Ashley Lucas stood backstage making some last minute adjustments to her outfit as she prepared for her match for tonight against a member of LAW's lightweight division; a woman known as Neopolitan, or just Neo for short. Against an opponent like Neo it was clear she had an advantage given that Ashley had a height lead of over six inches on the girl, but Ashley had done her homework on the girl so she knew that despite her slight stature Neo was a real nasty piece of work. And with a match type like this where such nastiness was not only encouraged but rewarded Ashley certainly had her work cut out for her. That being said Ashley was still confident in her ability so she didn't feel nervous about her chances as she waited for the match to begin.

Soon she'd hear her entrance music playing so she knew it was time to come out. After giving herself one last deep breath to steel herself for action Ashley would run out of the gorilla position with her head held high and a fist pumped into the air as she was greeted by the cheers of her fans. Ashley would linger at the top of the ramp for a second before jogging down to the ring, giving waves and smiles to fans as she passed them. Soon she would reach the ring and climb into it and make a lap of the ring, once more pumping her fist into the air to get the audience all hyped up for the match before settling into one of the corners and resting against it.

Soon her entrance theme would fade away and the lights would dim in anticipation of Neo's entrance. Ashley would keep a close eye on the top of the ramp as she waited for Neo to arrive, wanting to get a good look at her opponent for the first time.

Neopolitan was backstage getting prepped for her match tonight. It was against one Ashley Lucas, from the small amount of info Fall gave her. Ashley knew her way around a ring, seeing as how she's had plenty of matches. Both rough and easy, but now she was paired against Neopolitan. At least Neopolitan was able to get some fun out of this match. With someone like Ashley it is doubtful she is easy pickings. Though she wouldn't be that way until after Neopolitan was done with her. Finishing up her last touches Neopolitan sat on a nearby bench thinking of the things to put Ashley through.

Some of that thinking would be cut off with the loud sound of music playing. Neopolitan could tell when Ashley showed herself based on the reaction from the audience. With a response like that Ashley looked to be a favorite, or at least well liked. That put a smile on Neopolitan making things even more fun. Neopolitan knew she was the underdog here, nothing new for her. Making it all the better when she puts Ashley away.


She'd be instructed by staff to get ready since she was next. Neopolitan guessed that Ashley was done with her entrance. Sighing as she got up Neopolitan waited for her entrance music to start playing.

Neopolitan came down the ramp skipping with an umbrella. Neopolitan kept her patented smile and was greeted with a similar response compared to Ashley. Not entertaining anyone in the audience, purely keeping her gaze on the ring and Ashley.

Upon reaching the ring Neo would use the steps to get on the apron and slide through the middle ropes. Getting closer to Ashley now with them being closer, Ashley looked much taller than she actually was. Neo showing proper sportsmanship would give Ashley a small courtsy, before heading to the opposite side of the ring. Electing to move herself between the middle and top rope and sit on the rope. Now smiling at Ashley, though something was off about everything. Ashley would have to get used to Neopolitan's certain "quirks" as would the rest of the audience. Surely giving her a layer of mystery everyone wanted to figure out.

Ashley would watch closely as Neo made her appearance, giving a rather lowkey entrance as she strolled down the ramp with an umbrella. Once she reached the ring the two of them would finally be face to face, or rather face to collarbone given the size difference between the two women. Hearing that she was up against a woman who stood at a mere 4'10 tall didn't quite prepare her for the reality of looking down at a woman like that when she was about to fight her. If the blonde was being completely honest it would be quite hard for her to take Neo seriously in a normal situation, but since Ashley had taken the time to look into her opponent she knew not to make the mistake of underestimating this dangerous woman.

Though even without this knowledge Ashley could sense that something about the woman was... off. Despite her small size she had an intimidating aura in the way she carried herself and that unsettling smile of hers, it honestly made the blonde feel a little unnerved. Even so she had no intention of backing down, she planned on hitting the woman fast and hard to keep her down and take advantage of her superior physical strength. With that in mind Ashley would meet Neo's eyes, staring her down until the bell rang.

*DING DING DING*

Neopolitan was known for being the quiet type. But even she was surprised when Ashley had nothing to say at all. Usually Neopolitan's opponents would have something to say about now. It being about her height, hair color or just some banter. Not that it bothered her, she was more than willing to let the silence fill the ring. What Neopolitan was more interested in was Ashley's expression. It wasn't so intense that she was staring daggers at Neopolitan. But it was one that told Neopolitan that Ashley was confident and proud. That same expression so many other goody two shoe wrestlers had. Wiping that expression from Ashley's face and changing it to one that suited her more.

The bell ringing only meant one thing, that the match had started. Wanting to take a closer inspection of Ashley, Neopolitan would spread out her arms as if she were looking to grapple with Ashley. Trying to see what her opponent would do in response.

As the two women waited for the match to begin they would exchange no words; Ashley by choice and Neopolitan... for uncertain reasons. Though the silence hung heavily in the air it would not persist for long before the bell rang to signal the start of the match. Ashley would come out of her corner slowly, not looking to rush things as she slowly raised her arms. Seeing that Neo chose to do the same Ashley would spread her arms to match hers and attempt to clasp hands with the lightweight. Should she succeed Ashley would start pushing back against Neo, hoping to force her back to the ropes.

Neopolitan was more than content with letting the silence fill the air. After all she had no reason to say anything to Ashley. Not that it mattered to Ashley as she planned to break the silence with her actions. Spreading her arms wide and locking arms with Neopolitan. Initiating the grappling session to start the match. Neopolitan try as she might would try and push back Ashley to no success. Meaning that Ashley was able to get her wish and push the small lightweight to the ropes. But the face Neopolitan had on display looked as though this was a good position for herself.

As the match began the two fighters would lock arms with each other and begin a pushing match, a clash that given the gap in size between them would go exactly how you expected it to despite Neo's confidence as Ashley forced her to backpedal until eventually the lightweight's back met the ropes. Though in spite of her small victory Ashley couldn't help but be a little unnerved at how unbothered Neo looked, as if this was actually advantageous for the small woman and Ashley was falling for her trap.

Whether this was true or not nothing would be achieved if Ashley didn't act, so she would attempt to pull Neo's arms to the side to open up her guard before throwing up a knee aimed at her gut! If she succeeded and she managed to force Neo to double over then Ashley would quickly follow up by tucking Neo's head under her armpit and attempting to fall back so that Neo's skull would be dropped onto the mat for a DDT! It was a simple but effective combo that would hopefully hurt Neo quite a lot if it hit.

Neopolitan was someone to not show their all her cards so soon. But that would be a mistake because Ashley would take the initiative in the match. Ashley easily spread Neopolitan's arms apart in their grapple. Not allowing Neopolitan to get anything she wanted in, which the knee to the gut did. Getting the lightweight to double over whilst in the grapple. Ashley wasn't done there, she would even follow up by hooking Neopolitan's head under her armpit landing a DDT.

Neopolitan would grunt in pain as she held her head bouncing off of the mat. Trying to recover quickly that way Ashley can't have her way with Neopolitan so early in the match. Maybe Ashley's feelings were just her overthinking and estimating Neopolitan.

In the early moments of the match Ashley clearly had the lead between the two women, bullying the smaller woman Neo over to the ropes before grabbing her and smashing her down onto the mat with a DDT! Neo was hurt by the move but didn't stay down long, quickly getting back up to her feet before Ashley could follow up on her attack. That was why Ashley would instead throw herself back into the ropes and rebound off of them, hoping to launch herself at Neo before leaping up and extending her legs so that her momentum would send her flying at Neo to attempt a dropkick to her chest! The blonde was looking to keep up the offense so she could keep the lightweight from gaining any momentum in the match.

Landing that DDT did no favors for Neopolitan. Giving Ashley extra confidence was not something Neopolitan was looking to do. Getting herself back up even before Ashley, that way she could at least be ready for the next move. Ashley though looked like she was more ready than Neopolitan, bouncing to the ropes and running straight at Neopolitan. Ashley was looking for a massive dropkick to send Neopolitan back down on the mat again.

But Ashley must've misjudged the damage she did to Neopolitan. Neopolitan sidestepped the dropkick easily letting Ashley fall down to the mat herself. To counter Neopolitan would first stomp on Ashley's body to make things easier. Following that she would flip over Ashley onto her stomach and grab onto both of her legs. Bringing and folding them forward for a sick looking reverse Boston Crab!
