into obscurity among all but the most devoted of fans of wrestling esoterica.
She never quite stopped being involved in the wrestling business, however. Thanks to her husband covering wrestling in his publications, she always had a finger on the pulse of the industry, and followed its trends out of casual interest. One thing that caught her attention, however, was when the magazines began reporting on LAW, a new promotion out of Japan that was quickly rising in popularity and drawing viewers worldwide.
Soon, the fledgling promotion announced that it would be making a landing in Long Beach for its first international card - and with the promotion coming so close to home, Cynara felt it was high time to make her return. Although she was long since past peak physical condition, and doubted she could stand a chance against the best LAW had to offer, she could at least become a manager and offer her help to those who walked the same path she did years ago - perhaps, under her guidance, they would prosper the same way she did. And when they did, they would have her to thank.

And when they did, they would have her to thank.
As a manager, Cynara is the type to seek out rising talent that she thinks could go far and to give them the help they need to succeed. Make no mistake, though - it isn’t purely out of selflessness. She still craves the attention and the limelight, and she feels that if she can’t do that through wrestling any more, she can at least live vicariously through her clients and their successes. She’s keen to get attention through her involvement, and will cut promos for her clients in which she’ll fall back on her fame and success, arguing that it should lend credence to their own efforts.
Although she’ll train her clients to help them achieve success, she also has no qualms about cheating to get her way and to ensure her clients come out on top. She achieved her success through her cunning and her use of exploits in her opponents’ strategies, breaking their composure and catching them by surprise once she had lured them into her trap. Even though the world of professional wrestling is a more tightly regulated one than that of apartment wrestling, Cynara sees no reason to change her tactics. If she needs to put her client’s foot on the ropes, or hit their opponent while the ref isn’t looking, she will as long as it advances her cause and helps those she wants to win. As far as she’s concerned, more rules just means more rules she can break.
Trivia:
- Even after marrying, Cynara kept her maiden name of Morgan, as she feels it makes her more recognizable.
- Conversely, “Cynara” is not her birth name. It was a name she adopted as a model because it had “more mystique,” and she later had her name legally changed to what she achieved fame as. She doesn’t enjoy talking about her birth name.

Relationships with Other Characters:
- Ava Rose is Cynara's client, the two having met while the model was in LA for Fight The LAW. Cynara saw the potential in Ava and offered her services to help her win her match at the PPV, and Ava accepted. Although she's proud of Ava, Cynara still hopes to use her career to prove that she still has what it takes to stand out in the wrestling world.
- Mina Morgan is Cynara's daughter and protege, and the current holder of the AHW Championship. When Cynara came to LAW, it wasn't long until she decided she was going to bring her daughter along to carry on her legacy in front of a new and bigger audience. She's trained her carefully to be a worthy successor to her name, and she manages her in her matches.
- Clara is something of Cynara's protegee. Seeing potential in the amnesiac girl, Cynara offered to take her off the street and train her as a member of her stable, the Morgan Dynasty, as well as giving her a place to stay at her apartment. She sees Clara as an opportunity first and foremost, and wants to shape her into a loyal agent of her cause, taking advantage of her gratitude. Clara, however, is starting to see through her motives, even if Mina wants to keep her from rocking the boat too much.
- Nashi Dragneel became a target of Cynara as the former champion saw fit to stop her rise to fame in its tracks, having her daughter ambush her in a match before the two of them dominated and humiliated her in order to win them fame and attention for taking on such a popular rising star, as well as looking to prove that Nashi and her legacy couldn't come close to theirs. Although Cynara regards Nashi as too little of a threat to even consider, Nashi does one day seek vengeance.
